- To say I am exhausted at this point is an understatement, this build has been a long time coming.. Introducing the CRF250F "Works Edition" With an almost unlimited budget we left no bolt unturned transforming this entry level trail bike into a single track weapon.
Majority of parts can be found on hyperlitemoto.com
Regulars on the channel will know that I have had this bike for well over a year now and a lot of these modifications I have done along the way. In the beginning my main focus was fixing the suspension. These bikes are sprung for kids and my big a** just wasn't having a good time bottoming out over every little pebble so I reached out to Bruce's Suspension and he got me dialed in with an aftermarket rear shock sprung to my weight, custom damper rods, flute extenders and heavier fork springs.
The next most important thing on the list for me was protection and we have just about every guard that you can buy for this bike, from the new SXS skid plate to all of the Anker and AMX protective parts straight out of Brazil, this air cooled 250cc engine is well shielded from the elements.
One of the most expensive upgrades that I did recently was send a pair of stock hubs out to Dubya in California to get powder coated and laced in a new set of D.I.D. Dirt Star Wheels. On top of an all black plastic kit and graphics from Kalair this bike is completely unrecognizable..
Another big upgrade is the cockpit, we added a set of Flexx handlebars from the Faast company and a pair of heavy duty hand guards from Molecule Motorsports. We also changed up our lighting and I made custom brackets to mount a slim light bar and fork wrap turn signals to give it a sleek streamline look.
We are still not finished but I am happy with the progress made and this new look is incredible. Also big thanks to Kenda powersports for providing a set of Parker DT tires for the build I look forward to doing a full review on them.
Special thanks to Rocky Mountain ATV/MC, Nick from @urbexcross , Amsoil, Vonkat, and onX off-road.

It's always fun to throw money at a bike!
Unlimited budget is everyone's dream.
i have one 250f here in brazil, already spend amost half of the original bike price lol
So cool to see someone give this bike it's due. That is a great bike, especially for shorter riders. It's more fun to ride a slow fast than a fast bike slow. I've always loved the low-end torque on those air-cooled engines. Awesome job Tanner. Maybe hold onto this bike for a while 😊
This is the BADDEST crf250f I’ve ever seen. She looks tatted up.
Thank you👊🏻
Came out fantastic man! Great job!
Looks Awesome AD, can't wait to see the riding content with it!
Literally perfected the build. 🔥
Dude, that bike looks fan-frickin-tastic!! Great job!
Awesome Job Tanner! Looks amazing, works perfect, woo! Enjoy that bad boy!
coolest bike i’ve ever seen!!!
Man that thing is tuff.i need one of those.great work
Home run. You hit this out of the ballpark. It's perfect......I love it.
Great job budddy! keep doing what u doing chiief!!!
Oh my gosh it’s great to see you
You as well! Thanks for being here.
Looks killer!🔥🤘🏻
My, My, My, WOW!!! DUDE! HOLY CROW! That is by far and away the Coolest Honda and or dual sport, I have ever seen!
I haven’t watched your channel in a bit, but I tuned in after all the tornadoes that rolled through lately and thought of you, because you had a video about the ones a while back and it brought back sad memories for me for those involved. Your video in reference was good, despite the tragedy. I’m so glad you are doing well and thriving.
I wrote you before and I’m the guy in Vermont and I am lucky enough to have a KLX 250 and 300 and I have tricked them out a bit,
But nothing like that! So many quotes I could say! Off the hook, off the chain, bad ass etc! I’m Stunned! I agree with your girl,
That’s insane! My quote before she said it! You could build these and sell them, I’ll be first in line. And I thought I was a bit off thinking about tricking out my bikes. I Absolutely Love it, Stunning beyond my imagination. My best to you and yours!
Thanks!
Beautiful build brother! Top notch that’s for sure! Absolutely love it and well said for the ones wondering why money goes into them! 🤙🍻 Looking forward to what ya have planned next
Jesus CHRIST that thing is beautiful! 👌👌👌 Well done!
Thank you!!
Great job on the build. I am usually a oem guy with the exception of small touches but this is 🔥 🔥 🔥 baddest 250f on TH-cam ✔️
Those are good bikes for sure. I have the KLX300R and it's also an amazing trail bike. Honestly I have 3 KTMs and and a CRF250X and I ride the KLX300R more than any of them for trail riding. Love your videos!
Kalair has such good quality graphics I got a set for my xr150L so I don’t have to worry about scratching it up
Another great video. I agree with all you say about the 450's, I had one myself, I had the 450X version, So it was crazy fast, and fun ln more open trails but. thats all it wanted to do, I had an XR250 way back and remember nothing but big smiles I have a Beta 300rr now and wonder about the 200rr LOL, Looking forward to the ride video.
I ended up getting my wife a KLX 140 with full-size wheels. Great size, great weight, it tractors nicely, and it is so hard to stall. Very easy to mod for more power and throttle response when she needs it. I'm very happy with it and she was ripping on it. She wiped out once which slowed her down for a bit out of fear but pushed through it.
Beautiful build!! I love the Kenda Parker DT rear tires. I've run them for years on several bikes. I don't care as much for the parker front. I prefer the pirelli scorpion xcmh up front instead.
that's a nice bike!
Thank you!!
The only thing that would make that better is a kick start lever! She looking good.
I roll start mine all the time
Awesome 250f sexier than socks on a rooster 🐓 lol very cool.
Bike came out SICK! Dude, for real, it needs a 6 speed, man that would be perfect. First 4 gears for off roading and then last two for road/long straights. Nice looking beard on ya too pal. Everything is DIALED!
Pretty cherry ride, man👌
Maybe what you’re looking for is a wr250r. 15 pounds heavier than your Honda after you remove the nonsense items, but 10 more ponies and a 6 speed. They are pretty reliable too.
Love what you did with the Honda though. It sure is a beautiful and capable machine. Congrats on coming completing the build! Enjoy!
Holy shit dude you went crazy
Bad ass !!!
Thank you!!
As someone who put 800+ hours on mine, they are bullet proof. Only thing i did was oil changes, and did skid plates and covers, they where good cheap insurance.
Please give a link to the light bar it looks sick!!
Wow, didn't know the guy sining Rich Men North Of Richmond rode bikes!
WORKIN ALL DAY
Nioce realllll nioce!
DUDE! The edits are sick! Also the Kenda Parker DT rear has been my go-to for years. The front is trash imo, you should try the GoldenTyre GT216AA front tire with the Parker DT rear.
That Looks Dope. nice parts.
It’s time for an Africa twin dct that’s the future, just saying
I am interested in your opinion of the Vonkat El Jefe rear shock versus Bruce's Hagon rear shock setup.
Hey I am upgrading the forks on my CRF250F. Do you remember what the shock fork oil weight was? I’m thinking it’s probably 5w.
Love the channel. Keep the 250f videos coming!
Looks too good to get dirty!
Thanks for sharing, what a great looking bike! I just received my Vonkat shock from Hyperlite, I'm wondering how many turns you did to set your preload on the spring? Looks like you did quit a bit, also wondering how much your sag is? Keep the vids coming, you've given me lots of great ideas!
How much total would all your upgrades cost anyone who wanted to build an identical bike without any sponsorships?
What light bar is that? Looks slick
Bro great video… I have a 250F 2022… how much did all this cost?
I 100% agree this bike whoops be perfect with a 6 Speed
Another one with 360 or 400 kit
So sick. Too bad Honda doesn’t have a 400F
Fact tree 🏭
What those upgrades set u back ?
Thoughts on the el jefe vs Hagon?
Where did you get the LED light bar?
Link to aftermarket shifter please!!
Hey man i bought the 2023 crf250f here in nova scotia we have some gnarlly trails and alot of rock my question is have you ever looked into inverted suspension? I hurd crf150 and 250r triples will fit just curious is all and sick ride man my buddy wants to so all black plastics too
What front suspension are you running? Bruce's?
How does the ride height compare to stock?
Thanks for the bike build. If I can get the suspension working better, it would be an even better ride. I went with the Hagon shock and Bruce's front fork modification and heavier spring, but it's way too stiff. What lighter weight spring did you get?
Have you set your sag? My rear suspension is awesome. The forks seem tight on mine as well. Thinking about adding fork bleeders. And a lighter oil
I have the Bruce's susp special. Front and rear
What are your thoughts on the GPX 250E air cooled bike? looks interesting.
Does the plastics fit a 2022 crf250f? Just wondering I have the bike and would love black plastics
Does anybody know what the rubber things are on the suspension
I blew that Vonkat shock up in less than 10 hours. Horrible shock.
Hmmm how did you manage that and did you reach out to him?
It's just not built for the type of riding we do. It puked it's guts out all over the ground underneath my bike. I thought I had cracked the case because there was so much oil. They did replace it, no questions asked. Awesome Customer Service. If they could make it beefier, it would be awesome. I did like the way it rode. I'm now on the Tuscany shock and it's the best out of all of them so far, plus it raises the rear end, more travel, and more adjustment. Definitely recommend it. Your bike turned out great. I have those flex bars on one of my other bikes. Try blue compression and yellow rebound with 3 threads sticking out of the nut. THATs the ticket!!!!
@@usmc03 I have been looking into the Tuscany shock as well. I bought the Hagon and I don't like it, it's too stiff. I also want a better front fork setup, I bought the set up and spring from Bruce, but it too was way too stiff. I need softer front springs I'm guessing.
@@usmc03I’m rocking Tuscany rear shock and good pressure fork kit awesomeness
You guys have me worried because I just ordered from Bruce! Picking my bike up later this week and was going to change suspension to Bruce’s before I ever throw a leg over the thing.
ola, sou Brasileiro e aqui nos temos uma opção de colocar o cambio de 6 velocidades, mas nao fica muito bom não.
aqui no Brasil temos varias peças de reposição para essa moto.
Link to the torque wrench, pplease
anyone know when he says where he got the graphics kit
Watch the video brotha
@@AdventureDaily yeah i did last night but i was too lazy to write down where you got the graphics from so i’m rewatching it now 😂
Beautiful bike! If you like the black graphics and I don't.
Why didn’t you get a shock with a remote reservoir?
I didn’t know there was one that fits?
@@AdventureDaily maybe there isn't. I don't have a CRF 250f, so I don't know. I guess I just assumed there was a shock w remote res, but since the stock shock doesn't have one, maybe there isn't any place to mount the res. Seems like one could find a place though ...
@@tecdive8045 Tuscany Racing has a remote reservoir
I just don't get it. CRF250F = $5000. Plus all your performance upgrades (not including your cosmetic and protection upgrades) cost at least $3500 - not including the cost of time for installation! Now what do you have? A $8500+ bike that can be plated in some but not all states, and still has LESS horsepower, LESS torque, harder clutch, weak forks, LESS shock performance, LESS suspension travel, cheap brakes, LESS fuel capacity, NO speedometer, NO GPS, NO Traction Control, and NO fuel mapping - when you could have gotten a Beta 350 RS, that has all of these things and more right out off the showroom floor - for not all that much more. And then you could have spent all the time you spent researching, ordering, and installing - riding instead. And you had to upgrade your upgraded parts more than once because you weren't satisfied with your original upgrades - which ups your cost even more! Is it that you prefer a 'kit' bike - for the fun of upgrading it? Or that you like underpowered bikes with suspension that will always be lacking in travel and performance? Or is it because CRF250F videos are a fun way to pay the bills? That is actually not a bad reason! But why would such videos be so popular? I suspect they provide affirmation to other CRF250F owners (who bought their bikes because of price) who are yearning for affirmation about how fantastic their bike could be - if they add almost as much in aftermarket upgrade parts as the bike originally cost. What did I miss?
Honda engine.
Can’t plate a Beta in WI according to my dealer.
Beta RR-S / RS models are plated in all 50 states, just like KTM EXC-F & Husky FE s models
Speaking from experience its funne to ride a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow and its more manigeble
@bmx_boys1431 - I very much agree about the fun of riding underpowered bikes - good point - cheers
Please don’t sell that beauty lol
💯%ART🤍❤🖤
I got a vonkat for my crf125fb pitter bike and it is so sexy lol
