No one has ever helped me to get over my insecurities and doubts more than you have, Brene. You are such a light. I love you and your work. I've read you books and listened to your talks for hours and they have helped me to get through some of my most difficult moments. ❤

Brene, I just found you and becoming a big fan of yours. I've heard people tell me Shame on you. I've heard Joel Osteen say, you need to tell yourself NO, Shame off me. I really thought shame and guilt were pretty much the same thing or intermingled. Thanks for differentiating the two. I am really taking note of people, who they are, what they say, and how they act. Meaning watching people and seeing their integrity. I want to live my life with more integrity.

this needs to be more visible for kids. .ever think of a children's book for them to cope? It's like whew, finally someone is pulling back the curtain and telling "a truth". I see it in my mind as when we were kids and we were "teed off" in life and into life. And we won't notice the "defects" of our childhood beliefs/patterns until years and decades later. Think of the guy or girl teeing off the golf ball and that one projection of the ball (you and I) is our life. It take time to notice that we may have gotten off course in real life and end up in the sand pit, gone into the trees or fallen in the water. .and we tend to stay where ever we land, eh? Are we teeing off the ball or is someone still teeing us off (auto pilot)? I love watching her tedx and youtube interviews along with teal swan's youtube channel. thank you thank thank you.

Hi Brene: Thank You. I really appreciate your work. Shame has had a hold on me from my youth. Only when I began a 12 step program in my 60's was I able to distinguish shame from guilt. I now realize that guilt is a legal standing, nothing more. As I began for the first time in my life to confront, admit and deal with the guilt I was hiding from, my shame slowly began to disappear. The more I told my story and admitted the things I had done, the less I responded to the beckoning call of shame. When I began to make amends to those I hurt, it dissipated even more. I still catch my inner dialogue being less than kind, from time to time, but it is no longer overwhelming. Thank you again for your work.

also I love the bumper sticker idea of "If you bless my heart, I'll kick your ass" lol :-) You think it would be a hit with the bible belt/church crowd?
