I know the feeling, torn mine b-ballin and I thought dude going up against me to get rebound kicked me! I got up limping and I knew it was a wrap. I had an hour drive home driving a stick shift! Doctor knew quickly by having me lay on stomach and try point my toes. I couldn't! It's worse than breaking your leg. I was helpless for months, you never forget that feeling of tearing your Achilles. You will fear tearing it again for many years doing almost any activity. I tore mine around the same time Kobe did and didn't know anyone else that had until I went back to work month later and a coworker showed me he tore both of his! Hoping Professor a speedy recovery! A long road but it is a big part of Professor's livelihood so I know he'll be back at it!
Professor, I have been following you for years. I know what you are going through. I'm a Soldier and tore my right Achilles at age 40 on the court. You can comeback from this! It takes hard work and you are the man to do it! I was back on the court, not full strength, at 11 months. The biggest thing for me was the fear of hearing that pop again, sounded like a shotgun, lol. Its been almost 6 years since my injury and I honestly have forgotten it happened. I play 4 to 5 times a week with no ill affects. You got this brother! Stay strong.
@Kingston Vuong also recovery time the less you rest in between games the more prone to an injury you are ,yea hopefully he can come back and still do his moves.

Amazing how that doctor probably grew up watching Professor during his And 1 days and now is the one fixing his achilles. Seems like a super nice guy too. Best of luck with the recovery Professor and wishing you a speedy/full recovery.
just got my achilles surgery yesterday man... thank you for these videos, i asked similar questions and the surgery was a success... road to recovery starts now

+++ Demon attack son! There are more things invisible than visible but people don't know or understand that because they can't see it. Professor felt like he was kicked or someone threw a ball at him but the video shows otherwise. Don't dismiss demons just because you don't believe in God. This stuff is real. I wish you well Professor from one Professor to another.
Professor Yancy You’re focusing on the negative, and I’d say that’s a bad thing. You could be right, but you also could be wrong. Who’s to say this isn’t God’s way of challenging the Professor? God has his unique ways of teaching lessons that end up leading to people not seeing his blessings. Point being; you will never know the absolute truth. Why not pick to align with a truth that bases itself off of positivity?
Isaac HAUZEL I’m glad to hear it. Don’t let anyone convince you God isn’t real or that the things I said aren’t true. A year ago I was an atheist, and it took me a lot of time and effort to truly come to understand God (to the best of my ability, at least). You understand God, don’t let anyone take that from you.
praying for ur speedy recovery dont rush it theres still plenty of basketball is waiting for u ... dont ever get into depression always remember we all waiting for u to comeback. . wishes u good health n fast recovery from the phillipines.
Does an injury like this imply that there was previous stress/weakening/partial tearing prior to the "full tear" incident? I'm not an expert at all, but I'm fascinated that an achilles can go from completely strong and intact, to completely torn so suddenly, without any external impact or ankle roll. Sending prayers your way Professor, you are a pro and you'll heal up better than anybody else could, stay strong!
I think so. There's a high likelihood he had somehow compromised his tendon over time. I tore a tendon on my foot (ATFL tear) without even twisting it. It just snapped one day when I attempted to drive on someone (basically the point where you push off with your foot). I want to note that if you watch the video where Professor got injured you'll notice that at least twice he was walking gingerly. I think one of the players got underneath him on at least one play. This may have been the straw that broke the camel's back.
In most cases it does. I had achilles tendonitis for 2-3 years and i never got it checked out then one day it just went out completely, fully ruptured. The majority of cases r of middle aged males around the age of 30-40. In this case the tendon must have been worn down from so much playing time. If you play like the professor has for so long itll start to wear down your tendon.
I went back and rewatched the previous video. You can almost see when he tweaks it. He starts shaking his leg a little. It did affect his explosiveness. Then when he went to drive, it fully ruptured.
As someone who was torn they’re Achilles this is true, I tore mine by running in cross country, I was running a 6 minute 12 second mile and now I’m running 7 minutes:(
MagicMikeAKAMdot As soon as I saw the clip I knew it was a torn Achilles. Obviously you need a doctor to diagnose, but when an athlete goes down like that exploding forward from a standstill without laterally twisting it’s most likely an Achilles rupture. Shame it happened to him, probably the hardest connective tissue injury to come back from. Prayers that he makes as close to a full recovery as possible.
Only the professor could break his own ankles.. The human body is a miracle and I too doubted my own recovery but just keep moving forward and it will happen!
есть разрыв в его acl, есть промежуток в дюйм между задней частью стопы, с воспалением. вероятно, есть орфографические ошибки, потому что я использую переводчик Google, потому что я не говорю по-русски
Putting up prayers brother, you’ve brought so much to basketball whether you’re playing or just sharing your knowledge, hope the best for you and your family 💯
Man i feel you... I got shot twice; one in the leg the other on my stomach, they saved me in the hospital but my body will never be the same again. I now have a leftover chronic trombosis and a left leg paralysis... my playing days are over and ive just turned 25. Dealing with it mentally is the hardest part. I really want to make just one last step back 3 but damn thats gone Get well soon Brother im sure you will adapt your game to the speed of your body. GL
The Professor is a man of Faith. The Lord will show him the way to recovery. The Professor will return as good as new and set a new standard of recovery for this type of injury. Wait, watch, and be patient. The healing is beginning....walk with God.
It’s interesting to see the professor in this vulnerable state since we are all so used to seeing him in his natural athletic form doing his thing. It’s humbling to think about how even with all the skill and practice in the world, we are all just one misstep away from a bad injury like this.
Sending prayers your way for a speedy recovery brother you know god will never give you anything you can’t handle and this is only another stepping stone in your journey god bless and come back strong!
“Always basketball” got that same speech when I almost blew out my Achilles last year. Luckily I stopped right before it snapped took 6 months of no hooping to come back. You will be back just takes time
When it happened I knew that you had torn it. I tore mine as well. After 6 months of recovery and therapy. It’s still not the same. Not as explosive as I once was. But Im working everyday to stretch the tendon and work it out to make it stronger and stronger. Praying for you man. Praying for healing and recovery. You are a hard worker so I know you’ll be diligent and committed to come back strong. You got this!
I'm really devastated because my childhood inspiration is now getting through this painful experience but I believe that he would be better than ever even though the doctor said the players that experienced this kind of injury wont be the same. With God nothing is impossible maybe the professor won't be the same but the changes will be better not worst. If we believe and we pray we can bring back professor!😊🇵🇭
Psalms says, “the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord.” I read somewhere awhile ago that so are the stops! Prayers for strong healing and good recovery! Also for clarity of your thoughts and mind as you begin this journey of recovery and decision of the road ahead!
If there's anyone who can come back stronger after achilles, it's Professor.
God speed recovery.

Bro I know nothing medical at all but when I saw the injury when it first happened I was like uh oh torn Achilles
Samuel Jones Gaming, several NBA players that have torn their Achilles said it felt like they had been kicked very hard in the back of the leg.
Like so he sees this
Respect
Honestly, this breaks my heart..
He loves the game, the doc saying Kobe wasn't the same. It hurts me. (I hope the best bro)
Doctor says he's got a full tear
Professor: "Sounds good man"
All i can say is that it sucks getting old. Things break n things hurt for no damn reason at all. Get well soon prof
Age is a factor but It’s mostly one wrong step, one wrong land, and one wrong move.
Kingston Vuong you’re bound to make that one wrong step at some point
I think it has nothing to do with age. I tore my achilles when I was still 19 yo 😂😅
@Kingston Vuong also recovery time the less you rest in between games the more prone to an injury you are ,yea hopefully he can come back and still do his moves.
How old is he?
2020 has been SO hard for so many people. You have the world praying for you brother. Lord willing you will Dominate again!!
So you're saying that your gods allowed this evil to happen?! You AND your gods are SICK.

I immediately thought, that looks like an Achilles injury.
Yea I watched Kobe live when he got injured, as well as Kevin Durant, both looked back to see who kicked em
Easiest sports injury to diagnose..

true, it's when they're about to do an explosive move, just like kobe's achilles tear injury.

Get well soon man, God put you through this so that you would be stronger than ever. God bless you and goodluck for your surgeries!
He was the only person who can break his own ankles he was always be a legend
Amazing how that doctor probably grew up watching Professor during his And 1 days and now is the one fixing his achilles. Seems like a super nice guy too. Best of luck with the recovery Professor and wishing you a speedy/full recovery.
just got my achilles surgery yesterday man... thank you for these videos, i asked similar questions and the surgery was a success... road to recovery starts now

I love how close you are to god. And you’re not afraid to show it. In Jesus Name you heal quick and steady. Love you bro.
@@eliecermesa4826 I agree 🙌🙌

Isaac HAUZEL I’m glad to hear it. Don’t let anyone convince you God isn’t real or that the things I said aren’t true.
Please replay to this
you can see that he played alot slower and seemed in pain befor it happend. he might have felt it coming
Everybody says the same thing every time they tear their Achilles, "it felt like somebody kicked me"
Dude frl kd said it and kobe said it
As someone who was torn they’re Achilles this is true, I tore mine by running in cross country, I was running a 6 minute 12 second mile and now I’m running 7 minutes:(
Its really sad that they couldn’t diagnose it in Miami it’s really easy to spot Demarcus cousins same exact thing happened
I thought someone landed on my leg 🦵 🤔. Achilles tear sucked. Stay up on your physical therapy.
You’re a legend professor, keep your head up everyone knows you’re a boss.
The Professor would want you to see this!

I really want to make just one last step back 3 but damn thats gone
Get well soon Brother im sure you will adapt your game to the speed of your body. GL

Yes there is life without sports but i wasnt expetcing it so early. Thanks for good wishes i hope your injurys are minor and quick
You could tell that surgeon emotionally invested himself in Grayson and genuinely cared about his future goals for recovery. That's what you need.
The Professor is a man of Faith. The Lord will show him the way to recovery. The Professor will return as good as new and set a new standard of recovery for this type of injury. Wait, watch, and be patient. The healing is beginning....walk with God.
He is going to have to learn how to do his moves without putting stress on that heel
🙏🏼
It’s interesting to see the professor in this vulnerable state since we are all so used to seeing him in his natural athletic form doing his thing. It’s humbling to think about how even with all the skill and practice in the world, we are all just one misstep away from a bad injury like this.
Anyone else get scared when the nurse said “always basketball”

When it happened I knew that you had torn it. I tore mine as well. After 6 months of recovery and therapy. It’s still not the same. Not as explosive as I once was. But Im working everyday to stretch the tendon and work it out to make it stronger and stronger.

@GoMeBah99 wtf nobody thought that
I'm really devastated because my childhood inspiration is now getting through this painful experience but I believe that he would be better than ever even though the doctor said the players that experienced this kind of injury wont be the same. With God nothing is impossible maybe the professor won't be the same but the changes will be better not worst. If we believe and we pray we can bring back professor!😊🇵🇭
