I am absolutely grateful for the firefighters and chief Boden Wallace. I love watching Chicago fire but it drives my younger brother crazier in and out of his toddler brain.
Something like that happened here in Brazil back in 2013. It was a nightclub called "boate kiss". Unfortunately 242 people died, it was a tragedy. I heard that the firefighters said the place looked like hell itself. A lot of people tried to escape trough the bathroom, but didn't have success, so there was a pile of bodies in there. I remember that the hole country stopped that week.
@@thamaraalmeida6668 i'm from the city where it happened, what caused it was the band playing that day used some sort of stage fireworks that had sparks hit the isolation material on the ceiling (which was a cheap one) and it caught on fire, generating toxic smoke from the chemicals and melting, dripping on people underneath, who had severe 3rd degree burns, many of the other victims died suffocating when they thought the bathroom was the exit and piled up in there, also there was much panic at the exit, since the security guards wouldn't let people leave at first because when the commotion started they thought it was a fight, and they didn't want people to leave without paying the bill, once they saw it was a fire it was just like the people from this episode falling thru the door, but much worse, many would fall and be trampled over, also people would get lost in the darkness and smoke inside, since emergecy lights were precarious, and would just faint from the smoke, there were also many who made it out but died coming back inside to try and get these people out (including firefighters). it was really complete hell and chaos. my sister was there that night but luckily she was close to the doors and managed to get out as soon as security guards freed the door, she still had to be checked (like all other victims) for a few months tho just to make sure her lungs were okay, since the smoke from the isolation material was really toxic. night clubs safety regulations changed a lot since then and the band wasn't the only one at fault, the club owner didn't follow many safety measures that should be in a closed space like that, and those could have prevented things from escalating to tragedy. also it's still under discussion whether firefighter department and the prefecture failed in checking whether the club was correctly following such measures or not (in br now: parece que a boate tava com problemas de alvará)

Fishy Nippy it’s not real it’s mostly cgi and a camp fire from a fire bar with a small contained flame the inside / fire call scenes are shoot in a studio in los angles look it up they aren’t aloud fires that size the only thing shoot in Chicago are the outside parts without any fire & the outside scene at the firehouse.

Reminds me of what happened at a lot of night clubs before fire code demanded there be more than one exit. This one club had a pyrotechnic show that caught the curtains on fire, it quickly spread across the club but there were too many people there that night trying to get out the door all at once. They literally made a wall of bodies from floor to ceiling in the doorway. Firefighters hadn't seen anything like it before. Very few people managed to actually get out
katrina nguyen those huge fires aren’t actually real that’s how they get those fires in set , fire bars (it’s gives off flames the size of a camp fire & a contained flame) , cgi is what makes it what we see on the screen
