This story really solidified my respect for Ludwig. To be able to admit you were scammed, talk about it openly so others won’t be scammed, and change the SCAMMER’s life for the better in the process, is a testament to his character. He sets a great example
He hasn’t changed the scammer’s life! That’s a fallacy! If he really could stop on his own do you think he’d stop now at a high stakes gambling tables in Vegas? I understand Ludwig wanting to help him out but at the moment Greyson or whoever he is is just preying on Ludwig’s good nature to get away with it.
@@naveendennis That’s very true, and it very well might not change his life at all, however, jail or debt won’t resolve his addiction either. His life is objectively better because of Ludwig whether or not that’s just
@@naveendennis calm yourself bro, I literally live in Vegas. With the leverage and information that Ludwig has now, especially the fact that he has a PI, Ludwig can force him to ban himself and will know when it’s done. Lud isn’t just gonna let him go around once he gained all this info. Plus, knowing the strip there’s a VERY high chance that even if he doesn’t ban himself the casinos prolly all have him on a blacklist or smthn to keep him out because of Ludwig. It will 100% work out I promise.
knowledge and awareness does little unfortunately. being aware that you're fat and the knowledge to lose fat does nothing to actually get in shape. degenerate gamblers will gamble. it's programmed in their dna.
I had my suspicions, it always felt a little strange he was just happy to gamble with Ludwigs money and "try" to get his money back for him. I think a bunch of us knew it was incredibly suspicious from the beginning though
I'm glad he told the whole story. I hope it has a better ending than it stands right now. I've heard Ludwig talk about his gambling addiction in the past so when I heard he gambled 40k I was really worried about him. The fact he was ok with losing 50k is kind of crazy though.
Ludwig, i feel like you really should be reporting this guy. Getting him banned from vegas doesn't stop him from doing this to someone who can't afford a 50k loss. He can go gamble out of state, or online. How do you know he won't just find another outlet to do this and eventually ruin someones life?
@@akshitgupta6712 He has a podcast with his roommates called The Yard :) Along with the episodes they post to TH-cam, they also have episodes on Patreon. 10/10 would recommend :)
Ludwig in this video alone basically made a PSA. He's doing community work to educating the public. He created content to entertain us. There are lessons in this video. There are morals to be learned. There's empathy. There is just so much in this video alone that not many content creators ON ANY PLATFORM can quite honestly do.
@@biggrocc19 He could recoup it by pumping out meme reaction videos. At the end of the day 50k isn't much for him, like he said. It's an interesting video and obviously something people would want to watch. Plus the whole public shaming thing
It does not take restraint to take the vindictive route when you're wealthy. Sure, if lud had 100k net worth total, and just lost half of it, I could see why he could sue. But he's incredibly wealthy and has a constant stream of income. If he went through the law and got Grayson locked up, that would just be a terrible look
@@billjamal4764 I agree, if it were me who got scammed I'd definitely take the lawsuit route because 100k is enough to completely change my life, I'm glad it was lud cause ik most would prefer to go down the route I said
I remember him telling chat about this guy when he got back from Vegas. We were all trying to tell him it was a scam but oh well, at least Lud can take the loss, and is willing to admit he was scammed.
Its a real shame I wasnt there for that stream, I work for the Australian version of Fanduel (same company different names) and if I had heard this I 100 % would have known it was a scam and I would have hoped Ludwig would have heard me out if I had donated. We see this shit all the time and it is a massive red flag. The second we hear someone has used someone elses card/bank account to transfer money over we would suspend the account and unless they can prove the link would take it straight to the cops. Happens about 10 times a day over here and people still fall for this shit even though its been through the news countless times
@@dezomolz Well like I said, literally the entire chat was spamming it’s a scam, so I’m not sure how much one individual would have made a difference. Lud did get nervous, but then called the guy, and the guy smooth talked Lud to trust him again.
Lud was insisting it wasn’t a scam because the guy had been making him money already. The guy gained Lud’s trust so he would send him more than what teachers make in a year, and then he stole it.
I think he messed with the right guy, since Ludwig has enough compassion to give him a second chance, enough clout and intelligence to hold him accountable and enough money that the loss doesn't cause serious harm. Like Ludwig said that kind of loss is the amount that would have killed or broken most people, but he has enough that he'll be ok. I really hope Grayson does comply and turn himself in to the casinos. If not, then Ludwig dropping the hammer of justice on him will be justified. I know of some families that have lost their whole life savings to scammers, and yeah, it ruined their lives. They lost their home, people got divorced, siblings got separated, they went from living a decent comfortable life, to starving and fighting for scraps on the street with debt collectors pounding on their door threatening their lives and kidnapping their children for ransom, or to be sold in slavery or social workers threatening to take the children because they couldn't afford to feed them. Like some of those kids were deeply traumatised for life from being separated from their families or put in real danger or being sold to slavery. I also know a guy that did get caught scamming for a similarly large some of money, and to this day we don't know if the lung cancer got to him first or the mob, but he did not live long after that. Grayson is super lucky that Ludwig is not throwing him to the loan sharks or in the slammer right away. Like he needs to know what a kindness a second chance is being given to him.
It’s actually pretty touching that lud would choose to protect this guy from going to prison but Grayson should face harsher consequences. self banning/public shame isn’t enough - people don’t change easily, especially when it involves money.
@@zilliq it's the fact that lud believe in second chances. He still have all the information needed to put him away for several years. The future will tell if he uses his chance or not.
@@zilliq noone cares if he gambles again ludwig made him ban himself to prevent this guy from scamming other people by walking up to them in casinos and saying "hey im a proffesional gambler i think you should give me your money" he cant do that in online casino so it doesnt matter if he gambles in online casinos
@@sufu1998 he can still go online and scam people so easily and he sees now he can get away with a massive scam with zero consequences. He will continue to scam people over and over in new ways. He can’t do it in Vegas (maybe) but there are hundreds of casinos on the strip and even more off the strip so it’s still possible. Plus there are casinos in Atlantic City, Reno, even in Palm Springs. Now this guy can just go to any of those and continue his elicit activities. As the child of a serious addict I really wish he contacted some authority so this guy would face actual consequences and might ACTUALLY hit rock bottom and get help. Right now he is thinking fuck yeah I got $50k with barely any inconvenience to myself. Addicts will not think twice about continuing their activities knowing how easy this was to weasel his way out.
This is why I like Ludwig, he's tanking his $100,000 loss and giving Grayson a chance to have a fresh start on his life, when most people would want revenge. Mad respect.
honestly I would have more respect for him if he put grayson in prison and banned him from every casino. even if ludwig is rich, doesn't matter. justice is justice.
@@music4laur if he's the only victim sure whatever, if he's not then he's not thinking about the other victims. Unless he made the scammer return the money to all his victims. Then it would be some semblance of justice
Tell that to the victims of Grayson who can’t afford to just brush of a loss of money. When you scam, you know what you’re doing. You know you’re taking advantage of another person and possibly ruining their lives. No second chances for scum who take.
I'm filled with nothing but respect for Ludwig, and even though he got scammed I thoroughly enjoyed this video. I'm hoping the effort Ludwig put into giving this guy a second chance does not go to waste🙏
I’ve gotten scammed for 1500$ so I know how it feels. Knew this girl for a long time and she screwed me over with a fake story needing to borrow money. Never lend and money to any family or friends. Ruins relationships
Genuinely love how you handled this. People may say "soft, naive" and, yk, maybe I am too, but you dealt with the situation exactly how it needed. Hopefully this is his rock bottom and he will take control over his life again, and never do this to anyone. That should always be the end goal. Nice job my dude 👍
Honestly Ludwig is such a chill and humble guy. I would have lost my shit over this. I'd have felt so stupid and so embarrassed, but Lud honestly sees it from a very rational perspective. I know he's not exactly short on cash, but like, even if it was 1% of this amount of money, I'd have flipped out.
I don't think so and i'm talking from personal experience : a gambling addiction is much like a drug addiction sometimes it's not always about the money but the rush itself from winning big, i don't have hope that this guy is gonna stop gambling unless he get's basically an intervention or moves out of vegas, my money is on the house :)
I saw this video and I was like, there’s no way I’m going to be able to listen to 20 minutes of this, but I did. Amazing story telling Lud, having the confidence to say you were wrong when your friends were right is really hard. Proud of you for choosing this selfless route to help others, rather than hide it.
I saw this video and I was like, there is definitely a way I’m gonna watch 20 minutes of this, and I did. I watched all 20 minutes and enjoyed luds great storytelling. The ability to admit failure takes confidence, and I’m proud of ole Ludwig for being so selfless. I bet if this video was 30 minutes I’d still watch it. And that’s saying a lot because every minute wasted equates to the price of a used Honda Civic
@@tink6225 What?... The reason I was hesitant to watch 20 minutes of this is because someone very close to me was also scammed in a similar way, and I was afraid I wouldn't be able to listen to even 5 minutes of this from the anxiety of reliving the experience through Ludwig. 😫😅 I appreciate you judging me from a random comment on TH-cam though xD Totally seems like it works out for you often. lol
I lost $2000 a few days ago from a scam because I thought I was going to get more money. I feel stupid. So this video kind of helps. I’m still grieving, but I’ll be fine. 😓
Gambling addiction or not, I wouldn't let him off. You really trust him to 'self-ban' and not do this shit again? Remember the last time you put your trust in this guy? He might be playing nice now, but that's because he's backed into a corner; he'll say anything for a safe exit. Letting him go 100% leads to him scamming more people.
Trust him to do it is the wrong term. He's hoping he will and is checking and validating whether he did before any action is taken. He's giving him a chance to turn over a new leaf instead of scamming another 100 people out of a grand to pay him back
Ultimate Bet (poker Website pushed even by ppl like Phil Hellmuth) literally scammed their entire customer base out of money, owners addresses are known - some island forgot what Carribean or SEA. PPL hired private dicks, took pix of them, etc. Nobody has the balls to do anything outside the law and inside it they are protected due to jurisdictions and bribes. TENS UPON TENS OF THOUSANDS OF PPL SCAMMED. This is small fish. PPL dont do enough because they are not ruined and those that are ruined cant afford to do anything. Also what is often the case with scammers like this is they are covering up their own failed investments or addictions and its often a pyramid scheme.
He’s not necessarily “trusting him”, he talked about it more on steam but he’s also retaining the private investigator to continue following Grayson’s moves and he’s independently confirming with all of the casinos that Grayson is indeed banned
Grayson is so incredibly lucky that Lud is being so lenient here. If that was anyone else, there’d be a huge chance that Grayson would either be in jail or maimed or killed.

The only difference is these are people I have known for over 20 year of my life at that point. Come to find out his dad was actually going through a major mid life crisis and was spending the money on hookers and so he did not have to work. I will never forget the day when I didn't even have money to get home from working 14 hours that day and the weekend I seen them after. While his dad, my best friend through school, and his younger brother were in an apartment I payed for standing in that living room the person who was supposed to be my closest friend told me "It's only money get over it you are never getting it back" after he had just played 18 hours straight of ark survival evolved with no job for years on end at roughly age 24. Not to sure that is the right road to take. There is no way to know if he truly keeps his word, or if since he is already used to scamming people that he doesn’t immediately start trying different tactics to scam people. The money you lost might not bother you as much, but the money he probably scammed out of other people might matter more to them.
He cant prove he scammed others like he can him though. Sending him to jail and suing for the money he was owed doesn't really help those people except maybe some vindication but they should go to the authorities outside of expecting Ludwig to book him.
Based on the Private Investigators research, Grayson used the money he won off of Ludwig’s money to repay everyone else and Ludwig is the only one losing money here.
The whole "lost my money gambling" sob story is probably false to begin with, he probably just hightailed it with the cash and will just be extra careful to pick targets next time. I seriously hope the scammer changed their ways, and I also hope Lud goes through with handing them over to the FBI if they dont.
Hope this guy finds the will to change and realizes his actions have consequences. Hopefully he rights his wrongs and gives the money back to the people he scammed.
Why would he? If he's already duped someone with the mugging story, he's not going to roll back up and give them money (the kind of money he doesn't have, and can only get by scamming people). Trusting someone who's shown themselves to be a remorseless liar is the height of naivety. It'd be a different story if he came to Lud and confessed, but he was caught out, realising he'll always have a papertrail at the casinos (which is also why he's imposing a self-ban; that particular casino's no good for him hunting for marks anymore now he's been flagged as a scammer - he'll just move to a different casino and/ or adopt an alias).
I envy having that level of mental clarity - and financial comfort 😖 - to handle a situation like this that well. I genuinely feel impressed and uplifted by your morale, and respect for other people. Thanks Ludwig ❤️

The guy should release a book/video titled, "How I scammed a youtuber for $100k and got away with it" He'll probably make a couple mill off of that + the royalties to the movie adaptation
agreed, gambling addiction is actually way harder to kick and more destructive than drug addiction IMO. It rewires your brain completely into constantly chasing that next "guaranteed" win. With how easy it is to gamble online he won't even notice the in-person ban. It's one thing to gamble your own savings away, but its another to become such a slave to the game that you start scamming people out of their money and losing it on your own escapades. Dude belongs in a cell, maybe then his dopamine junked brain will associate the punishment with his actions.
You're right that this Greyson guy will just gamble and scam in other avenues. A gambling addiction isn't the same as a substance addiction, but it's similar in that gambling addicts almost never just go cold turkey. They also almost never stop destructively gambling on their first serious attempt to stop. Online gambling is easier and more accessible than ever now. I don't know if this Greyson guy has the smarts to do online scamming, but I wouldn't be particularly surprised is he does. And if he does, he will likely never get identified because it's much much easier to conceal your identity in online scams. I think Ludwig's heart is in the right place, and his decision is reasonable, but unless he's not mentioning specifics about why he thinks Greyson will actually stop, it's likely that Greyson will destructively gamble and possibly scam again in ways that aren't as tracible. People usually do not succeed in quitting gambling. xQc, Train, Adin Ross, and even Ludwig himself have admitted having gambling addictions that they aren't over.
Gambling is a terrible addiction. It's on par with alcohol. They literally have support groups...This guy will without a doubt find a way to do this to more people. You have a lot of faith in people though.
My exact thoughts, a very kind gesture for him to let the kid go and not ruin his life but there's really no way to completely stop someone from gambling, especially when they're addicted to it, they'll always find a way.
Perhaps, but if he does, Ludwig has the private investors case file to really drop the hammer of justice on him. So it really is just one chance to set things right.

“Can’t pay you because I got robbed” “That’s bullshit. You scammed me” “Yes I scammed you Ludwig” “Pay me back” “My email got hacked” “That’s a lie! I’ll contact authorities if you don’t give me money” “I’m a gambling addict and I spent it all. I’m young and it’ll ruin my life” “Oh. Get yourself banned from casinos” “Okay. I’ll do that” “That’s good enough for me and I’m not pressing charges” How does this make sense Ludwig? He’s scamming you and getting away with it. I won’t be surprised if his name is not Grayson. Please contact the authorities!
If he does actually stop scamming, then I think that’s the main thing. Though there’s no way to guarantee that he is stopping. And I’m not sure the authorities would be able to give back the money he scammed people out of. Maybe liquify his assets? Even if he reports it and he goes to jail, that probably doesn’t really help in the long run. It’s hard to bounce back - especially financially - after being in jail. It might even encourage the scamming behavior after he gets out.
@@Veronicz You know what’s also hard to bounce back from? Being scammed out of your money. Scammers deserve no sympathy, they ruin other peoples lives for the betterment of their own.
@@Veronicz you catch scammers mainly to stop them from scamming more people. Yes it is unlikely that Ludwig will ever get his money back but that’s not the point of catching scammers. He’ll have multiple victims by now and there’s no way he’ll have it all in assets. I have no problem with having sympathy for this guy but my concern is that most scammers weaponize empathy and basic human decency to get away without any repercussions for all their actions. One more thing about scammers like him is we don’t know what motivated him to start scamming people and there’s no indication that he has the discipline to stop himself from scamming people by himself without external help. I think if he just gets banned from casinos he will find a different place to scam people. Someone who scams people out of 100k will not stop scamming at the drop of a hat.
There should be more programs dedicated to giving people better judgement in general, so that you don't need to enforce anything, as they'll make the right choices anyways. Like a gambler's anonymous for normal people.
That guy is very very lucky to have gotten off that easily. If it was someone else in Ludwig's position he might have not been that lucky. Also interesting to see Ludwig's decision about the scammer's punishment. Eradicating the problem from it's source rather than punishing someone to a point of no return and giving him a 2nd chance, of sorts.
This makes my blood boil. At the very least it sounds like you have enough information on him to hold him accountable. But I can’t honestly say I hope he doesn’t slip and he gets in legit trouble. This punk is getting off way to easy for the amount he’s probably screwed people over. I don’t think his entire life should be ruined. But I also don’t think he needs to enjoy the whole 70 as a free man either.
Spending even a second as not a free man is sentencing him to a screwed over life. The second he gets a record it becomes near impossible for him to get a sustainable job. The reason that most people who get out of jail end up right back in is because they end up needing to resort to illegal ways to sustain their lives. If this guy went to jail he would come right back out as a criminal and would most likely resort to even more harmful ways of getting other peoples money. Ludwig is giving him the chance to turn his life around without the downside of having a record that will make it impossible for him to get a real job.
@@khamazon8893 There are plenty of jobs and opportunities as a non violent felon to get a decent livable wage. Is it harder? sure, as it should be. But not every job even requires a background check. The majority of felons that fail to integrate back in society are the uneducated and those that grew up disadvantaged who never had real skills to succeed to begin with. The scammer is some kid that clearly has good social skills at the very least. But I’m fairly confident he’s educated and has plenty of real world skills to not be forced back into a life of crime. If he can’t lead a decent life after some time, that’s solely on him. If he fails again, I don’t think we need to give him anymore pity anyways…
@@jukappa see this is the difference in nature between someone like Ludwig and someone like you. You believe a young person who makes a mistake deserves to be sent to prison and sentenced to a life of hunting down second rate jobs just to keep a living, whereas someone like Ludwig believes that people deserve a chance to fix their lives before being sucked into the never ending cycle that is our prison system.
@@khamazon8893 Am I supposed to feel like that is some sort of valid argument? Just because you agree with Ludwig and also think that EVERY felon is sentenced to a lifetime of poverty doesn’t mean you’re just right.
@@RandomBruh I’d argue this scare tactic won’t help just as much as you’d argue it would. Just like spouses who cheat, many just end up being serial cheaters when they get a pass from the significant other. I’m aware It’s not exactly 1:1, but it’s just one example of arguing for the point that people don’t necessarily learn a lesson if they aren’t actually held accountable. Regardless, I just don’t see how he’s going to do anything different now. Ludwig was saying in the video that he was taking new bets to help pay for other bets. So he’s been digging himself in a hole with multiple people and now that he is basically outed, he’s going to have a target on his back and will probably have to risk doing it again to avoid trouble from someone else. I really don’t see this having the happy ending you guys all think.
DAMN LUD... Respect for being able to talk about this at all, not only on stream but MAKING A TH-cam VIDEO ABOUT IT. I have never been scammed but I know it is somewhat common, specially in the USA, for old people to be scammed. Vegas isnt the only place a scammer can gamble/scam. He'll keep doing it regardless of whether he bans himself from vegas casinos. I'm not gonna claim to be an expert but I do have a degree in psychology and I can tell you he will find a way to keep doing what he does unless he gets some serious therapy/help.
Sure but how is getting him in prison going to help? People here keep saying how he should go to prison but the US prison system would literally do the opposite of helping this person.
@@link4232 That's a stupid answer, it's not about time in jail, it's about being useful for the society as a whole. I guess you don't know or care but the country you live in expects you to work and pay taxes, you are of NO worth in jail to anyone, in fact, he would keep spending money but from everyone instead of a select few. In my opinion, he should be made to give back money to the amount that would make sense but not waste everyone else's money in jail, that's for sure. Plus I would expect him to get psychological help.
Came from the stream, interesting to see more of the story. I think you handled this situation in a very mature way. Cette situation est folle à chier et je ne pourrais pas imaginer être à ta place. Hope QT feels better soon and things get better for you and grayson.
Addiction makes people do some pretty wild stuff. Its a horrible thing to either be physically or mentally addicted to something and just feel this aching pain to revolve your world around that thing. Even smaller addictions can take up so much of your time or health yet can be so painful to walk away from. People who are addicted NEED help. Ludwig did something truly special here. Its like an animal in a trap, they might be lashing out biting and clawing at anything and everything, but they are also desperately just trying to escape but dont know how. Sympathy is important.
i almost got scammed once, so i 100% know the feeling of embarrassment, you really dont feel like doing anything about it, you want to kick youself so hard for not noticing the sings earlier. im so lucky tho, and i was able to circumvent the scam by acting on it fast enough.
Honestly it was dumb to send a random guy this amount of money and i think you know that but it's also dumb to let him walk away without penalty. This guy doesn't have the ability to make you this promise. Gamblers will fuck over their own parents you really think a promise to you is worth anything? The route you took by not giving the information to authorities is dangerous. Now it's a case where, whatever this guy does, whoever he scams and whatever he does to get money - you could have stopped it but you didn't. If you were to involve the authorities and he was found guilty it would have came out in the investigation and also in the trial that he is seriously addicted to gambling which means while in prison or while being supervised in the community he would have been forced to confront his addiction though support groups that he is legally required to go to. You have potentially stopped this guy from the one chance he had to redirect his life. I see the comments and people are saying you are good guy for allowing him a chance to redeem himself but i just don't see it like that at all, quite the opposite.
You're forgetting that Ludwig has 2 private investigators keeping his eyes on him, the second Greyson goes back to a casino, or goes out of state to gamble, Ludwig will know, and Ludwig will have the FBI on speed dial. He's not stupid enough to just have blind trust for the guy.
You gotta watch out for statues of limitations. Basically authorities can only do so much within a certain period of time. Just be careful with the delay.
Lud ima be real. I think you are somewhat right in not getting him arrested but in all fairness there are many ways where he can continue to scam. I think what he has done is certainly enough to be locked up. The countless people taken advantage of should all come together to decide. IMO I would have stopped him. Just a theory but he will move states and start over again

When he talked about this guy the first time I was like "Yeah that's a scam... I hope he's kidding and not giving him more money" but oh well
@@dezomolz Well like I said, literally the entire chat was spamming it’s a scam, so I’m not sure how much one individual would have made a difference. Lud did get nervous, but then called the guy, and the guy smooth talked Lud to trust him again.
Lud was insisting it wasn’t a scam because the guy had been making him money already. The guy gained Lud’s trust so he would send him more than what teachers make in a year, and then he stole it.
i was in chat saying scam lol
Grayson messed with the wrong guy when he scammed ludwig 😂
he's an addict, I (unironically) bet he continues doing it.

@@sufu1998 he can still go online and scam people so easily and he sees now he can get away with a massive scam with zero consequences. He will continue to scam people over and over in new ways.

Ludwig is fortunate enough to lose 50k and not end up ruining his life, will the next person be?
the guy would have to pay lud ~100k for the debt, plus the charges. you really think he would be able to pay that back without gambling of some sort or living miserably for many, many years? lud doesn't want that for the guy nor for himself, as it would likely burden his conscience. pressing charges would either do that, or get him into jail for many, many years. lud's decision wasn't the soft one, it was the one with second chances and faith in humanity; faith that grayson could become a better person.
@@neka_jp2070 this is the most dumb comment I have ever seen, the guy walk away free and will for sure scam more people in the future, after all he got away scamming people already. morally I believe this is a better way forward, only real negative I see short-term is that the people who've gotten scammed by this person is missing out on potential(?) compensatory damages (aka some money back "or more")

lets not fool ourselves, in the absolute most cases where a scammer is caught with enough evidence against them to go down, they're 100% screwed. Far from everyone gets proper help that they need along the way - someting we're definitely improving upon. But in the end it doesn't matter to the law.

Ludwig know that you are not alone. I was scammed out of 11,154 dollars as well a few years back trying to help my best friend through all of school who attempted suicide and his father who was asking to borrow money claiming to try to help that situation they were in. That number to this day does not leave my mind after not talking to these people for three years now. My number may not be as big but the enormous impact that had on me as well as trusting people has honestly not been the same since. But on a positive note that lack of trusting people ended up leading me to owning my own company now with the logic being the only person I can trust when it comes to money is myself and I've never been more satisfied knowing that I am doing it better than the people before me.

From what I know from others the son is still alive but at the time he drove off a highway viadock traveling over 100mph and rolled his car onto a railroad track a bunch of times. The reason for him doing so was do to his own laziness of not having a job or making any progression for years on end so his girlfriend of 7 years decided to finally leave him after graduating her 4 year degree. Those guys were some people I considered to be family for quite some time as well. It may be something that may be seen as fake to you, but the memories of that 6 hour manhunt and having to contact state troopers to barricade off a state park with cliffs in it which is where it ended up being found out he intended to make his final destination at is pretty crazy to think about which is how he resorted to driving off that viadock instead. On a final note I will say this, I knew he was in a rough state when he sent me a message on a game we play asking for my email, I asked him you aren't going to do something stupid are you? His response- "lol no"- I sent him my email account and not by 5 minutes later I received a bunch of phone calls and a suicide email their. The only way this can work is if he's actually self-banned from everywhere. Problem is, I don't think shit like crypto casinos would necessarily honor that, so it's a self-imposed ban from any of those.

Exactly
It is either he learns or he doesn't but at least he now has the best chance of actually changing instead of being imprisoned.
agreed, gambling addiction is actually way harder to kick and more destructive than drug addiction IMO.
Just make sure if you see greyson gambling/ betting report it to lud
I for some reason think that casinos check everyone that walks in and view their personal history to find who has a good amount of money.
Gambling is a terrible addiction. It's on par with alcohol. They literally have support groups...This guy will without a doubt find a way to do this to more people. You have a lot of faith in people though.
@bodoti qwiu wdym admit, it's literally in the title
My exact thoughts, a very kind gesture for him to let the kid go and not ruin his life but there's really no way to completely stop someone from gambling, especially when they're addicted to it, they'll always find a way.
ludwigs still being too nice, this dude will never stop finding a way to scam people
Perhaps, but if he does, Ludwig has the private investors case file to really drop the hammer of justice on him. So it really is just one chance to set things right.

“That’s good enough for me and I’m not pressing charges”
How does this make sense Ludwig?
Scammers deserve no sympathy, they ruin other peoples lives for the betterment of their own.
you are right its a dumb deal

The narrative touch of the phone dropping as you realize the scam is so good. Lud's a great storyteller
"I wanted to do something fun with the money, so i gave $10k to the people who clean my house" Ludwig really is a great guy
It is so amazing how lud was a able to come out about getting scam that takes courage
I see the comments and people are saying you are good guy for allowing him a chance to redeem himself but i just don't see it like that at all, quite the opposite.
damn fax
underestimating true addiction yes.
@@fofnifolar sure he will pay a private investigator for next 15 years.
@@fofnifolar "He's not stupid enough to just have blind trust for the guy" hmmm are you sure about that?
That's a shame hope he gets justice served to him.
You're not dumb, Ludwig, you are very good person. Some idoits just abusing good people like you and that is awful
Ludwig u r not soft man u just have a great kind heart! Hope he doesn’t gamble again
