Yes that was inexcusable the way he acted. What he did was selfish on account that he wouldn't even make an attempt to talk with Jennifer's parents or bury the hatchet. A marriage is supposed to be about bringing people together, not splitting them apart.

Unless they sign the birth certificate at the hospital the man doesn't have any parental rights to a child. If the child is given the father's last name when filing out school paperwork, official documents like a passport, health insurance, assistance paperwork or doctor's paperwork they will need extra signatures or paperwork to prove the mother is the actual mother due to last names not matching to make sure that the child is hers. If there last names match it doesn't matter if the father is around or not because there last names match.

The difference here is that she is 16. We don't know the full story before what we see in the clip. You can clearly see the hurt in the dad's eyes. I feel bad on all ends. I was a teen mother and i remember how difficult it was trying to be a young mom and make a relationship with his father work. All this drama is the reason why children should not be having children. While im so glad she chose life for her babies like i did, their brains are just not wired to parent and take on grown decisions this young and while im not excusing joshuas behavior, jennifers parents made it extremely difficult for both of them and it sounds like he couldnt handle the pressure which resulted in how "children" react. I understand at the same time where her parents are coming from as its an extremely stressful situation for them to have to provide for jennifer and the twins. I just feel for all involved and hope that things were made right for the sake of the children.

The parents made a bad situation worse. They didn’t emotionally support their daughter, they tried to control her. Often/ALL THE TINE her parents blamed him for the situation their daughter was in (pregnant), well it takes two and they as parents didn’t bother educating her about birth control. If unmarried, the child/children should carry the mom’s last name. If you end up marrying the guy, you can go to the courthouse & change the child’s name. If you decide to give your child the father’s name without any plans of marriage & then break up with your boyfriend it’s confusing for the child as to why his/her name is different from mom’s & siblings. I have had a few friends who are sorry they gave their baby the dad’s last name, then dad disappeared from their lives.

I actually agree with josh on alot. The parents shouldn’t have let all of those people come in the day she came home. Those babies are brand new and pre term. So many germs. And have some respect for the parents who just want to rest and bond with their babies
I know this is an old episode, and maybe this is not important, but I felt so bad also when she went to her first day of school the sophomore year. She asked her mom to button her pants which were apparently too small for her belly. Poor girl having those tight jeans with that belly. Who knows if maybe she didn't want to wear any maternity pants. Not important, just something I noticed. But I'm still in the middle of watching this. So far I think that Josh was trying, but with so much drama and things going on, anyone can easily lose it. Especially kids their age. It's an overall stressor for everyone and unfortunate circumstances.

Unless they sign the birth certificate at the hospital the man doesn't have any parental rights to a child. If the child is given the father's last name when filing out school paperwork, official documents like a passport, health insurance, assistance paperwork or doctor's paperwork they will need extra signatures or paperwork to prove the mother is the actual mother due to last names not matching to make sure that the child is hers. If there last names match it doesn't matter if the father is around or not because there last names match.

Josh had no where to take Jennifer and nothing to offer her so he should have played nice with the parents. His family didn’t offer to take them in so there was no other choice.

It's sad that her father is so in his feelings that when his babygirl asked if he would come to baby shower that neither parents went and when her dad told her no and that it would not be a joyous occasion you could see the hurt in her eyes...all I know is that when my 6 year old daughter grows up and wants to have a baby I'll always be there with her every step of the way 🤷♀️

The difference here is that she is 16. We don't know the full story before what we see in the clip. You can clearly see the hurt in the dad's eyes. How do you celebrate a baby shower for a 16-year-old girl, nevermind do so in the company of the guy who not only got her pregnant, but has zero respect for them, and is constantly asking the mother of his children to choose between him and the parents? You can't. I certainly wouldn't. It's not so simple to put personal feelings to the side in a situation like this.

I feel bad on all ends. I was a teen mother and i remember how difficult it was trying to be a young mom and make a relationship with his father work. All this drama is the reason why children should not be having children. While im so glad she chose life for her babies like i did, their brains are just not wired to parent and take on grown decisions this young and while im not excusing joshuas behavior, jennifers parents made it extremely difficult for both of them and it sounds like he couldnt handle the pressure which resulted in how "children" react. I understand at the same time where her parents are coming from as its an extremely stressful situation for them to have to provide for jennifer and the twins. I just feel for all involved and hope that things were made right for the sake of the children.

The parents made a bad situation worse. They didn’t emotionally support their daughter, they tried to control her. The father of the children’s breakdown was wrong, yet it was building up because of the stress and disrespect her parents but on him. Often/ALL THE TINE her parents blamed him for the situation their daughter was in (pregnant), well it takes two and they as parents didn’t bother educating her about birth control. Absolutely awful parenting by her parents.

If unmarried, the child/children should carry the mom’s last name. If you end up marrying the guy, you can go to the courthouse & change the child’s name. If you decide to give your child the father’s name without any plans of marriage & then break up with your boyfriend it’s confusing for the child as to why his/her name is different from mom’s & siblings. I have had a few friends who are sorry they gave their baby the dad’s last name, then dad disappeared from their lives.

I know this is an old episode, and maybe this is not important, but I felt so bad also when she went to her first day of school the sophomore year. She asked her mom to button her pants which were apparently too small for her belly. Poor girl having those tight jeans with that belly. Who knows if maybe she didn't want to wear any maternity pants. Not important, just something I noticed. But I'm still in the middle of watching this. So far I think that Josh was trying, but with so much drama and things going on, anyone can easily lose it. Especially kids their age. It's an overall stressor for everyone and unfortunate circumstances.
