It seems to me, that P. and her daughter have very different personalities. Sadie somehow seems to be closer (and more "fit") to P. in character than Artemisia, although all three being rather different. It's not the case when, "like mother, like daughter". Sadie is like a "philosopher", P. is like an "open/young soul" (not tired of life, luckily) and Artemisia is like into shopping, fashion and an expensive lifestyle.
I agree with you but you also have to consider that A. Ist just 15/16 years old. I'm pretty sure she hasn't such a settled personality like an adult yet, even though she seems pretty mature

Artemisia can come off as harsh, but I feel like it's a defense mechanism? She's a polar opposite from her mother; not entirely sure if that's a good thing. She's pretty, I just hope she doesn't allow her looks to get the best of her. I hope she always isn't that mean to her mom, P is such a genuine and kind soul.

Omg i simply relate to u sadie and P alot as i am in relationship with somebody (female) who is 17 yrs older but i dont feel gap at all...but sometimes it hits back too real hard. But apart from this Arte your damn pretty and stylish and dream girl!
