The wild one in my opinion is the State against Trevor's parents, is inane having actual footage and evidence that show the neighbor and their parents tried many times to keep Trevor on check and asked help of the police that refused to act and take it seriously, is basically trying to absolve the police department of wrong doing and pin all fault into Trevor's family.

McSkillet was genuinely one of the kindest people you could ever meet or talk to, which makes what happened even more difficult to comprehend. @HeyPhantom4 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +41

the point the cop says he doesn't want to start something physical with the kid and have 10 other cops show up, is something to go after. as you said the bare minimum, the cops made up their minds that they didn't want to help and this shouldn't be their problem. in hindsight it all seems so easy to solve from that situation though. if only the cops did just go to his room, ruffle some feathers and have him arrested, while in custody they would've have him eventually seen by some sort of mental professional and one thing leads to another of him getting help. But ya to sum it all up, the cops were almost at their wits end in that situation.

This video really touched me. I lost a friend, basically 2, at 17 due to reckless driving. Although, my friend was not manic. There was no reason for his behavior, he was just a young dumb teenager who had fun driving fast. I was supposed to be in the car with him that day. Me and 2 buddies planned to go to a lake/dam to hike and have a good day. I woke up late, they had left my street 15 minutes before I woke up. The passenger in the car was my friend that is my next door neighbor I've known since I was 4 years old. He told me they had already driven to far, and couldn't turn around to come get me. I often think about those extra 15 minutes of sleep.
About 2 hours later, my father came home from work and opened my door while I was doing math homework. He asked me if I knew so and so's name, I said yes. My father was a California Highway patrol officer. He told me, "so and so is dead, he lost control of his car going 130mph on the shoulder on the 65 and crashed into the exit sign, looking like a double fatal but the passenger is unrecognizable from his injuries". The crash was originally being reported over the highway patrol comms as a double fatal. My dads partner was the one working the scene, transporting my neighbor into the ambulance that ultimately saved his life. The driver died and was decapitated on impact. My neighbor in the passenger seat, was the only seat in the car that had a chance at survival due to how the car was launched into the pole after taking out near 300 feet of guard rail. So if I was there that day, I'd be dead, or my neighbor would be dead. Who knows what seat who would've been in.
He was so messed up from the crash, and all of his belongings being ejected and lost on impact. He was a John Doe. I was the only person capable of explaining how I knew it was him. I had to go to the hospital and ID him for the police and was the one who had to go tell his family that their son was in a coma in critical condition. That was one of the hardest days of my life.
My neighbor broke just about everything in his body, was scalped, had to get it re-stitched on in surgery, and spent 3 months in a coma and 8 in a rehab facility. He's physically full recovered, walks fine like it never happened. But mentally he's never been the same, it reset his mental capacity to that of a child in elementary school.

When we got to my house, I grilled his ass for driving like an idiot and to never do that again with me in his car. He was super understanding and apologized and said he wouldnt. He stayed true to that word, he never drove like that when I was with him again.
I often think maybe if I woke up on time and was there, he wouldn't of been driving like that and my friend wouldn't be mentally handicapped for the rest of his life.

A friend of mine was harassed, molested and threatened online, went to the police, nothing happened.
I was very suicidal and went to a clinical therapist, who worked at a psychiatric facility. He didn't listen to me at all, I had to repeat things I just told him. When the session was over, he told me how worried he was about my safety on my way home, even diagnosed me with severe depression, and then did NOTHING. Absolutely nothing, even though he was well aware that I needed to take a train home, and that there was a very busy road on the way to the train station. I am so glad that I didn't throw myself in front of a train or car. Wasn't far away from doing that, especially after such a disappointing therapy session.
Two years ago, my friend took her own life, after being harassed, molested, and threatened online, after she went to the police with it and exposed the people who had harassed her, but the police did NOTHING, and it kept happening, to the point where she couldn't take it anymore, and on June 14th, 2022, took her own life. The guy made me spent all my money on skins without eating and drinking 😂😂 September 2018 I sold all my inventory to buy cryptocurrency after his passing because I lost my will to keep my inventory. The inventory I sold worth 10K+ dollars rn and it shows that he was the visionary of the community. This video reminded me of those nostalgic times where I geniunely felt excited about his videos and his replies to me. not trying to defend the cops but they were kind of correct at least with what they were explaining to trevor's parents. just because he said he went fast in his car doesnt mean anything, and unless his parents could show credible threats of violence , the police cant really do much. Trevor needed to be diagnosed or at least evaluated by a professional who says he DOES in fact suffer from a mental health disorder. then whatever trevor tells that person can be used as justification for the 5150. simply having a neighbor give their opinion unfortunately doesnt hold up if trevor decided to sue the state for violating his rights. being involuntarily committed to a mental facility is a HUGE deal and isnt to be taken lightly, that's why there are criteria that need to be met (as stated by the cop on scene with trevor's parents).
the cops DID NOT "refuse to help", they told the parents what needed to happen for them to essentially arrest their son for having a manic episode. what if a bunch of people around you gaslit you into thinking you were crazy then threw you in mental health jail? thats why he needed a PROFESSIONAL evaluation and a mental illness DIAGNOSIS for the police to commit him. anyone who says the cops werent doing their jobs have ZERO idea how huge of a deal it is to 5150 someone, including you

One of my best friends is chronically maniac. He is one of the smartest and good hearted people in the world. Everytime he gets a maniac episode I fear for his life. Common sense doesn´t exist when somebody is having a manic episode. He once jumped down a dam (which should have definitly killed him) because the swirls in the water were matching his shirt.
It usually takes months of very heavy medication to bring his mind back to where it was but I always try to show him, that I dont like him less when he is on hard medication and therefor talking and thinking slow.
If McSkillet had an episode, the police would have registered that right away if only they would have gone and talked to him... I think that the police werent in the wrong individually. In my opinion psychological behaviours like that should be looked at way more intensely during police training, so that officers have a better view on what might be going on. @Hqzza 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +58

Im going to give my 2 Cents here about this topic.
Men in General are extremely susceptible to mental health disorders between 17-20.
McSkillet from a late teen was in some HEAVY and HIGH stress situations with money he was earning Millions, Juggling drama, Bans, Scrutiny and overall limelight public opinions.
From his old videos he seemed extremely calm and pretty level headed for a late teen doing what he was doing but as the male brain progresses and develops if you are going through high stress situations you can induce Schizo/Manic behaviors as I myself from the age of 17-19 Had a serious mental health decline and was pretty much bat shit crazy driving my cars fast thinking i was essentially invincible and ironically this whole Brain thing with men around that age is why the U.S and the UK and many other countires recruit young men to go fight because they have a lack of understanding about death it doesnt really compute with the young brain of a male so they are more likely to go BATSHIT in any situation putting them close to death because it doesnt scare them.
McSkillet was unwell BUT it wasnt a slow progressive like something he had dealt with for years this was Sudden and a Rapid increase in Manic behavior and that in itself is the most dangerous part about being a young Male because the flood of hormones and new emotions literally and figuratively shut down who you once were and take over a shadow form of yourself and you do stupid shit that the normal version of themselves wouldnt even consider to be an option...
Unfortunately this case is a sad one because we all knew Trevor but its a sad and highly common case among-st young men and its not something people really talk about.
Family gets harder because you alienate yourself, Work gets insufferable because you are losing your mind and want to literally go to war with everyone 24/7. And girlfriends/boyfriends (If you are gay etc) Become challenging because of the fact the brain is changing you can very easily scare away anyone that cares for you because of how much of a danger to society you could and or CAN be.
The world is too pressurized for young people now to compete with the elders to survive it is too competitive for someone at a young age to try and grasp. unless you have help it can get extremely daunting and turn someone into a mental case because its too much to handle for a young developing mind.
    God save the young Men.
    God save the young Women.

In May of last year, I experienced my first manic/psychotic episode. I wasn't in a good mental space due to job and family loss. One morning, I took my car out, convinced that Russian spies were following me. I sped up to 100 km/h and caused a massive crash involving a car and a tree. Thankfully, no one was killed, but I sustained major injuries to my knee and head. The police and my family were confused, and after I returned home from the hospital, I was sectioned under the Mental Health Act, diagnosed with schizophrenia, and put on antipsychotics. It's clear that McSkillet also went through a psychotic episode, tragically resulting in the deaths of two innocent people. I went through something similar, but thankfully, no one died. When I drove that day, I didn’t intend to crash or hurt anyone; I genuinely believed my life was in danger, which led to the accident. I don’t think Trevor intended to kill anyone either, but his delusions, like believing he was invincible, show he was experiencing a similar episode. The brain can make you believe things that aren’t real under severe stress.
