    I have been using those Speedsofts. I bought some bright yellow ones. They have a nice spin comparable to some more expensive urethane balls. I have actually seen them hold green better than some of the more expensive urethane balls I have used. I have used them a lot this season and I gotta say Taylormade really got these right! I am a senior golfer. I find they go a long way feel nice off the clubs including the putter. I would indeed call them the King of the budget golf balls. I have to add though it plays like a more expensive ball instead of a budget one.

      Hi Joseph! Thank you for watching and for sharing your own longer term on course experiences! Sounds like it’s a great golf ball for you! Keep enjoying your golf! 👍🏼

    I actually got into the game a few months ago and picked it up. I’m 30. I currently play this ball along with the callaway super soft and Titleist tru feel. I love these balls.

      Hi Hunter! All of those balls you mentioned are perfect golf balls for someone in your position! I’ve tested them all and played most of them at some point in my journey! Great to hear that you’re newish to golf and I hope you continue to enjoy this great game as much as I do! All the best pal! 👍🏼

    The Ink ones are massively popular amongst the junior members at our club, mainly because of the colours. I have borrowed some from my daughter and I actually really enjoyed playing them.
    Great video again and good to understand why I seem to be popping them up around the green. ❤

      Thanks Ian! Yeah I think the coloured gold balls are a great way to make the game that bit more fun for Juniors whilst offering adults a way to express themselves too! We’ve certainly come a long way from white or yellow these last few years!
      I’ve tested it again more recently in a comparison vs Callaway Speedsoft, Srixon Soft Feel and Titleist TruFeel and it performed very similar to those balls - it’s a great value fun option! 👍🏼

    i used to play the tp5 , i was doing good with it , but wanted to try this new ball since it looked different . I can say i was really impressed , i had nice control of it in the short game. I will definitely will play this ball on casual golf games now.

      Hi frankymr2! Thanks for watching and sharing your own experiences! I filmed my review of the new TP5 and TP5x on the same day (video goes live tonight!) and I was impressed with the Speedsoft for the price difference! It's a really good ball at this price point! All the best!

    I have a driver swing speed of 100 and no trouble with natural spin. I have played tp5 for a while and wanted a ball at a lesser price point. I have always loved a softer feeling golf ball. I wanted to gain some iron yardage and this ball really delivers. I have noticed a small reduction in driver distance but finding more fairways is a nice trade-off. I’m impressed and glad to see your video comparison to a premium ball. Love to see a comparison to the Callaway Supersoft and Titleist AVX

      @weekendtourpro  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Brad! Thanks for sharing your own experiences with the Speedsoft! I think that 7-8mph more speed you've got over me just helps to resolve that one issue I had with iron spin for sure, so I'm not surprised you had no issues! I think the Callaway Supersoft direct comparison will be filmed shortly as lots are after it! Thanks for watching and your great comment! All the best!

    Thanks Luke. I’m a similar SS and HCP to you so I find your thoughts invaluable. It’s getting that balance between spin feel and distance for me. My favourite performing ball so far is the Wilson Triad but for some reason it’s a real mud magnet on course. Q star tour feels too soft and a bit jumpy. The AVX seems to be offering the sweet spot for compression and playing a course with small firm greens I’m nervous about playing g a non urethene ball 🤷‍♂️

      @weekendtourpro  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi FordK168! Sounds like you're doing some great experimenting at the moment! I hear you about preferring the Urethane cover - I've become quite used to that now and feel like I'd be giving something up! Always hard to switch from a premium Titleist ball too once you've had some success with it given their reputation etc.! If it's working for you and you're not losing them too much and can afford them then sounds like the AVX could be perfect! Thank you for watching and your great comment!

    On your ball tests could you possibly add a Four Hybrid into the mix for us midhandicappers please. Thanks for the reviews

    • @weekendtourpro
      @weekendtourpro  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Richard! I'd love to do this (in fact I'd love to do 2 irons as well) but the reason I don't do this is two fold: 1. Manufacturers normally focus their information on Drivers/Irons/Wedges so it's hard to talk about what the ball should do with hybrids and 2. I already think the videos are quite long and that turns some people off so I'm always striving to keep them under 20 mins which is often tough!
      What I would say is from experience of hitting my hybrid a lot on TrackMan with a variety of different golf balls is that I typically see a similar pattern to the iron part of the testing just with lower spin rates and higher distances. But if a golf ball launches well or has good spin with a 7 iron, it tends to do the same with my hybrid!
      I'm always looking to improve the videos Richard so if I can find ways to tighten them up, this is the first club I'll add in! Thanks for watching!

    Would love to see a head to head I am just starting back and deciding between the Taylormade ink and the Callaway supersoft/ chrome soft.
    I know my swing speed will be a lot slower now so starting with these first to see how I get on hopefully should be on a course in the next two weeks or so.

      Hi Thorgrimb2416! There’s definitely a lot of appetite for that video! So I’ll get it filmed ASAP! Enjoy getting back out on the golf course! Thanks for watching! 👍🏼

      Hi GolfAddict! I’ve reviewed the Tour Response on my channel before (right at the very start so it’s a different format and perhaps not as good but I plan to include it in more comparisons this year!). Haven’t got round to the new 2024 AVX yet but it’s on the list! I enjoyed the previous model! All the best! 👍🏼

    Wow I actually did something similar on the course with the speedsoft and TP5 and felt the same in terms of stopping and it makes me feel better that you have the numbers to back it up. So far the speedsoft has become my primary ball, although I am improving and expect to need a premium ball at some point soon, but every time I test other balls the speedsoft performs better for my golf game and my swing speed.

    • @weekendtourpro
      @weekendtourpro  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Randy! Thanks for watching and sharing your own experiences on the course with this ball vs. TP5! I hear what you are saying, I tend to play something in the price point between the two of them! I think that gives me a bit of the best of both worlds, at a price point that doesn't make me cry when I lose them! haha! Glad the video helped!

    Hi Luke, as you say, distance levelled out through the bag. For the price, seems like a good option to the other soft balls.

    • @weekendtourpro
      @weekendtourpro  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Absolutely! Lots of great balls at this price but still waiting for something to beat the Srixon Q Star/AD333! 👍🏼

    Good episode Luke. I'm sure this ball will grab some market share, especially among the Srixon and Callaway users who test it out.

    • @weekendtourpro
      @weekendtourpro  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Petro! I think you’re right and that’s certainly the intention. There will be a lot of TM fans who have felt there isn’t a golf ball for them at the price point they want to play - for this to keep up with the king of this price bracket (SuperSoft) should bode well for TM! Thanks for watching! 👍🏼

    • @weekendtourpro
      @weekendtourpro  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Ronnie! Thanks for the suggestion! We don’t have Maxfli golf balls in the UK readily available as a result they are incredibly expensive to buy as I’d have to important them and pay £60 for a dozen so I don’t think I’ll be able to get hold of the sleeve I need for the video any time soon sadly! If I can then I absolutely will review them! Thank you for watching the video! 👍🏼

  • @everyoneknowsadave3580
    @everyoneknowsadave3580 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I play it on fast greens … the soft putting feel is awesome… also it’s a very high flying golf ball so the lack of spin isn’t a disadvantage with approach shots …. Nice golf ball for a mid handicapper and a really great price ….

    • @weekendtourpro
      @weekendtourpro  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks for watching and sharing your experiences Dave! Glad to hear some real world usage stories! Definitely think that height makes up for spin in most part of the bags based on my testing so good to hear you’re seeing it through the bag! Brilliant! All the best! 👍🏼

  • @2AngelN6
    @2AngelN6 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Thanks once again Luke. I think as I get older and my driver swing now slipping below 90 these type of balls can offer a bit more pop off the irons and as a 11 HCP I often feel using trajectory over spin with the shorter clubs more reliable. In the head to head rather than the the Srixon I’d rather see the titleist tour soft. They’re claiming the 2024 proprietary blend cover is almost matching urethene. I’d be interested if you find any truth in their claim

    • @weekendtourpro
      @weekendtourpro  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi FordK168! Thank you for your continued support and watching the channel! I think you’re spot on! As swing speeds lower the pop and distance at the bottom of the bag, provided trajectory is there is beneficial.
      For my comparison video, which I’m filming tomorrow I’m taking the four most popular brands and their equivalent £25 soft ball - so Callaway Supersoft, TM Speedsoft, Srixon Soft Feel and Titleist TruFeel. As I want it to be an equal price point test.
      However I will try to test the Tour Soft vs some of these balls ASAP for you! 👍🏼

    • @2AngelN6
      @2AngelN6 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks Luke, your suggestion makes sense as although I could see the new improved 2024 Tour Soft at various places online around the £28 mark they seem to have settled in to their natural habitat around £32. I actually took a sleeve out yesterday and was really impressed with the distance and although I felt I gave up a tiny bit of bite on the green with wedges I found the spin adequate and really consistent. The feel is fantastic and I think it might be my gamer going forward. I know you loved the ERC soft so the head to head with those would be a real clash!

    • @weekendtourpro

      Hi Steve! I’ve tested the v2 model and get why so many people like it but it’s a little too spinny for me - ends up costing me distance! Keen to see how the v3 has developed though so will test that at some point! 👍🏼

    I hated it. Probably not so much a performance issue, but the ball was hard to find even in the fairway, and in the rough was all but impossible.

      @weekendtourpro  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Eric! Interesting you say that! They do an all white version without the colours! I actually had the same experience with the first colours of the Tour Response alignment ball and had to move to the all white version! 👍🏼
