I believe Hisoka counters Benolenov because Benolenov can only create the planet attacks through the use of his air holes. Bungee gum would likely be able to cover the holes and reduce/prevent air flow considering it has the properties of both rubber and cu- I mean gum

It may have been Hisoka who killed the people who's skills are no longer in Chrollo's book. The easiest way to beat him would be to remove all of the skills he had access to, and you'd think Hisoka has some knowledge of what skills he has. Not all of them, but some.

Chrollos low key slipping as a leader. Back in York New he ordered the Troupe to go out in pairs to search for Kuropika, because he was dangerous. Now hes letting members go off on their own, and given the conditions if they want to team up with him.
true but if Machi wants to be an agry Tsundere and thinks she has better chances on her own, than Chrollo doesn't care. He is the leader but he probably also doesn't want to force them. Somebody who wants to play solo isn't gonna be a cooperative team player when forced into a team.
I've definitely felt this way and I feel it's intentional (as in Togashi wants it this way not just us speculating as fans). Hisoka has gotten under Chrollo's skin and now he's reacting emotionally instead of methodically. Machi is doing similarly. When you're emotionally driven you can make mistakes that lead to undesirable outcomes. Chrollo planned his initial fight with Hisoka meticulously with a cool head but this encounter will be spontaneous and he's not level headed.
Hisoka did a lot od damages to the troupe he murk two troupe memmber in the process to set off an angry chrollo. Hisoka figure out the only to beat chrollo is to rid the troupe member so chrollo wont have access to thier hastu ablity. But now chrollo look like wants to go for the kill on hisoka and chrollo look very sinster in dark contient on the black whale ship.

I'm thinking Hisoka and Kurapika will team up again to eliminate the Phantom Troupe. They did team up before for information so I think it's a possible theory worth exploring. I also think it's inevitable by this point that Kurapika will learn the Troupe is there.

I actually believe Hisoka was actively hunting down the nen users who Chrollo has stolen skills from, or at least the ones he is aware of. Removing them is essentially a indirect attack on Chrollo, and in this case killing the awareness of the future would allow him to move to his own beat as nothing is yet determined or forewarned.
This could work against hisoka tho due to the power of post mortem nen

I doubt bungee gum could be cut by a sword simply enhanced with Nen and we have subtle hints of that too.
Hisoka has the Elmer of surprise due to texture surprise but so does Chrollo with Transfer Student, a big threat to Kurapika as if Kurapika uses Chain Jail on a Chrollo lookalike, Kurapika will die.

Hisoka might have posed as a bodyguard, In the chapter(370), Kurapika was teaching nen and there's a bodyguard who has a heart symbol on his dialogue. For some reason I only remember seeing this with Hisoka's dialogues in the entire manga and it clicked for me, I might be wrong but I think that's him.

It is entirely possible that this was Togashi's way of telling us she was, but Kurapika is a crafty boy, and crafty boys might find other ways to remove an ability from Chrollo's book.
More to the point: what if a component of the Skill Hunter Hatsu is to "mark" a victim with nen - in other words, the victim of a skill theft is inflicted with a curse that enables Chrollo to use their ability.
If said curse is required for skill hunter to work, then all Kurapika needed to do was find a Nen exorcist to restore Neon's fortune telling and truly cement his influence over the nostrade family!

I'm just now thinking, they've all seen Hisoka's general arua before and while using a nen strong enough to convincingly change into someone else might affect how your arua is out put, the way nen and arua have been described makes it seem like, the feel and visuals of someone's arua (especially potent arua) are distinct sooooo wouldn't they at least feel a similar presence around Illumi?

Neon didn't kill herself or any other mafia boss. I thought the implication was obvious. Hisoka killed Neon, just like he killed Shalnark and Kortopi. Getting Neon's intelligence is easy with Hunter card. Her death is imperative since he openly declared war via Machi.
My deeper guess is that if Hisoka killed Neon in a reversable way like choking and then brought her back to life with cpr. Then, Neon's power would come back to herself, and Hisoka could use her power to predict the future.

Edit: Also, Hisoka secretly loves Machi, sexually, it's implied multiple times. He invited her to a date twice already. He loves her rope power and her cruel character and she benefited him several times. I think that's why Togashi decided to not kill Machi by Hisoka.

I think Togashi said in an interview that Hisoka did want to kill Machi. He was going to start with her. But Togashi said he didn't do it because of plot reasons as there needed to be someone who had to send the message of war to the Phantom Troupe. Now that that's done, Machi's lifespan looks quite short to me.

I fully expect a twist and Neon is alive. There is a lot we don't know about stealing/borrowing Nen. I think Illumi can go to tier 3 because he is a Hunter. Other than the Zodiacs and Royal Family, and other very high government officials I don't think anybody can curtail where he goes on the ship.
I just hope feitan survives or atleast goes down with a good fight, i kinda dislike hisoka in a way because when he fights you almost know for certain he’s going to kill his opponent (if the opponent isn’t really a main character)

I've forgotten how it was presented in the manga but neon could've gotten her ability back from chrollo through a nen exorcist. when kurapika was talking to neon's father after her ability disappeared he said he would handle it, which could've meant that he would get an exorcist to get her ability back. or she's just dead idk

Bonolonov absolutely is hard countered by Hisoka, Jupiter is a strong ability but it takes time and aura to make happen, Hisoka will not let him use it. Hisoka also can plug his ears with bungee gum or like, normal ear plugs, so he'll be immune to Bonolonov's body flute thing completely. Metamorphosis is like his only shot, and by his own admission he doesn't feel like he'd be able to use it well enough to kill Hisoka on his own

Is it possible that Neon was killed by Hisoka as a means of weakening Chrollo? Hisoka was aware of the ability since he had his own fortune read, and it probably wouldn't be hard for him to track down the fortune teller given her fame/his connections. Plus, if Chrollo was able to read the future, then that would make it a lot harder for Hisoka to get to him and the other spiders.

I have heard that theory multiple times that hisoka is illumi. There are a lot of loopholes for that theory but people still think it is possible. It is also the most disrespectful theory out there because it makes chrollo and the spiders so stupid that they got tricked 2 times. It is also out of character for hisoka to do that kind of trick. He is smart and he likes to fight but he isnt the kind of guy who does this kind of strategy

Maybe an unpopular opinion but I don’t think Neon is dead? Kurapika is the head of her family now and I just can’t imagine him letting her die. With that being said, there are a number of ways he could have recovered her nen ability, including using his own abilities. Idk, it probably won’t matter in the long run, but just something to think about.

No no. Let's think about this. Shizuku and Bonolenov's abilities both involve succ and/or blow, and they use specific holes to accomplish these. Therefore, all Hisoka has to do to defeat them is plug the holes with Bungee Gum. There's not much they can do about that.

What Gon did was like a pact with his nen, it wasn't the same as Neferpitou, Gon asked his nen to get all the power he could potentially get in his life in exchange for never using nen anymore, is a pact like the one Kurapika did to kill the spiders, also with a high price to pay, Neferpitou was purely post mortem nen, her head was cut off, she was dead, Hisoka died but after that his bungee gum fueled with post mortem nen bring him back to life, the effects of post mortem nen are permanent in the world, so as the panel of his resurrection clearly mentioned nen after death, and the fact that his abilities seem to receive boost, he is indeed more powerful than ever, he took a gamble that pay off cause his cause of death was suffocation, and his bungee gum could perform a cpr, if the cause would be other he would have die

@@anonlvl1957 I have faith in tagashi, no one has mastered the art of not fighting to the point where every fight becomes more meaningful in comparison.
I suspect we will get at least two meaningful fights and they will be more meaningful just because like you say they'll just be finding dead bodies of the phantom troop which speaks more to how dangerous hisoka is when they just find dead bodies that he's so effective that he kills them without anyone else noticing and leaves a body to where they can find it and antagonize them further
I honestly don't think Kurapika is gonna have many battles with the troupe. 4th prince is Kurapikas main enemy since he actually has the rest of the eyes. He may fight 1 or 2 but I think most of them are dying by hisoka

As much as kurapika vs 4th prince will be cool mostly because he has his beasts to do the fighting for him he doesn't even have to fight and he has a lot of resources at his disposal there's a good chance he might not even fight.
If hisky can deal with the PT, that would definitely be good but I don't know maybe it's just a long shot dream to see Chrollo vs Kurapika

I wanna see Kurapika take out his unyielding wrath after seeing pairos head on a peeing troupe member , maybe that troupe member being nobunaga , and melody walks in and goes into a major panic and crying fit after seeing the carnage and feeling Kurapikas heartbeat and passes out but will be fine . Then again … the tsuerrdnich meeting should happen first probably .
