    Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors has reportedly suffered a right lower leg injury and there are some reports that it could be a serious injury for the NBA star just coming off of an ACL injury. In this video I'm going to react to this shocking NBA news and review some of the main anatomy and differentials for what to consider with this type of injury. I'll also review what I would do if I was there to evaluate Klay Thompson after the injury. On the night the NBA draft should have top priority, the Warriors can't help but be concerned about next season and the health of Klay Thompson.

      @DG_ ArmyYT his defense, his second most valuable trait, will be wrecked. Although he will always be effective as a shooter, his ability defend to will be severely affected. His ability to move off the ball will also be affected. He will become a basic stand in the corner shooter if it’s in fact his Achilles’ tendon.

    This is not normal. Earlier players also sufferd torn ACL and other injuries, but the rate it happens now should be of grave concern. Maybe too much games. Don't blame players who practice load management, they know smt we don't

    Unless Klay is superhuman, these last two injuries killed him. An ACL in one leg and an Achilles in the other. Tuff to see a great player go out like this.

    To me this sounds like its on the medical staff... Sounds like they paid too much attention to his injured knee but did not focus on the whole body. I pray for a strong recovery for Klay!
    You mention it at the end! I agree with you. Great video and very educational!

      @Endless_Waltz He had basically a year and a half where he didn't play a single game. Completely unheard of amount of time for a professional athlete to rest/recover. This injury has absolutely nothing to do with going to the finals.

      @dajayjayzee 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I get where you're coming from, but this injury likely has nothing to do his finals' run. It's more likely a compensatory injury as a result of the initial ACL tear...which was a freak injury in its own right

    That's why you always use crutches if you injured one foot so you don't over compensate the other leg/foot.
    His trainer and doctor/specialist should be able to determine this.

    I heard it is because he was putting to much force on his right leg because he didn’t want to injure his left leg again. Same thing happen to my dad. When he tore his acl

    I could see this hurting Klay because he was not the quickest player to begin with, so he will have to work that much harder to get open and maybe hurt the floor spacing slightly because of it. I would be worried he won’t be able to play defense as effectively either because of lack of athleticism trying to run around screens and stay on a faster player.

    Good thing is that Klay is a sharp shooter. Wall, Cousins, and Kobe games were all based on movement and skill with the ball in their hands. Klay can easily turn into a spot up shooter, after all, he did score like 40 points after only dribbling 6 times. He’ll be fine if it’s an Achilles injury.

    • @anthonydunkley7844
      @anthonydunkley7844 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Um... no, the achilles is very important when it comes to explosive sharp cuts to get open for outside shots, so he could be a step slower creating space between himself and his defender.
      Achilles is very important even for a non athletic player

      🙄 yea I know
      He wasn’t that fast to begin with, he’ll be fine as a spot up shooter like I said.
      Kobe, Cousins, and Wall games are built off “explosiveness”....Klay Thompson’s game was never ever built off explosiveness...he will be fine.

      Watch this 60 point performance and tell me he can’t drop 40 with a reconstructed achilles. Other than the few times he SLOWLY cuts to the basket. He is shooting with ease...OR pump faking-side stepping - then shooting with ease. Trust me...he will be fine. He can pump fake himself open or just draining in their grills because he’s Klay f%*€#%! Thompson lol.
