ok...piece of advice sadie considering that i've been in a relationship for 16 years to a woman who's 13 years my senior (i'm 34 and she's 47)...what P needs is a constant reassurance that despite her age you love her for who she is and not for what she might physically become...and NEVER react that way when she's trying to state the obvious that shes old...just reassure her that you love her...and that you chose her among all the other young women out there...that you only want her...
to P...you know sadie is not the only young person in the world who gets attracted to an older woman...i did too and it's not because of a "motherly thing"...it's more on the level of maturity for us...because we think maturely we then need someone whose on the same page with us...who can relate to us and understand us...the nurturing characteristics of a mother i think only comes second...it's an added bonus for us...=)

I watch your videos and realize that in my relations is absolutely the same problem (in my girlfriends 'mind it is a problem). She finds our age-gap (22 and 42) as a totally crazy thing with the same reasons. In such moments I realize I LOVE every wrinkle, every scar and everything of her personality. How did you two find out your attraction was mutual? I can imagine that, in a complex situation like yours, you have to be really sure about mutual attraction before daring to admit it to the other. Can you make a video about what went on in your minds the moment your realised there was more then only friendship? Did you admit it right away to the other one or did you(or both) keep it to yourself because you weren't really sure wether the attraction was mutual? Can you give example of situations or signs, which made you realise the attraction was definitely mutual(body-language e.g)? And how and what happened the moment you two admitteded your feelings towards each other? Sorryyy so many question but I am just really curious about the "falling in love" until "actually admitting"-phase. I love you videos (and you two as a couple) since your situation, I think, is something many people can relate to, however is not really spoken about in public. Keep sharing your experiences! Totally, I would love to know. I swear I have the very same situation with an older woman at the moment, but it seems wrong to admit anything to each other because of our age gap (and she has children - not married). just seems like it could really backfire if my instincts are in fact off!

I'm a twenty six year old lesbian and have always been attracted to much older women (15yrs plus). I'm currently really attracted to a woman whose probably mid forties (unsure of her exact age) and this age gap has usually been normal for me.
I've never REALLY known why I like older women, other than that I feel that an older woman embodies the idea I have in my head when I think of the word "woman". The image I get in my head is someone who is older, mature, accomplished in some way, certain of self, independent, self capable. I am attracted to women, not girls - and I can't help but see females my age as girls, which I associate with children which evidently is very off putting.
But, when P asks "is it a mother thing" I think there is some credence to that despite that people usually get the wrong idea when you think that.
It being a mother thing doesn't mean I imagine this person to be my mother, or associate my own mother with this person, far from that. No I think the "mother" aspect comes from a feeling of security and safety in being with someone who can handle a situation (not that I can't). It's just a kind of instinctual feeling of being with someone who has that natural maternal warmth to them.
But, I dunno, could be different for other people. But generally with me the base line attraction is just the woman aspect - an older woman is not a girl.
I am with an older woman and I have had someone ask me that and I got creeped out by it 🤣🤣 I'm sure it was the way they worded it but I see what you're saying that people mean you want someone to take care of you.
The bottom line is , in all good relationships, regardless of age, your other half should be there for you and look after you when you need it, right?
For me, I like older women because they are mature,sure of themselves, tend to be less shallow than some of the younger generation, have life experience and tend to be more chill.
My better half is 10 years older and we never talk about our age difference or if we do it's never mentioned as an issue it's maybe something like " oh I don't remember than programme as I was out drinking at that age" 😅 or whatever.
It's never an issue to us.
This is amazing! I honestly didn't really know another person who is the same to me in a way. I've always have been attracted to women older than me. I just find them to be more intriguing than girls my age, and more matured. My friends always wonder why and ask me questions on how I can find someone "old" attractive. To me, women with age are beautiful. Once you get to know them, they become ageless creatures. They're fascinating, wonderful, great, amazing, and so on! I know this is weird, but to me each wrinkle a women gets, another story they have been through. If that makes sense. I get to hear what they've been through and how their story started, after hearing it all, the one thing I just want to do is be apart of their happy ending.

I can tell that you both really try to see each other. Like, really try to know each other. I'm in my 30s and I'm struggling to find this even in my friendships. Women in their 30s still seem self centered, everything still revolves around the ego. Also P to answer your question about the age gap thing. Me and Sadie relate in our experiences/feelings. People who don't have mother issues can be like that too. It's called Teleiophilia. I'm a Teleiophile Homosexual Monagomist. A whole description of being a teleiophile - I'm an individual who has always been sexually/emotionally attracted to mature adults my whole life and will continue to be. Only an issue if you're a minor.
I should also add teleiophile can be generally used to describe an adult attracted to an adult but also is used to describe a minor with attractions to an adult. Minors that age up still have an attraction with the same age group. It becomes less noticeable as we get older ourselves. Also another term in sexology called "Gynephilia (or gynophilia or gynaecophilia) (From Greek gunē, "women," + -philia, "love") is the erotic attraction to adult females and/or femininity" so that can also describe that.

Eron 1 I get that but I'm thinking, what about the couples who are closer in age but one becomes sick, has a disability or injury that makes them less independent and maybe even a shorter life span despite age. I don't want to compare their relationship to something unfortunate but age or not there are relationships where one becomes a "caretaker" but they wouldn't consider themselves a caretaker just that they love that person until death do them part.
