Hey Brother, since you are on the AI squad stuff. Give Republic Commando a replay! Not sure if you have done so recently however, That shit was ahead of its time for sure :)
This is easily my favorite Ghost Recon game ever. I enjoyed all the Rainbow Six games up until Vegas 2, all the Splinter Cell titles, and all the Far Cry games until Instincts Predator. Wow, so many great memories... It's hard to believe how a company can go from that to such a disappointment.
At the time I didn't like the multiplayer for this game, coming from the original ghostrecon. But now I look back on it as a really great time in multiplayer gaming.
I'll never forget the mission where you're solo and all your high tech equipment is damaged, tensions are high and you're fighting for your life to reach an extraction point. GRAW 2 was on top of my pile of Xbox 360 games for a long time

Ubisoft got way too reliant on the Assassin's Creed/FarCry3 template. But when they do publish a game that is different they're always great. The studio that made that metroidvania Prince of Persia game was recently shut down.
The War on terror had much to do with the hype behind this game as much as all the other fps games from the early 2000s. Around 2010 - 2012 public opinion on the war became extremely negative and Ubisoft moved away from the Ghost Recon franchise until 2017 with the emergence of Wildlands, which was more about narco militants and warlords in a fictional setting.

I am constantly bringing up GRAW 2. I talk about how it did so much that should be standard for the genre, but wasn't continued. A full package game with a great singleplayer game with squad controls and controls over your mission specific support. Multiplayer maps that take all class roles into consideration for the map design. Both for pvp modes and the 16 player co op. It was always so fun arranging a big co op lobby and a game plan for how we're all going in and where to position ourselves. And speaking on the different experiences depending on where you play the game. The first GRAW was first person on PC and Original Xbox, while third person on the Xbox 360. And then Red Storm made America's Army. Which reused a ton of assets from the 360 versions of GRAW and GRAW 2. Same gun models. Same maps. Same HUD and UI. Most of the OpFor character models were just slightly altered. Even had the 16 player co op.
GRAW was the first game I played at 360 launch. That embassy scene was incredible. Can you imagine what these games would be like with modern hardware? Fixing Ubisoft shouldn’t be that hard. Just go back to old Splinter Cell and Ghost Recon games and remake them.
When people think of GHOST RECON, this is what they think of. Not whatever Ghost Recon Wildlands or Brakepoint was. Sadly, it feels like Ubisoft does the same thing Bethesda does, MAKE THE SAME GAME WITH DIFFERENT SKINS!
I'm ngl I was pissed recently when I bought GRAW 1 + 2 on PC only to find out it was nothing like the GRAW from the console back in the day. The console experience on these titles were so much better imho
0:20 I think for me this just highlights the incompetence of Ubisoft way back in 2000s. They are literally developing two version of the game for two platforms that cost a lot of manpower and resources. This is incompetence.
Well, it's kinda commendable they apparently adapted the game to the various systems it was released on. Maybe other devs or the Ubisoft of today could take notes. But just the same I wouldn't necessarily underestimate the people who might complain about getting a totally different - potentially better or worse - game depending on the platform they choose to buy it for.
I would use the guided rocket all the time during the whole campaign good thing for resupply always pinged the targets with the uav then used the rocket launcher as a mortar and seeing how far could it reach out and touch somebody good times😂
Nostalgia maxed !!! Played on Xbox360 and was enamored at the campaign. Shame they abandoned this gameplay design like you said . And of course old school r6 Vegas
I would love it that in the next Ghost Recon title, they let us choose more advanced ways of commanding your AI companions, I want to select individual teammembers, and not the entire group to go fuck all into the field, like a headless chicken. I miss the strategic part of these games allot.
You should go and play through the Brothers in Arms games. The original games from the ps2/xbox generation can be a bit punishing, but the squad combat is probably the best even though it's so simple.
correction ps2 and original xbox version was first person xbox 360 3rd person ps3 3rd person, so two systems had completely different experience then us who was on ps2 xbox and pc.
They were fun but the Rainbow Six Vegas games weren't as tactical and fun as the previous ones. And I will always consider the very first Ghost Recon game as the best one in the franchise.
@BigFryTV, would you consider going back and showing off Ghost Recon 2, if you can find it or have it still. That was the funnest MP experience I think I played on Ghost Recon tbh. It was on par with Socom IMO.
Ubisoft gave gone down too far in chasing trends and assassin creeds games instead of bringing back games we enjoyed like splinter cell and the original ghost recon or even the hawx games
Conflict: Denied Ops sucks on the actual PS3 system. I can't believe they got away with selling that. Play it on the RPCS3 emulator. It will totally blow your mind! Emulation does fix games. It even plays smooth in 8K. i9 . 4090.
I feel like both Graw titles were better tactical games than Future Soldier. Not to mention that Wildlands/Breakpoint were ghost recon games with a far cry skin to it.
To me Ubisoft was at its peak before that. The 360/PS3 generation is when they started watered things down and casualize gameplays. The Rainbow Six Vegas weren't as tactical and fun as the previous ones. And even if I like GR Future Solider I think it's not better better than the very first game.
Absolute classic game right here! Have you ever played GRAW 2? Let me know down below! 👇👇👇

This is incompetence.
we still play the pc version in coop in this year its pretty difficult but alot of fun
Oh man I remember all the fun I had in GRFS
Well, it's kinda commendable they apparently adapted the game to the various systems it was released on. Maybe other devs or the Ubisoft of today could take notes. But just the same I wouldn't necessarily underestimate the people who might complain about getting a totally different - potentially better or worse - game depending on the platform they choose to buy it for.
With nowhere to buy this digitally I lucked out finding an amazon listing for graw 1 and 2 for 5 euros only
Let’s not forget the masterpiece GR Future Soldier
Graw 2 was amazing! So many hours spent in that game.
God we had the Prince of Persia Trilogy, Brother in Arms, Splinter cell and Driver. Its like you said wth happen to Ubisoft.
Ghost Recon Future Soldier is still my all time favorite Ubisoft game. For me, there's no match for that game. It's just perfect.
I would use the guided rocket all the time during the whole campaign good thing for resupply always pinged the targets with the uav then used the rocket launcher as a mortar and seeing how far could it reach out and touch somebody good times😂
i would sit in the menu letting the menu theme play
Nostalgia maxed !!! Played on Xbox360 and was enamored at the campaign. Shame they abandoned this gameplay design like you said . And of course old school r6 Vegas
Best times were clan matches in GRAW and Island Thunder
GRFS was also legit I loved that game and it gave me socom vibes
I am currently replaying the entire splinter cell, franchise I loved advanced war fighter 1 and 2 man I miss old Ubisoft
I would love it that in the next Ghost Recon title, they let us choose more advanced ways of commanding your AI companions, I want to select individual teammembers, and not the entire group to go fuck all into the field, like a headless chicken.
I miss the strategic part of these games allot.
battlefield 2 was crazy different too
You should go and play through the Brothers in Arms games. The original games from the ps2/xbox generation can be a bit punishing, but the squad combat is probably the best even though it's so simple.
correction ps2 and original xbox version was first person xbox 360 3rd person ps3 3rd person,
so two systems had completely different experience then us who was on ps2 xbox and pc.
Ghost Recon Future Soldier to this day is one of the best third person shooters ever made.
ubisoft is done. they'll never get back to what they were or anywhere close. they just keep dropping flop after flop.
I miss GRAW. What a blast.
GRAW/GRAW2 and Rainbow 6 vegas/vegas2 were the best of the games and still are
Current ones are trash
They were fun but the Rainbow Six Vegas games weren't as tactical and fun as the previous ones. And I will always consider the very first Ghost Recon game as the best one in the franchise.
Please revisit GRFS, game of my childhood and probably would consume all of my free time if they dropped a remaster or something
Oh god. Loved this game as a teen.
@BigFryTV, would you consider going back and showing off Ghost Recon 2, if you can find it or have it still. That was the funnest MP experience I think I played on Ghost Recon tbh. It was on par with Socom IMO.
This game was so much more faithful to the Tom Clancy brand and name than anything they put out nowadays. The political intrigue to black ops teams.
Ubisoft gave gone down too far in chasing trends and assassin creeds games instead of bringing back games we enjoyed like splinter cell and the original ghost recon or even the hawx games
What do I need to download to play this classic?
wow i love all the old GRAW
always wanted to play those warfighters and experience the console versions!
Conflict: Denied Ops sucks on the actual PS3 system. I can't believe they got away with selling that.
Play it on the RPCS3 emulator. It will totally blow your mind! Emulation does fix games. It even plays smooth in 8K. i9 . 4090.
I destroyed at this game back in the day. I was top 8 in the world for a brief period. This was my jam
I feel like both Graw titles were better tactical games than Future Soldier. Not to mention that Wildlands/Breakpoint were ghost recon games with a far cry skin to it.
The PS3 is one of the most difficult platforms to emulate, so this is kinda special.
These games, Future Soldier and Rainbow Six Vegas 1 & 2. Ubisoft was at its peak.
To me Ubisoft was at its peak before that. The 360/PS3 generation is when they started watered things down and casualize gameplays. The Rainbow Six Vegas weren't as tactical and fun as the previous ones. And even if I like GR Future Solider I think it's not better better than the very first game.
@ldyb1712 I agree
Future soldier was my favorite
lol Do they still have that intro!? I haven’t launched a Ubisoft title in years😂
They do not unfortunately.
@@QuaversYTWish they'd bring it back.. music sounded kind of calming
