Who's ready for some pizza?! ;) I've been eating this pizza for the last couple of weeks (I'm sure you saw it on Instagram - ha!) and I'm now ready to whip up another batch. Give me all your topping ideas below...I can't wait to hear what combinations you'd make. xo - Lisa

Lisa, how about a Chicago style deep dish approach? Of course with sausage, cheese on the bottom and marinara sauce on top. Is that possible?

    • @jessicaausborn
      @jessicaausborn 4 ปีที่แล้ว

Pizza tonno is one of my favorite flavors. Marinara, tuna, onions (optional) and mozzarella. I also like to add some capers, olives or chili flakes sometimes and usually finish with a little bit of lemon juice after it’s baked.

After baking pizza, place pizza in frying pan to crisp the bottom of crust.

A regular blender is also sufficient for ricing the cauliflower. Just pulse small amounts for a couple of seconds.

  • @sarmisxx

Great recipe, thank you! Another way to eliminate the moisture from the cauliflower is to thinly spread the riced cauliflower on a baking sheet and bake it at 400 degrees F convection (425 degrees F regular bake) for 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown, then mix it with a fork and bake for another 10 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown. This will eliminate the need to microwave and squeeze the water out of the riced cauliflower and will give the pizza crust a roasted cauliflower flavor. I topped it with prosciutto, asiago cheese and arugula.

Gluten is harmful to everyone, not extreamly as long as you are healthy, but even without any symptoms, eating a little less of it realy does something for your wellbeeing ^^ Similar to the sun, no matter if hardly ever get a sunburn or burn up like a vampire, your skin is demaged, just in a totaly different intensety. As long as your healthy nothing to be paranoid of, but a little less where it is not needed realy does no harm ^^

Just a little tip from a Neapolitan. Marinara sauce doesn't go with Margherita. Marinara pizza is made with tomato sauce, garlic (olive) oil, oregano, salt and pepper. Margherita sauce is a classical italian sugo: tomato sauce, garlic -or onion-, basil, olive oil, salt and pepper. Marinara pizza doesn't have cheese on top, margherita does.

Great receipe! I made both the pizzas and absolutely loved them both! Unfortunetely I did not have parchment paper and I made the unfortunte decision to use foil instead without any greese. As expected the bottom did stick to the foil so I was not able to make pretty pizza slices but instead had to scrape the pizza off the foil, not ideal but it still tasted delicious :) Thank you for this great receipe and video!

If nothing else, I’m glad you showed the food processor… That was given to me from someone whose mom had died approximately 20 years before and it had just been sitting in a box! I’ve had it around three years and certainly have not explored that much. I have definitely only used one blade. When I saw that you were able to push the cauliflower down, I think I said, “Oh, that’s what that’s for?” 😝🤣 I made a very close version of your pizza from Chef Bucks channel. I’m glad of his version, he cooks the cauliflower in a skillet to eliminate the water. I have carpal tunnel in both wrists and tendinitis in both thumbs, it will be entirely too tough for me to squeeze out water like that!!! 😬 As for the next time, I won’t be using a cheese grater that’s for sure, I will use my food processor. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🧡

You have to be careful with the store bought/restaurant options especially if you're keto, type 2 diabetic or trying to go low carb. They usually add other stuff like corn starch, etc. The homemade option has none of that only thing you really have to be concerned with is the sauce used. Crust is perfection!

I made it but I combined two three videos in one so basically, after grating/processing the cauli I wrung it in a cheese cloth and then later I sautéed it on a low heat pan until all water evaporated, it worked like a charm for my pizza. Not cooking it not roasting it, continously stirring till all trace of moisture us gone.

This is great, but I want to add some suggestions to change it up a little. This works really well with zucchini as well. I usually use raw grated zucchini that I salted slightly and then squeezed to get it somewhat dry. Then I add some oat flour and cheese. The oat flour helps to bind and makes a bit more like a dough. Then prebake and use exactly as shown here. helps to use up all the zucchini in the summer. In the winter, I tend to use cauliflower as well.

I make Keto Pan Pizza and every step is done in the pan itself. Heating frozen riced cauliflower low and slow, without a lid, helps most of the moisture evaporate. I let it cool, then sprinkle in Italian seasoning, to beaten eggs, and 1 c. shredded mozzarella.
After pressing mixture into pan, I add "no added sugar" sauce and top with shredded mozzarella and whatever.

I've been using my burr juicer instead of the food processor. I still have to strain some with a cheese cloth but a lot easier. Plus I use the juice to make complimentary beverages for the pizza.

I made this and i would eat the crust on its own while watching tv 🥺. But what i did was used almost 10 cups of cauliflower rice, one cup of shredded cheese, 3 eggs instead of 2, 10 gr baking powder, around 100 grams (or less) of buckwheat flour just because i didn't have much force to squeeze all the liquid so i thought it would absorb some of it. Especially buckwheat flour in particular always sucks a lot of liquid. Of course i used oregano, salt, pepper, smoked paprika and a pinch of turmeric for color
What can I say, it's amazing. Next time I'll try using just 2 eggs like it would be recommended for that amount of cauliflower. I'm not sure if the baking powder is what did the magic but it's extremely soft and airy.
Also i thought maybe i could try using one of these tofu presses for the squeezing liquid part. I don't have one yet but if i could squeeze a lot of liquid maybe i can skip the little amount of buckwheat flour.
Amazing base recipe anyways ! And the techniques is what made the difference

If you set those expectations that is what you will get. You can have a perfectly solid and firm base if you don’t eat it straight from the oven.
First your attachments are poor if you get globs and gunk.the ricer may work, I’ve never needed it.
If you take the moisture out before cooking (but don’t cook it), make the base thin, brown it, spin it over to put the topping on the less cooked side and most importantly put the pizza on a wire rack straight out of the oven so it doesn’t sweat back into the base.
Hope this helps because my cauliflower pizza is crazy good & no less crisp than store bought.

made this for the first time today. not super thrilled about the taste, but the texture is spot on. best texture keto bread product i've found so far. vastly superior to fathead. hoping the taste just requires a little tweaking (maybe more Italian seasoning and cheese, or a different, stronger cheese than mozzarella)
also: try a tortilla press for getting the water out
