What does Brené Brown mean when she says the most compassionate people have the best boundaries?

Brené Brown is know for the quote "the most compassionate people have the best boundaries". What does she mean? Surely the most consistently giving, the ones who always put others first are the most compassionate? That's not what her data shows.
