Fishing spinners on Extra ultra-light gear - catching perch and a sad ending

Just a short outing to the canal to try how the extra ultra-light setup handles some small spinners. I try a super vibrax in size one and is rewarded with some beutiful perch who all put up really good fights on the light gear. I definetly recomend trying this type of rod if you're already a fan of ultra-light fishing for any species like trout, bass, crappie, bluegill or perch.
I talk about switching to single hooks - even if I've debarbed the stock trebles and unfortunately I can show you why in the end. One perch got hurt by the trebles and I really hope it makes it. One shouldn't be blind to the fact that catch and release will hurt a percentage of the catch but we can always strive to be better. I'm very open to discuss this in the comments if anyone has any thoughts they want to share?
