You need to understand where your older Italian gf is coming from. She made good points, she is older and came out much later in life. It hasn't been as easy for her in life as it was for you. It's very hard to be out, to a very conservative family, in a conservative country, and there's a drastic age difference on top of that too... you can't have everything you want from a partner. Sometimes you just have to compromise and accept things and people as they are. She's not hiding you, she's just trying to make both of your lives easier when it comes to dealing with family members that aren't always the most accepting.
They are coming out in China, Thailand and even Cambodia so I think it's time for people in Italy to stop pretending and start telling the truth!

There's something very soothing about the way you guys communicate with each other. Just hearing you guys talk sitting side by side while every once in a while P giving a shy smile(probably because she loves Sadie just that much that blushing never gets old or because she's still not much comfortable with the whole idea of talking her life out in a social media platform for people to watch or both) - it instantly calms me down. The way you talk about the issues with your family, relatives, coming out and specially the age gap- it feels really relatable,because my girl's about 16 yrs older than me. Thanks for representing the literally 'invisible' lesbian couples with age gap. It means a lot to me. Love for you both😘

It depends on how they define privacy. Privacy is a double-edged word. As long as what two persons share doesn't make them uncomfortable, it's not a privacy issue. I understand your point of view, because I won't always be comfortable sharing everything about my relationship to a public platform but that's my private concern. I believe, both Sadie and P are mature enough to know where to put the line when they are disclosing their private life. As long as they are okay with what they post, we shouldn't be having any problem with it.

Unfortunately, people never have the proper answer for this question and resort to explaining their religious views or start to behave more aggressively.

Guys stay strong! You will make it! Love is love! I personally think in life that if someone is important you should tell them those new important things about yourself if you're comfortable but it's your way of looking at it that is important. Just think about it, it would never help anyhow if you look at every human around you or every reaction very scared of what they might think. Sometimes I think it would be just vetter to look at what you love, what makes you strong, hold onto it, give strength and tjink of what I just wrote.. but like it's also important to acknowledge others boundaries... hope you're having a lovely rest of the holiday - Sadie: smile and don't lose hope. I know exactly how it feels when the person you're with presents you to people as her 'friend' yet the night before you were in bed together. Honestly it's not a nice feeling. My gf is closeted & comes from a Christian family (yes I know wtf was I thinking lol). We've been together for 3 yrs now (off & on). It's hard to be in a situation where you want to be the person but you have to put yourself through uncomfortable situations for them. I really wish you two the best ☺☺

Thanks for sharing. I can definitely relate to P. I just came out to my immediate family and close friends last year; I'm 47 yrs. now. I'm single at the moment, but I imagine it will be hard for me to introduce my girlfriend (when I get one, Lol) to the rest of my family as well especially since they still don't know I'm gay. Most of my relatives are very religious. Unfortunately, I do feel like I spent my whole life trying to uphold the "normal" standards. I absolutely regret trying to be anything other than the real me. You only get one life to live. I've finally learned to enjoy living my life...my way. P, you've found someone you love...and she loves you back. Enjoy the ride and ENJOY her! :o)

Part of loving someone is accomodating and understanding your partners situation and coping with it.. While its none of my concern I think its only fair especially since P has been doing this for so long shes also in a very different place than Sadie.. so i think its only fair to accomodate even though it may seem very hard. To be honest, as an Italian, deep down probably everybody was thinking "Wow, look, she is with a gorgeous and intelligent girl and she's starting a new life with her. What an incredibly brave woman!" However, tradition, religion and culture get in the way of those deep feelings and people might develop some sort of resentment towards you because they will never be as brave as you in this lifetime and they know it (I talk because of personal experiences). I've been out for a long time and I used to live in Italy, I remember that a lot of people (especially lesbians) begged me not to be honest about who I was because they were afraid that my behavior could have exposed them as well. I hate Italy for many reasons but the first reason is because of this masquerade, unfortunately I can't stand them anymore and I'm no longer willing to hide who I really am just to protect them and their fears. However, in my life, I've lived in many foreign countries so my way of thinking is totally different to most Italians and to be completely honest, I don't think as myself as Italian anymore; I'm just a human being fed up with a society built on lies! In 2014, I left Italy for good to embrace a life as a vegan nomad minimalist and I currently live in Cambodia. Life is simple and love is good if they can't handle it that's too bad but I'm no longer willing to be part of their sick game!

Sadie & P. I'm late late late to the party, I just found your channel. I think childish was the wrong word used from nelle, but I think I understand what she means. The thing is you were open and out early, in a time in history when its easier to be open and out, I'm not saying the world is perfect yet as regards to coming out, but it certainly is easier since there is so much more visual representation of LGBTQ lives.......... sorry if I forgot anyone, in the media, on TV, on social media, and here on youtube, so we are not as scary or misunderstood by people who are not like us. But P grew up in different times, when things were not so open and attitudes were very different. I guess childish isn't the word Sadie, you are just a product of these times, sometimes looking back and trying to imagine when it wasn't so easy can help with understanding.

Think about this case as your young girl are getting into a relationship with 50 year old women. Would you be happy about it and find that normal? That fool next to you will blame you in 10 years how you robbed her youth and destroyed her life. Now, you are a novelty and experienced woman who is teaching her pleasure. Even man and woman who are in straight relationship but have such an age gap blame later each other (usually the young one). Get out of this relationship ASAP for your own daughter's sake. You are setting up a bad example. She will also blame you if she follows your foot steps as well. If you think this is normal, why don't you take her into your bed as well for having threesom.
