Hey Guys, I hope you're all well and living your best life possible! This recipe is fantastic and tastes so fresh. In the video I didn't mention that this is amazing for tacos, burritos, fajitas, salads and sandwiches. It's also amazing as a side dish for beef, chicken, fish and seafood. Please enjoy this one!
This is my daughters favourite, she would actually live on it. I have made it for her loads of times although I do add diced mixed peppers. Should I just omit them in future?
frying some corn until it browns slightly + any kind of salsa is also a great and easy idea (both canned and fresh corn worked marvels for this with me). Thanks for the content!
Honestly can't thank you enough for all the smiles I've been getting. Within 3 months I've learned the basics of cooking and it's all thanks too you. PS.: Don't worry I've told everyone it's thanks to you
My daughter put in a small garden this year for the first time. She only planted one tomato plant, but we've been getting a lot of tomatoes off of it, and it's delicious. A refreshing salsa made with our homegrown tomatoes will be delicious. I love using salsa as a topping for chicken and fish. 😋😋
Hey mate just found your channel, your recipe’s all look great and you are very informative which is really good considering how relatively new your channel is, keep up the good work
I see you have got to 100k subscribers! Congratulations and ALL the best. Back to Creamy Garlic Mushroom Sauce, I think I will cook some sausages and put them in this tonight.
Good day Chef, I’m so happy I found your channel today. I was quick to subscribe and look forward to viewing your history of videos and new postings. Thank You for sharing delicious food and entertaining videos. Chris from Miami Florida
👋 jack, my grandmother used to make this salsa and it's been passed on trough all generations in my family. You can also add to it mango/avocado/ pomegranate/🍍 not all at the same time 😋It also goes well with a good steak!
Hello Jack. Great video. For those who cannot stand cilantro, could another herb be used. I think I had something similar years ago but not with cilantro in it... take care. Still waiting to know what time is dinner ;)
Hey Rob! Glad you enjoyed the video. For the substitute you can use parsley, oregano, dill, marjoram and thyme. They all work really well with this dish. You can even add all of them together and it will be a herbal explosion of flavour 👌👌👌
Wow! Did not expect you to be so young! I'm a newish subscriber since watching your creamy garlic mushrooms sauce video 👍 Btw, your chef's knife looks familiar... I have a set of Shun 旬, is that what you're using?
I’m 24 years old. Yes it’s a Shun premier Santoku, they’re fantastic knives! Thank you so much for subscribing too it means a lot to have your support. 🙏🙏
Maybe a weird question, but is there something that would be a good substitute for the coriander? The salsa looks awesome, but coriander totally tastes like soap to me :p
I'm so glad you took my advice and improved the sound. It's great for two reasons, first your listening to your community and taking feedback, and second your quality is rapidly improving which means you will be attracting more and more viewers. Congrats on the 100K! I told you from the start your channel will explode. -Cheers
You could have more easily mashed the garlic in a mortar with the salt skipping the laborious slicing. The jalapeno is NOT optional and a few loose seeds are desirable. The vinaigrette is a novel addition. Lovely results.
The whole idea of this recipe was for cutting techniques that are good to know if you don’t have certain items ie, mortar and pestle or grater. I know quite a lot of people that watch the videos don’t like chilli, that’s the only reason I say it’s optional. I agree with you the chilli is great in this.
@@ChefJackOvens Obviously a professional can make short work of anything requiring a knife. Not so with most home makers. I can see this procedure taking 7 or 8 minutes to get to a paste in unskilled hands. Even an old retired pro, like myself, doesn't have the speed of someone putting in hours every day in the kitchen. Be that as it may, you're videos do show your viewers the proper way a classically trained professional does the job. Something they can aspire to achieve. As for the chili, it's not salsa without it. That would be a tomato salad. (I live in the American Southwest.) Thank you for taking time to reply. I appreciate the effort you put into your channel. Looking forward to your next video. 😃
@@ChefJackOvens I understand, I said this in jest. I lived in California for 10 years and really got used to chilis. When I make pico de gallo I use four full jalapenos and one serrano raosted. Different strokes. Aloha.

Hey stock gang. In South Africa, we call this sambals 😊 goes great with something else we call bobotie
Hello!! This is great to know. Thanks for teaching me something! 😊
In Mexico we call this 'pico de gallo' which translates to 'rooster beak' haha nice recipe! exactly how we do it
So great channel TH-cam,I like your video contents, so educational in Culinary.
How do you do🙏
I am putu from Bali.
Subtly covering up the woolies logo on the Olive oil haha I like it
Haha 😂 It’s good oil 😉
GARCIAS! MOJO!😊
Mate, I love you.
❤️❤️
in brazil this is what we call "vinagrete", the salad dressing is also called the same here as well, funny how languages work
When it’s uncooked like that it’s actually referred to as Pico de Gallo
Thanks for the "removing the core" tip :)

Also called Pico de Gallo.
It’s not exactly the same as a pico de gallo but it’s extremely close to it 😊
Really professional but those black gloves looked as horror movie 🤔
I use them to protect my hands, they’ve been through a lot haha
Also known as "Pebre" in chile.

Who wears gloves in the kitchen? Not a model for home cooking. Wash your hands and go for it, human.
