Watching lud over the last few years go from a guy who bleaches his hair for a marbles game, to a guy who bleaches his hair for a marbles game and talks to TH-cam higher-up has been beautiful
According to Amanda of Swell Entertainment, who's been to four of these now, this was the worst one she's been to, they were just extremely disorganized and made many questionable decisions about the panel's and venue placement. She talked about the Hyatt too, for anyone that's interested in events or event planning, I'd highly recommend her videos.

I love these stories, I also think Ludwig has a lot of good points when it comes to streaming and TH-cam's priorities.

Haha pretty sure that’s just an excuse lol he has said many times he wants to do 5 years total and he could already retired and would also be willing to do so but he still has quite a few employees so I think he wants to make sure they are in a safe position before closing his company/channel.
He will probably still do some content here and there but pretty sure he prefers to work behind the scenes creates events with offbrand

Crazy to hear about how different vidcon and twitchcon are from security to panels to overall vibes
I was at both. Yeah as an attende for VidCon not very fun tbh. There is not that much to do interaction wise. There are way less booths at VidCon than Twitchcon. Over half of the booths are merch stores and another quarter are companies advertising products. You can’t find any creators except at their designated meet and greets. Other than Ludwig breaking the rules, I only found Steven He and a few others not really caring. I did not see a single gathering for people into different games, hobbies, or fandoms. Like VidCon could be done in a couple hours. Twitchcon there was so much going on, there was not enough time for everything. Another thing I found was that although VidCon was way more organized, it just felt really bland. Twitchcon was a chaotic mess of scandals and mismanagement, but that chaos came from how much cool stuff was going down. So yeah, unless VidCon has killer lineup next year. Twitchcon all the way.
@@MachtheMoonI mean based on Ludwig’s stories it’s pretty obvious that VidCon is more of a corporate convention for insiders like cons in any other industry. They just happen to make some events open to the public for some PR. Twitch con is a chaotic mess because it’s pretty clear Twitch corporate couldn’t give less of a shit about it. They just contractually obligate their top 1% to show up then outsource the actual running of the event. Thus people literally breaking their backs in it. Executives barely show up if at all and definitely don’t hold meetings with creators there to discuss the site.
Since signing with TH-cam I think Ludwig has been to more twitchcons than vidcons

I'm glad Ludwig is trying to get TH-cam to make it more incentivizing for people to stream here, because from the viewer side, I love it way more here. Also if TH-cam goes crazy on streaming, maybe Twitch finally feels some pressure and we get some actual competition going on
I'm always pleasantly surprised when Ludwig talks about content creation because he seems genuinely knowledgeable. This and his storytelling makes it very interesting.

Honestly if you did VidCon again do it as a moderator (like one of the main stage ones not the side room ones) so you don’t have to go anywhere, you can stash food and if a VC that you don’t want to talk to anymore comes up while you’re taking a break you can easily say “hey I have to go bye”. Also- when is TH-cam going to get smart and just hire you lol

Met Lud at Vidcon I waited and was first in his booth meet and greet line and then was so far back in his actual meet and greet. It was pretty epic

My biggest problem with TH-cam Live is if you dont already know and subscribe to a creator who streams on youtube like you, you cant find new creators. When i go to the live tab its FULL of lofi live streams and various news coverages. I cant find anyone doing just chatting or gaming and theres no way to filter it better so i end up jumping to Twitch when youre not streaming for other live content
We need to get the exact date and time Ludwig said “a baby is being born right now” and make sure that baby born at that moment gets proper compensation

I'm looking forward to the interview with Ludwig and Neil.
Some TH-cam changes that would be helpful are:
- quality/resolution controls on Shorts
(Right now, sometimes it automatically defaults to 144p, and it is too fuzzy to see what is going on.)
- vertical streams and longer videos
- controls to convert horizontal format videos to vertical videos and vertical videos to horizontal format videos.
- subscriber emojis usable on more channels
(E.g. Ludwig emojis usable on Ludwig VODs and Ludwin shorts as well.)
- Automatic VOD partitioning of long streams. (e.g. when Ludwig does a 24-hour steam every 8 hours, it will automatically save and upload without disrupting the stream.)
- Events Schedule tab, similar to a calander that creators can mark dates for special events or upcoming topics that subscribers can see when things will be on. Even better if you can export dates to your google calendar.)
- NSFW and Spoiler tags so messages can be hidden from people viewing the video for the for the first time or who do not wish to see censored comments.
-the ability to declare and site music and videos sourced from other TH-camrs so it doesn't get copy striked and the original creator gets the credit for it.

I appreciate that Ludwig just wants everything he's in to be the best it can be, even when that means he needs to play the heal or be a 2nd moderator or just take a step back. It makes sense that he's trying to build a business supporting other content creators.

hey ludwig I think down the road as you age I would want to see you teach more in your live streams or make more mogul mail type videos. Im 18 right now and I see you more as someone I learn from rather than just enjoy watching and I think you could retain your audience by telling more stories or teaching more lessons.

Don’t stress about aging and “going out” your audience ages with you and generally their tase for content changing as what you put out changes usually correlates pretty well. Thats how it is with most old channels im subbed to, like pewds for example. Its always up to you when you stop but as long as you keep throwin up videos some of us would still be there to watch em even 10 years from now im sure.
