Robin I’ve just found you. Firstly think I have to say you are the clearest speaking teacher on YT You work at a good clear speed no distracting music. I’m hooked.
The thing I love abour you channel dear, is that you're always so consistent in explanations, no matter if it's simple or complicated. Thank you for sharing your passion with us! Because of you, I've learned many stitches ✨
Another small dunk video by the fabulous teacher, Robin!!! Anyone who wants to learn new patterns or is just learning, there is NO ONE on you tube who teaches better than Robin!!! I have never not been able to do one of her tutorials!!! I absolutely adore her videos for their clear and concise directions, given at a speed and view that is easy to follow and understand. Thank you Robin for being the amazing human being that you are!!!
Thank you Robin I love the block stitch I made my granddaughters very first baby blanket using this stitch just the way you did changing colour every row with white in between my son had bought me a large bag of beautiful rainbow minis and this is how he told me I was going to be a grandma 💞saying I might want to make a baby blanket with it , it’s my favourite one of many I made 🥰Amanda xx
I love this stitch. It would be good for our charity blankets. We get a lot of yarn donated from time to time and never enough to make a whole blanket with just one colour. I'm thinking, to make this one nice, I would buy a white, black or neutral colour for the chain loop rows throughout and use the colours donated. Something different and will look very nice. I usually weave my ends in after about six of them. That way I don't have I big blanket of threads to weave in at the end. Just the last six or so. Thank you for your videos. I always enjoy them and there is always something new to learn.
Thank you so much for the simple and easy instructions. I enjoy Crocheting now very much. I just learned how to from watching your tutorials. And I just celebrated my 80th birthday. You are a joy to watch. God bless you child. From West Virginia.
I have just found your channel and have just bought my wool to begin to make a throw using your pattern. I’ve been binge watching your videos and having watched hundreds of tutorials, can honestly say, without shadow of a doubt you are the best at teaching. Your videos are so concise, simplified and really easy to follow. I have subscribed and will definitely be watching and learning with your tutorials. Well done Robin you’re doing a fantastic job. ❤
I love this stitch… it does look nicer when you use a contrasting color for the single crochet row. Thank you for sharing all of your beautiful projects. 💜🙏🏻
Did a google search so I could learn this stitch, I saw “hooked by robin” and said, “yup, that’s the one. She always does it clear and to the point.” Thanks for being a dependable resource for me to learn from.
I really like this stitch! I think it gives such a vintage look, like from the 1930s! You do a great job explaining and showing how to do it as well. Thank you so very much for sharing this with us.😊
I just love your tutorials. They are so precise and methodical, so easy to follow. Thank you for taking the time to show us all these stitches. One tip though, if you turn your work the other direction, under instead of over, it’s a lot easier to see your turning chain when you get to the end of the row.
@@HookedbyRobin I spent a whole day on the edging which seemed like infinate hdc but was so happy about the result! Didnt use a pattern, either. Winged it the whole way.
I'm using a variegated yarn, with a plain colour for the sc row, picking up the variegated yarn colours. It's fun and relaxing. Thanks for another great stitch. We are into winter ❄️ 🥶 here in Tasmania, so keeping warm with crocheting 🧶 🔥.
Oh Robin, this is one of my very favorite stitches. I have not tried yet; I have so many tutorials I have fallen in love with. This is one of my top 5 ❤gayle. That you for sharing.
Ive made a wide snood/infinity scarf for my SILs bday with this stitch using caron latte cakes (the kinda fluffy ish yarn) & it turned out fab! I did 4 DC tho & a chain 3 to make the blocks wider. It was gorgeous!
@@lorijoplin8229 I made it quite wide, maybe 50cm/25" ish & right down to about my groin in length so she could either wear it doubled around loosely or tripled more snug around her neck. I made it extra wide so she could double it over & wear part of it as a hood to cover her ears & back of her neck if need be. I was surprised as I thought such a fluffy & coloured yarn would look better with just a plain stitch like DC but it looked terrible so I tried this stitch & the bricks looked so so good! I did it in the blackberry colour with dark purple/blackberry co!ours & apricots, it was so nice!
Robin, this is so cute and beautifully simple at the same time. I am going to my "stash" shelf and grab a hook and yarn and rewatch your video while making my own little swatch. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much for this straightforward tutorial. I've been seeing this stitch around for a while and thought it would be a bit more challenging than it appears here. Can't wait to give it a try. Thanks again.
First of yours I’ve seen. Thank you for being so clear, and using English terminology consistently. This looks like it would be a good “scrap” project with the different double crochet colored rows.
I love an alt to turning chain rather than chaining to get nice straight edges with no gaps, but I was taught to do the 2nd sc in the leg of the first one so they are stacked, rather than in the gap, I tried both, like what I was doing better but always good to see other options!
I'm a fairly new crochet-er and your videos are SO clear and helpful, thank you! You're making me want to try making sample patches of all these beautiful stitches and see if I can make a blanket from them
❤As Always, Robin, your tutorial for the crochet block stitch is Absolutely Perfect! So easy to follow your instructions and to hear your beautiful voice. Thank You So Much for sharing your Creativity, Inspiration and Knowledge!❤Kind Regards from Texas
I just love your tutorials, so easy to follow, I have already made a scarf, 3 blankets, and two cat rugs for my cat all with different stitches. I love the moss stitch it is so easy, Thanks Robin💗
That tutorial was so easy + fun + i making (it's not done yet, but someday it will be done) my blanket using that stich, even I'm using acrylic yarn + 10mm crochet hook, but when i started to make (i make longer chain + i kinda color change like i tie new color on the last color so i don't need to do weaving at end, because my blanket is gonna be long before border (i maybe gonna so border on that blanket)) i enjoying doing that stich (when i started repeat rows 3-4) over and over again so thank you for that tutorial it was so fun to watch.
I wonder how it would look with the single crochet row in rainbow colors and the double crochet row in white/cream? I think that would make a beautiful baby blanket. Thanks for another wonderful tutorial, Robin ❤️
