Steven Wilson, no more words to say. Well, just one: AMAZING. This song, the perfect mix to cry...of happiness, of much sadness. Love this musicianship, the best nowdays.
i love this song / lyrics so much. but at the same time it makes me more depressed. the lyrics, melodies gave me goosebumps. *there's nothing left for me to say or do, cause all that matters dissapears when i lost you* ༼ ༎ຶ ෴ ༎ຶ༽
I dunno how many broken relationships has Wilson had before getting married, but I have a few under my belt and can say he nailed it completely with his lyrics here. They're the perfect continuation of Cher's question "do you believe in life after love?". And well, it depends. It's deep s*it for a while.
One of my absolute faves. They nail it live. Ugggh sooo goooood! I am so blessed to have met them the first time I saw them in 2013. Guthrie was the guitarist though. Meeting Steven was indescribable. I got to meet my hero! Thank you for posting this masterpiece.
You will know when you experience a deep loss. You will know as it will happen sooner or later. It will floor you and take you down, Some zone out on drugs or crawl onto a bottle. Others may slowly kill themselves. Composing music is how he copes with it.
En Madrid le esperamos con ansia viva!! Ojala interpreten este tema, el mejor de Grace 4 drowning. Gracias Rodrigo por compartir, TY Mr. Wilson to be and feel as u do :)
The "Even Less" example is actually a nod to the full, extended version of the song. Those are the lyrics to the last regular verse. If you haven't heard it, it's on their "Recordings" release, along with a ton of other B-sides and unreleased songs.
Has a little Beatle sound to this song? For me no members playing in this song over played at any time because it sound's just perfect! With this excellent live performance indeed by Steven & his band members!
Amazing song, ruined by over-the-top drumming. Yes Marco, we know you are incredible, but you don't need to show off in every song. This is why Gavin is so good...restraint when it matters.
So glorious, music like this is evidence for the existence of a soul.
Steven Wilson in the crowd at his own show at 4:02.
Steven is a God. No doubt about it.
Beautiful song 🎶
This may be the most powerful song I've ever heard.
This is Stevens best rendition of POSTCARD

It seems he didn't slip up in the end. I was in the concert in Hamburg last Thursday, they performed "Postcard" and he sang "the light..." as well ;-)
Exelente minnemann 3:37 🎵😻
De nada, estimado...
Saludos desde Chile!!!
i cry :'(
Oh my gosh. That's terrible. Sorry to hear that. Hugs! Hopefully Mr. Wilson & Co. are helping you get through your nightmare...
Me, too! I played this to my mother, when she told me she was divorcing my dad.
Returns in Rome please!!!
Hehe, danke. Das sagen mir alle immer wieder, aber freut mich natürlich, wenn andere den auch so lustig finden wie ich! ^^
This tune makes me feel like Stevie Wonder...head swayin' from side to side with a big ol' grin on ma face!
Well sayd and i agree.

I think only Marco is having fun in such a sad song.
is this the song he wrote for his father ?
Tonight. Santiago. 21:00 :D
le 12/11/2013 au docks a Lausanne.....
Steven is an E.T confirmed. Teleported himself within the audience at 4:07
back to bass communion...might MIGHT make me sleep...
Is there anything sadder than this? :'(
Bren. Boguslavsky possibly the only things sadder than this are The Raven That Refused To Sing (the song) and Routine.

Describes my depression. How does he know?
strangerly steven sang "The 'light' inside my eyes has long gone out" instead "The fire"
anyway, it sounds awesome nevertheless.
dat kenji pic
Ach so, du bist ja Österreicher, da hätte ich auch auf deutsch antworten können. Na ja, egal... :-)
8ck
haha ^^
also jednfalls klingts trotzdem geil, obwohl "the fire" authentischer klingt.
ps: verdammt kreativer account nickname dude :D
& opeth \m/
I guess he just slipped up
maybe he doesn't learn the text he wrote, Steven just fucking sing out what he thinks
so.. you don't? Or was this just a sweet punch of sarcasm?

Minnemann kinda overdid his part, other than that great performance.
Overdid? Why do you say that? I feel like it was very well executed
