Amazing band, pur magic. And the man, the myth ,the one and only nick beggs on bass,an absolute beast on bass. Like the rest from.the Band, everyone is so freakin' high professinal, with his instrument.
And don't forget that it's the same chord like in the beginning of the main riff of Deliverance, which consists of three tritones on top of the b. (just one octave higher^^).
Well from what I understand Mikael wrote the riff to "Blackest Eyes" off of In Absentia, and it seems like the two of them bounce ideas off of each other a lot. Have you ever listened to Storm Corrosion? That is a great album with brilliant composition. Also, Wilson may of had that idea for many years, and felt that PT wasn't the right venue for it.
I'm not hating against Wilson, I think it's just normal that your creativity depends on what you're listening to. But yes, I know Storm Corrosion. I absolutely adore that album!
i don't know the exact keyboard Adam is using but the patch very much has the sound of a Fender Rhodes electric piano played through a revolving Leslie Speaker/Amp.

Este tema tiene algo de King Crimson,Maestro Steven Wilson! temazo de un gran álbum
This is absolutely amazing!! and that crowd knows how to properly listen and enjoy the music. Cheers to that!
De acord :)
yup, right on, Ana Maria !!!
Tremendo momento ese, la banda luciéndose en pleno y ese fue uno de los momentos mas maravillosos de la noche mágica esa...
TREMENDO, gran recuerdo de ambos conciertos en Chile, aún recuerdo cuando cae el telón... mágico!
What a killer song! But I think it's kinda funny that Wilson produced Deliverance with Opeth and comes up with this riff nine years later. :P
+Metalmeyer666 It's really easy for riffs in 7/4 to sound like this due to the way you'd accent notes, but I agree it's funny :P

The riff sounds a lot like something Robert Fripp plays in King Crimson
Exactly!!!
It is a dual stage organ...
@Hamselv1 I completely agree! I'm glad someone else realizes what a tragedy that could've been. Marco is too talented to be wasted on DT
dat bass
+Duali Wolf Chapman stick ;)
lo grabaste? compartelo!!
What's the name of the keyboard Adam is using during his solo in the mid part ? Sounds really awesome !
i don't know the exact keyboard Adam is using but the patch very much has the sound of a Fender Rhodes electric piano played through a revolving Leslie Speaker/Amp.
that's a korg sv-1 (at least the keyboard, the sound could also be digital from the laptop, a rhodes patch, like glen beestone explained)
lasse hoile written all over it
that guitar needs a setup ;)
I think it just a dual stage organ...
AHHHHHHHHH (eargasm)! Musical "brutality", kinda abuse or something.
