      If the alarm isn’t a few cm away from my face at full volume I wont hear it :( which sux bc I can just as easily turn it off which means I have to set two or three consecutive 5 min interval alarms, which Ive slept through as well 😭

      find a gym partner and get some preworkout! that's how i started my gym routine. i go 4 mornings a week now. having a partner is a huge motivator. preworkout just helps you get your max burn on.

    i actually don't drink coffee to wake myself, but because of the taste. i just looooove the smell, warmth and rich taste of a good coffee, it's like a treat to me to have 2 cups a day :D

    working out is not a problem for me, i do it 6 days a week, HIIT, strength training etc. the problem is my food! its not unhealthy food, but im southeast asian, and i eat noodles for lunch, rice for dinner, sometimes even for breakfast. i live off of carbs and even though i want to change my diet to low carb, i cant. i live with my family and i have to eat whatever they eat. any advice on how i can improve my diet despite that?

      Cook for yourself. Im southeast asian too and i know how hard it is to eat seperate food. But ever since my weight loss journey mom actually helped me a lot with meal prep. U might struggle to resist the temptation while everybody is eating but that's when u need to show your determination lol well i dont even go low carb or anything, just basically replace rice and bread with whole grain, cut down on salt and sugar that is.

      usually carbs are fine if you eat something else with it. eat more protein/veggies and a smaller portion of the carbs

    So simple and well put together, thanks for sharing! Personally, I drink water every morning, have green smoothies pretty much daily, exercise 5x a week. Where my struggle lies is with food. I'm learning to see food as fuel first rather than for pleasure.

    Here's the list if you need it:
    30. Drink water straight away in the morning
    29. If you don't like the flavour of water add a fruit inside (e.g. a lemon)
    28. Make smoothies/make fresh vegetable juice
    27. If you don't have time to make them freeze or refrigerate the fruits (basically meal prep)
    26. If you don't know where to keep your keys while working out, take the one you need and tie it to your shoe lace- double knot (that's kinda weird xD)
    25. If you feel sore after a workout, have a bath with some Epsom salts with it
    24. Make a cleaning routine (burns more calories)
    23. While taking a run , add in little exercises (e.g. step ups on a park bench)
    22. While makihg a protein shake, add the water before the protein powder so the powder doesn't get stuck at the bottom
    21. Meal prep.Meal prep.Meal prep.
    20. Add some spices to your meal to boost your metabolism.
    19. If you're doing steady state cardio/boring exercises do your homework or watch a video to keep you going.
    18. Track your macro/micro nutrients
    17. Cut back on caffeine
    16. Swap your pre workouts with a beta alanine
    15. Foam roll everyday :) (releases tension from muscles)
    14. Get out and active more often (no shiz sherlock lmao)
    13. Get more sunshine in your day (boosts your mood)
    12. If you're eating out check the menu beforehand
    11. Prepare healthy snacks to take with you
    10. Drive less, walk more
    9. Wait 10-15 minutes after a meal before you go in for seconds
    8. Take some time to relax
    7. If you want a dessert swap it out for a healthier option (e.g. banana pancakes- those are dope I swear)
    6. Having a trainer/a training plan
    5. When making a salad separate the wet ingredients from the dry Ingredients
    4. Static stretches are good for after workouts, dynamic stretches are good before workouts
    3. Make your own weight bag
    2. To reduce bloating stick to less processed foods
    1. Take a good night's rest (TURN YOUR PHONE OFF NOW!!) xD

    The cleaning routine is something I'm looking into creating right now. I let myself and my apartment go when I wasn't feeling well. I'll probably only be able to do a few of these tips, but it's a start. Love the idea to freeze ingredients for smoothies in portions too.

    Another tip ; I have an iPhone 6s which has Night Mode on it, which turns the screen to a warmer colour to help you sleep. Just in case you need to use your phone to be able to sleep, like me.

    I do the last tip, which is keeping the alarm clocks away. actually I have several alarm clocks which go off at 7 am then run all over the house so it's impossible to snooze, the only way to do so is to walk all the way to the food bowls and fill them up... Yes, you guessed it, my cats. 🙃
    btw, I've discovered your channel a couple of days ago & being someone who loves anything colorful I found myself drifting towards monochrome things, you are very influential & beautiful. Thanks for inspiring.

      Even so I believe they're not as nutritious as freshly cut. But you're right freezing does preserve a lot of the nutrients. Not all food is suitable for freezing though.

    Foam rolling does not release muscles nor anything else, the effect comes from a temporary change in the nervous system (neuromodulation) and just like stretching, it probably doesn't prevent DOMS, but what does is a good active warm up.

    I always drink plenty of water. While I've never been a coffee drinker, I have been getting into green tea lately. It has a lot of benefits but I'd like to cut back and opt for hot water instead. I also try my best to stay away from processed foods and get plenty of rest! Dimming the lights and avoiding technology at least an hour before sleeping really helps me.

    You could also help someone who builds a house, has an orchard, runs a farm, renovates their apartment. All this fitness stuff just mimics the effects of physical work.
    Kick vanity and invest your energy into something actually useful. WinWin.

    15. Get some sunshine!
    16. Restaurant, check menu beforehand
    17. Healthy snack
    18. Drive less walk more
    19. Wait 10-15 min before seconds
    20. Take time to relax
    21. Swap dessert with healthier option (Fruit popsicle)
    22. A training plan
    23.Salad, separate wet from dry
    24. Stretch after exercise or before
    25. Extra resistance wanted? Add some weight to your bag!
    26. Reduce bloating, eat more fresh fruits and veggies!
    27. Good Sleep and rest! No electronics 1-1hour 30min before bed.

    If you want to avoid soreness after working out, immediately eat something with protein (just a small snack), drink water, and spend about 15 minutes walking. We were taught to do this in sports med.

    is ducky your new pup? : ) xo & some tips- for smoothies, if you're adding in a banana, make sure that you pulsate blend the smoothie. blending consistently will aerate your smoothie and cause additional bloating. and for banana nice cream, i just freeze bananas and make it, then eat lol. i don't like to refreeze.

    I recommend listening to podcasts while working out its so entertaining that you literally forget that you are working out I recommend the podcast stuff you should know you can listen to it on Spotify or on the iheart radio app. Youll also learn interesting new things while working out
