Seemed pretty easy to follow in the video. Sun and Moon put together form a great explosion. The Book contains abilities of others, stolen or given. Cell phone atenas control people. Stamp makes copies, which you can control. Hisoka is OP, that only needs his one ability to make him the best serial killer. Joker made manifest, don't mess with the clown.

This fight highlights the importance of planning everything ahead vs planning as you go, Hisoka was trying to figure things out as he fought Chrollo who was dodging Hisoka for 2-3 months while planning everything, like Sun Tzu said - Victorious warriors win first and then go to war while defeated warriors go to war first and then seek to win

Hisoka has removed all of his morals off the table as of now. The way he killed Korutopi and Shalnark shows he is absolutely ruthless when he isn't trying tk have fun during the battles. His 'toys' are now targets.

Aside from his obvious creep factor, hes one of my favorite characters, this fight really showed how much of an intelligent brawler powerhouse he really is
For Chrollo to actually plan ahead before fighting Hisoka, speaks for itself of how strong Hisoka really is. And a Hisoka on the hunt is an even more terrifyingly one.

Which means Chrollo would never and could never beat Hisoka on a 1v1 fight at all 😂.
You smokin dick. Chrollo used his prep time better than Bruce Wayne. He made sure that he KNEW Hisoka and his abilities and limitations and possible strategies before he fought him. Even though Hisoka resurrected himself with Bungee Gum, Chrollo killed him and changed his whole persona in the process. You can say that NOW Chrollo don't want smoke with Hisoka.

I love the absolute gross disregard for human life in this fight by both character's, it may be the single best display of savagery I've see in anime which doesn't feel forced
Just to know Chrollo could've used Black voice on himself to give him a crazy boost in fighting, but sideeffect is he wouldn't remember anything that he would do also Hisoka's did not use a new ability to bring himself back he just commanded his Bungee gum to expand and contract his heart after his death
Pretty risky to engage with Hisoka in close combat for too long, since he could attach bungee gum. BG is the only reason why Chrollo or any character not an enhancer, emitter or transmuter would want to stay away from him.
Loved this breakdown, I especially enjoyed the fact that you played a few Yu Yu Hakusho soundtracks in this video and it fits perfectly. Well It is a fellow Togashi work akin to Hunter x Hunter but thank you for using them!
The one thing that had me ever confused in these fights. Is how Chrollo seriously had time for all of what he did. He had to first of all do a pass around with Gallery fake, with no other abilities active cause it needs both hands. THEN bookmark it and do a second pass with the Sun hand. THEN he could finally swap to the Stamp, do a third lap with that, and due to Sun+Moon and the bodies remaining, swap his bookmark to whatever else he wanted to use during that third lap. The timeframes just dont make much sense though for the midway point of the fight especially, since he had to keep up both the fake Chrollo and Antenna, that shoulda taken both slots for the entire time Hisoka was chasing the fake. There was very little downtime between Hisoka losing Chrollo, noticing the fake, the fake's bullshit being dispelled, and then a billion clones coming at Hisoka. Yet somehow 100s of puppets were made in those beyond miniscule timeframes, of which he had to do THREE passes for every group of puppets made. Sonic the hedgehog eat your fuckin heart out, Chrollo moves at the speed of light and is silent as a shadow.
There is actually an unpopular conspiracy theory in the fandom, that Machi, Shalnark and Kortopi were helping hiding in the crowd helping Chrollo. Some of their decently convincing arguments that I remember are-: 1) Hisoka didn't notice the fishing line, because it was Machi's nen thread hidden with In. 2) The bungee gum Hisoka placed on the ceiling suddenky vanished, because it was cut down by Machi's nen threads. 3) Chrollo could make the hundreds of puppets so quickly because he passed on the ability to Kortopi mid fight who made the puppets while he was going at Hisoka. 4) Shalnark sends commands through the phone, he doesn't require to call the puppets, yet Chrollo did that. Perhaps he was sending instructions to Shalnark on call to manipulate his puppet. But the fact that Chrollo himself demonstrated using those abilities, and how Shal didn't have his phone puts this theory to rest, but it's still quite interesting. At least the Kortopi one would explain his speed.

Him demonstrating the abilities at the start wouldn't effect this cause he coulda just given them back to his Spiders after he first lost Hisoka in the crowd. But I'd call Chrollo talking about giving Shalnark his ability back post fight a silver bullet against it sadly. No reason for him to talk like that if Shal had his ability the whole time. Even though it makes NO sense just how different the ability was when Chrollo was using it compared to Shal using it? Like dang I didn't even realize that til reading your post, Chrollo uses Shal's ability entirely differently.
Chrollo is just that guy I guess. It's also possible that he just had another ability in his book that allowed him to create copies faster, like maybe a hatsu that allows the user to replicate his limbs on other surfaces or something. This fight didn't include Chrollo's internal monolgue so we can't say what the other couple hundred pages in his book contain.

Hisoka the Grim Creeper is genuinely insane. I think this is the only time I've seen him actually lose, and he was doing it in Chrollo's most ideal environment, while pushing Chrollo to the limit of his power. And even then, Hisoka didn't stay dead!
We are not exactly sure if Chrollo was pushed to his limit. He definitely used a lot of abilities, but we have no idea if that was his limit. I think Hisoka only managed to get one hit, and it turned out Chrollo wasn't even that hurt from that attack, he was just pretending so that he could plant the bomb.
I think Chrollo still has more tricks up his sleeve, considering he decided to hunt Hisoka on the whale ship on his own without help, even thought Hisoka is a lot stronger now.

Chrollo is the new record holder for "breaking the 10 seconds out of the ring rule". When Hisoka realized how Chrollo tricked him, if he remembered how Gon tricked him with the stone flip, Hisoka could have attached bungee gum to the stone tiles with his feet and other hand and sent them flying into the puppets and stands. He could have used a piece of stone instead of a puppets head. That'd have changed the environment from what Chrollo meticulously put into place in an instant with stone tiles and debris and puppets flying around. There would be so many options with bungee gum in an environment like that. Definitely not complaining, had to watch it twice to get everything.
If we ever get to the rematch (doubt it at this point), I hope it's just a straight up fight. Hisoka is obviously gonna trap Chrollo like what happened to him, but I want no tricks.
@@jon_ovo3653 If you are talking about Meruem is a completely different case, also a clear intention of Togashi was killing The Phantom Troupe and Kurapika he even said it on an interview on 2013, he needs Hisoka cause he is the best tool for him to bring chaos, he loves that factor on his stories and other ones, he is very fond of Hisoka, also of Chrollo but this flashback of the Troupe can be seen as a set up to have a full closure to Kurapika and the Troupe story, and I'm not saying this as a Hisoka fan, my favorite is Chrollo by the way, in fact he said that one of Hisoka's new perspectives is the one of taking cards from Chrollo via taking out the people that he stole his abilities, he wants to give us a new Hisoka right now, so we can't even predict the possible outcome
Chrollo is terrifying. He can literally pre-plan battles with people and set up an inventory of abilities to counter them. Also, he's a physical powerhouse even without his nen ability. We have seen some pretty OP nen abilities in HxH, that are terrifying on their own, he can literally combine and use multiple nen abilities at once. Think about how ridiculous that is. He's probably the most terrifying character in the series for me and he's honestly underrated. People know he's strong but I feel like they haven't taken a step back and realized how cracked he really is.
Dude he's not a physical powerhouse. If he were he wouldn't have ran for a year to gather abilities for a intricate plan to beat Hisoka, who is much closer to enhancer. Definitely a genius but this is more of a flex for Hisoka. It took all that to kill one man. Control of location and time with the ability to gain abilities over a year. And all Hisoka had was Rubber Love so it's like Chrollo had and extra long camp while Hisoka just was told a fight date not to far ahead of time.

He was simply annoyed and wanted to end Hisoka's pursuit because he had other goals, he's a thief, he doesn't crave 1v1's like Hisoka does. The nature of his ability essentially means with the right setup he can defeat literally anyone, it's not so much him running away as it is taking advantage of his ability. Who's to say he won't advance even further, in a short amount of time he made it possible to use his hands without his book even out. So I like his odds against anyone besides master enhancers in a physical fight.

Chrollo is a goat, but he didn't want the smoke my guy. He took a YEAR to prep for this fight. If he took hisokas fight right when hisoka proposed it with no prep, after the nen exorcism, he would have been killed low-mid diff.

They could have had a chance if they still have their abilities, especially Shalnark. Dude the have the most op hatsu every manipulator can have, one stab and you're done. I get that it's one of the most basic hatsu out there but it is also one of the best weapon for one on one combat.
You forget Hisoka is like a super saiyan, every fights he can only gets stronger, never weaker. That's why he wants to fight the strongest in the world, Chrollo was able to prepare ahead of time and won their fight but with Hisoka almost immortal like and just gotten stronger after death, already use his power up to dispatched two spiders so in the bigger picture Chrollo actually won the battle but losing the war at the moment.
It took Chrollo a full year of planning in order to defeat Hisoka. Chrollo needed to prep and gain new abilities in order to beat. If Chrollo went in there without a plan, Hisoka would have killed him.

Lol the crazy part is that Chrollo probably could’ve come up with a dozen other ability combos/strategies that would’ve killed Hisoka too. He probably thinks he did something by getting rid of Black Voice and Gallery Fake, but it probably doesn’t actually matter.

He fought at a distance because he had come up with a 100% victory plan. Why would he engage him if the copies can ensure his victory? He had no trouble attacking Hisoka when he saw openings just like in any fight.
Its honestly scary that Chrollo and Hisoka are evenly matched. Chrollo was able to outwit Hisoka which led to his victory (props to him). But Hisoka is really a separate kinda beast altogether and both of their abilities are amazing🔥

No. That's not how it works. You don't get a power boost cuz the original goal of his post mortem nen was fulfilled. It brought him back to life, THAT was the "power boost" his nen isn't "stronger". If he's no longer dead then it's not post mortem nen at that point.

He didn't originally have the ability to make a rubber nen prosthesis out of texture surprise so it's shown how much stronger his nen got after death and coming back to life. This is the same guy who used 1 ability and a knife for the Killua’s family and wasn’t going all out and that was implied by Zeno. Chrollo had to run from Hisoka to gather abilities and pick an arena to ensure his victory. Then on top of all of that the phantom troupe still interferes with the fight. Which means Chrollo would never and could never beat Hisoka on a 1v1 fight at all 😂.

As much as i love this fight, Chrollo failed to realize one thing: Bungee Gum has the properties of both rubber AND gum.

Pretty risky to engage with Hisoka in close combat for too long, since he could attach bungee gum. BG is the only reason why Chrollo or any character not an enhancer, emitter or transmuter would want to stay away from him.

The one thing that had me ever confused in these fights.
Is how Chrollo seriously had time for all of what he did.
He had to first of all do a pass around with Gallery fake, with no other abilities active cause it needs both hands.
THEN bookmark it and do a second pass with the Sun hand.
THEN he could finally swap to the Stamp, do a third lap with that, and due to Sun+Moon and the bodies remaining, swap his bookmark to whatever else he wanted to use during that third lap.
The timeframes just dont make much sense though for the midway point of the fight especially, since he had to keep up both the fake Chrollo and Antenna, that shoulda taken both slots for the entire time Hisoka was chasing the fake.
There was very little downtime between Hisoka losing Chrollo, noticing the fake, the fake's bullshit being dispelled, and then a billion clones coming at Hisoka.
Yet somehow 100s of puppets were made in those beyond miniscule timeframes, of which he had to do THREE passes for every group of puppets made.
Sonic the hedgehog eat your fuckin heart out, Chrollo moves at the speed of light and is silent as a shadow.

There is actually an unpopular conspiracy theory in the fandom, that Machi, Shalnark and Kortopi were helping hiding in the crowd helping Chrollo. Some of their decently convincing arguments that I remember are-:
1) Hisoka didn't notice the fishing line, because it was Machi's nen thread hidden with In.
2) The bungee gum Hisoka placed on the ceiling suddenky vanished, because it was cut down by Machi's nen threads.
3) Chrollo could make the hundreds of puppets so quickly because he passed on the ability to Kortopi mid fight who made the puppets while he was going at Hisoka.
4) Shalnark sends commands through the phone, he doesn't require to call the puppets, yet Chrollo did that. Perhaps he was sending instructions to Shalnark on call to manipulate his puppet.
But the fact that Chrollo himself demonstrated using those abilities, and how Shal didn't have his phone puts this theory to rest, but it's still quite interesting. At least the Kortopi one would explain his speed.

Him demonstrating the abilities at the start wouldn't effect this cause he coulda just given them back to his Spiders after he first lost Hisoka in the crowd.
But I'd call Chrollo talking about giving Shalnark his ability back post fight a silver bullet against it sadly. No reason for him to talk like that if Shal had his ability the whole time. Even though it makes NO sense just how different the ability was when Chrollo was using it compared to Shal using it? Like dang I didn't even realize that til reading your post, Chrollo uses Shal's ability entirely differently.
Chrollo is just that guy I guess. It's also possible that he just had another ability in his book that allowed him to create copies faster, like maybe a hatsu that allows the user to replicate his limbs on other surfaces or something. This fight didn't include Chrollo's internal monolgue so we can't say what the other couple hundred pages in his book contain.

Hisoka the Grim Creeper is genuinely insane. I think this is the only time I've seen him actually lose, and he was doing it in Chrollo's most ideal environment, while pushing Chrollo to the limit of his power. And even then, Hisoka didn't stay dead!
We are not exactly sure if Chrollo was pushed to his limit. He definitely used a lot of abilities, but we have no idea if that was his limit. I think Hisoka only managed to get one hit, and it turned out Chrollo wasn't even that hurt from that attack, he was just pretending so that he could plant the bomb.
I think Chrollo still has more tricks up his sleeve, considering he decided to hunt Hisoka on the whale ship on his own without help, even thought Hisoka is a lot stronger now.

When Hisoka realized how Chrollo tricked him, if he remembered how Gon tricked him with the stone flip, Hisoka could have attached bungee gum to the stone tiles with his feet and other hand and sent them flying into the puppets and stands. He could have used a piece of stone instead of a puppets head. That'd have changed the environment from what Chrollo meticulously put into place in an instant with stone tiles and debris and puppets flying around.
There would be so many options with bungee gum in an environment like that. Definitely not complaining, had to watch it twice to get everything.

Chrollo is terrifying. He can literally pre-plan battles with people and set up an inventory of abilities to counter them.
Also, he's a physical powerhouse even without his nen ability.
We have seen some pretty OP nen abilities in HxH, that are terrifying on their own, he can literally combine and use multiple nen abilities at once. Think about how ridiculous that is.
He's probably the most terrifying character in the series for me and he's honestly underrated. People know he's strong but I feel like they haven't taken a step back and realized how cracked he really is.

And all Hisoka had was Rubber Love so it's like Chrollo had and extra long camp while Hisoka just was told a fight date not to far ahead of time.

The nature of his ability essentially means with the right setup he can defeat literally anyone, it's not so much him running away as it is taking advantage of his ability.
Who's to say he won't advance even further, in a short amount of time he made it possible to use his hands without his book even out.
So I like his odds against anyone besides master enhancers in a physical fight.

They could have had a chance if they still have their abilities, especially Shalnark. Dude the have the most op hatsu every manipulator can have, one stab and you're done. I get that it's one of the most basic hatsu out there but it is also one of the best weapon for one on one combat.

You forget Hisoka is like a super saiyan, every fights he can only gets stronger, never weaker. That's why he wants to fight the strongest in the world, Chrollo was able to prepare ahead of time and won their fight but with Hisoka almost immortal like and just gotten stronger after death, already use his power up to dispatched two spiders so in the bigger picture Chrollo actually won the battle but losing the war at the moment.
It took Chrollo a full year of planning in order to defeat Hisoka. Chrollo needed to prep and gain new abilities in order to beat. If Chrollo went in there without a plan, Hisoka would have killed him.
