This blanket is gorgeous Robin. I'm going to try this, but, I think I'll carry the necessary yarn up the side and put on a border. I hate sewing in all those tails ♥️

Very wise 😂 I always regret my decision to cut the yarn when it comes to dealing with those pesky ends!

    Amazing idea!
I would use magic knots when I change colors though to avoid weaving ends and it would make keeping the tension at the end of rows easier.. Amazing idea as usual 👏👏👏 Thanks a lot for sharing your inspirations 🌷

Rose Smile. Hello what are magic knots when you're changing your wool please? Hate weaving in the ends myself.

I recently found your channel looking for a granny square tutorial, after looking at numerous tutorials, my granny squares weren’t looking right. As soon as I followed yours, it’s turned out perfect and now I’m making my first blanket while in isolation, so I just wanted to say thank you! Can’t wait to follow your other videos 🥰

Love doing this sort of colour change. Been doing it for 60 years. And it does look lovely when one of the yarns is a variegated. Made a wheelchair shawl with five colours and a coordinating multi coloured yarn. Very comfy. Just need to find someone to give it to.

Love the colours in this blanket which I have in my yarn stash! I just started your Lotus Flower blanket yesterday,
It is so addictive, I’m at row 20 already. I was needing some inspiration as past few weeks I just seem to have brain fog on what to crochet.
You explain things so well Robin, and I’m sure a beginner would be able to follow your pattern and video easily. Thank you for taking time to make these videos, Some tutorials seem to over complicate patterns, but you explain things (in my opinion) very clearly.

have I been crocheting wrong the whole time??? I thought when crocheting that your hook goes under both loops of the stitch so the whole project is flat in the end, or was this something that you just did to add a bit of texture?

Don't panic! You haven't been doing it wrong! Crocheting into the back loop only is what gives it the ribbed texture 😀 (normally you go under both loops for standard flat blankets 👍)
