A suggestion for people asking for mentorship or advice. - Please do your homework before you contact someone for help, don't just randomly go into advice seeking without exploring things that interest you and general idea about a couple of things. - Be specific about your concerns and questions. - Don't expect someone to be always available on call. If you want to call share what you want to talk about, your questions, your concerns, what you're working on and so on, don't just randomly ping just to chit chat unless other person is cool with it.
I am 15 and currently doing my O Levels, and I completely agree with you that, especially in the IT field, a degree isn’t always necessary. What truly matters are practical skills. For instance, if you want to be a web developer, you need to know how to code and solve problems. A 15-year-old can learn the same skills that are taught to university students, especially with resources like TH-cam, where there’s a wide variety of instructors. If you don’t understand something from one coach, you can easily switch to another. Meanwhile, university students are often occupied with subjects unrelated to their future jobs, so they aren’t as focused on the specific skills they need in their job profiles. Real skills matter, not just a degree. Many software engineers have degrees but lack the practical skills needed to survive in a real work environment. I’m not saying I won’t go to university; I understand the importance of education. However, I can’t just rely on my degree to secure a job after graduation. Practical skills are essential-it's unrealistic to believe a degree alone guarantees a job.
Exactly thats my pov. There are abundant resources online that we can land a remote job. Universities just teach irrevelant subjects in the first two years which are completely waste of time. We just need to focus on the core subject in the field that we choose. Practical skills matter a lot more than the theory.

I agree with you. Soft skills are very important. Youth need to have confidence and grit to learn new skills. Even when they want to go outside Pakistan, they need skills. If a company need a welder or electrician, they will hire someone with that skill not a day laborer. There is so much material free online including TH-cam, Khan Academy and even many universities have same courses online what the they teach in classrooms and these courses are free. Youth mentality is that they want quick results without putting in the effort. If they don't have education they can start a small business. Have a list of goals and work hard to achieve them. Job market across the world is not doing good. It is not just Pakistan, even developed economies are struggling to generate jobs!!! Hope things will improve when the geopolitical situation of the world improves!!! Pakistan cannot excel alone in this global village. Every economy in the world is connected and interdependent!!! I live in USA and here job market sucks and things are not good at all (in all the sectors).
Hes not a computer science skill builder channel. Watch his video multiple times with a notebook. Note the names of online resources he has mentioned. Then do the TH-cam and google searches he has said. Watch those videos two-4 hours a day minimum. With a notebook and pen.
One of the most important skill is communications Skill, Be able to explain someone in few words, both spoken and written. They also called them soft skills. If you can learn this skill and soon or later someone will hire you. Remember, a Skill is with you for Life. All the best.
I myself have recommended many young boys and girls for jobs back in the days but I have realised that they only want a shortcut to earn money and do not want to pass through the process.... Also we as a nation don't want to learn we stop the learning process after getting job that's what I have felt in our people.... And mostly the lack of vision and direction among us like majority of the people don't know what's the purpose of their life I mean seriously it's a basic thing to have aspirations.....
This is so true. I feel it's because they are raised to believe that money is everything, not growth or learning. Unfortunately our economic situation is such that people don't have the liberty to go out and explore alternatives, because all these things take time. They just need a job so they can give their parents some time off and pay their bills.
This is a harsh reality of our nation. We are in a rapid race for marks only, and the majority of students don't know about it. What to do after graduation because of zero skills.
85% of computer science curriculum is not applicable in jobs. Look for specific skills which you can get jobs or online jobs. Whether you are a CSC engineering graduate or not you need to learn employable skills. These skills take 1.5 to 3 years to get marketable in job market.
My sincere appreciation for selecting and talking on the subject related to productivity of the human resource that we have in fair abundance. We just need to transform this "Human resource into human capital". Wonderful content creation and excellent presentation. I wish our youth listens and understands the message. presentation
I own an HR company and while most of this is true, We have a major problem of incompetentancy. We have mulitple job openings and have candidates applying every second, However whenever we set up an interview 1) they dont show up to the job interview 2) they may be unemployed but dont like the salary. 3) they lie on their CV's. if we stop blaming the system and take accountability of our own actions and start showing up to our commitments we can do much better!
I kind of disagree with the point that IT sector is still that "6 month BootCamp and then get a job to start working". Its not like that anymore. There has been a lot of saturation in the market for the last 1 year. Im not saying that AI is gonna take your job. But 2022 a simple normal guy could learn React and start earning 60-70k USD per annum in the US. Not anymore. There has been tech winter since June, July. In Pakistan people really need to work on Mathematics otherwise they cannot get into the hype train. The money is now in data and AI/ML for that you need good maths. Plus there is one more thing I would add. In Pakistan the people who are actually good don't market themselves. I have seen people in the market from India with not that good technical knowledge but have good audience, but Pakistanis don't do that often. Even I don't do that. I honestly believe that we are not doers
