I studied Social work in College and my husband studied mechanical engineering. He could not wrap his head around social sciences. Twenty two years later, we watched Brene’s Netflix special and he got it! Brene’ taught my husband vulnerability! It has changed our lives! Last year for Christmas all he wanted was his own copy of each of her books! He’s read them all numerous times. I wish I could hug her!!!

I ADORE Brene and Engineers have a different way of thinking, that's just facts. My niece is married to an engineer. That's why some people can be astrophysicists & other people, like me, say Don't tell me, it's too overwhelming & my brain cannot comprehend all that! I've used "everyone is a leader" as a core premise behind human growth and development trainings that I developed and conducted for decades. That people don't seem to understand that everyone has a role to play and influences people around them is beyond me. You can be a positive leader or a negative leader. I don't think a negative leader that gains power is good for anyone's future. So when people try to say that Trump is brave, they've lost me. Brave people don't other people; brave people don't stoop to scapegoating and name calling. He does.
