Unfortunately I couldn't show the entire match, but I think this shows off just how effective the Zaku II really can be. It's a very strong dive unit, I'd argue stronger than Barbatos and Exia in the right hands. Very strong engage tools with its floaty dash, very strong escape tools with the smoke grenade, and RIDICULOUS damage with the machine gun up close. I'll be uploading more of this as honestly it's my favorite mobile suit right now. - เกม

This Game looks so fun. Only thing missing is a sense of scale, from the battle suits to the maps surrounding them. I imagine some little people running through the corners or something to indicate size.
I love the formula here "unreal tournament, but it's gundams" but you're right. If you didn't know anything about gundam or mechs in general you'd assume these things are just power suits like halo or doom.
omg i just noticed i knew this game was too good to be true
it would slow the game down a lot more if they did do this, but i think it lacks a sense of weight too everything is too floaty

or they could just have an animation during loading at the start of the match where the relevant pilot character (Amuro for RX-78-01, Char for Sazabi, etc) gets into the mobile suit. Its honestly super weird that they don't tbh, hopefully they will for the release version.
Would be pretty funny if there was a pilot health bar that's affected by how many G forces you're consistently putting onto yourself by dashing all over the place

i just encountered a Zaku player yesterday who was dashing around like a madlad and fighting off 3 of us on his own.
he truly mastered the zaku and made char proud. dashing and making good use of the smoke is really the key to playing this suit. hit and run baby.

the difficulty to handle this suit in the game is actually the hardest it got 4 stars in the game meaning the suit is one of the highest difficulty to handle, it has low health, fast speed(3 dashes) definitely need a fast hand to handle this zaku for sure, im confident this guy is char aznable grandson

These are giant mechs with thick armor and carry heavy weapons.
They teleport dodge around like Goku.
The Zaku is my all time favorite mobile suit so this brings me great joy.

My favorite thing about playing the Zaku are the duels. Zaku duels are always fun and frequently hilarious: that moment when you’re both reloading at the same time, just staring at each other
I had a duel with a very good zaku pilot last night. I was in a pale rider and we just couldn't kill each other. We prob fought and disengaged to re-engage like 4 times before I finally lost . Was too much fun to care about the L.
This game is starting to look like titanfall, TWFC and overwatch mixed into one and I love it

Zaku Exia and Barabtos are the only ones that fulfill the gundam power fantasy for me. When you start feeling it in any of them you become newtype.

I wouldn't be shocked if they added a ZAKU Warrior skin, though. And there will probably be a Rick Dom skin for the DOM Trooper, too.
@@JackgarPrime i could see it for some of them as the doms aren't too different, but zaku warriors are normally mounted with beam weapons not ballistic or heat, not that evolution cares about actual loadouts i guess.. ex: armor gun, jump pad, guntank still working with an exploded core fighter

I feel like you got REALLY lucky in a couple of places, but otherwise that was SOLID. It's so great when someone takes a character with unintuitive mechanics and really gets the most out of them. One thing I wish they'd buff though is the magazine size, it feels like that thing always ran out on me right before I was about to finish someone off and then I'd have to dash out. The rest of its kit though is the perfect hit and run skirmisher, they really nailed the spirit of the Zaku of this with this game. I can't wait for the full game to come out so I can "GIT GUD" with the Zaku II.
This model of the machine gun is the 90mm and is said to have 32 rounds. I guess they did 30 just to make it smooth? It'd be nice to be able to pick your armaments for mobile suits like the zaku that saw extensive service and such
@@justinkedgetor5949 It had 32 rounds in the Beta, no idea why they reduced it to 30 for release. Zaku is definitely not a suit that overperforms.
@@vahlen5281 yeah it's Suppose to have the 32 round according to the Gundam wiki assuming it is the 105mm MG which I'm super confident it is. Zaku had a lot of weapon platforms so it can be a little confusing.
I kinda wish there were modes or missions where you play some of the iconic scenes or episode in gundam like battle of jaburo or a baoa qu. battle against mobile armor like in ibo.

I love that When you pick the Zaku mech there is no fancy intro or anything its just it getting up looks around with its eye and gets ready truly a soldier
This things a beast, got 55 kills and 51k dmg on my 5th game with it, def going to main it
its my favorite ms in the beta, only i played him, a good combo its enter with your ULT, turn and kill the stunned and get out with E and dashes.
The better combo is to open by spraying your machine gun, dash/ulti to close distance get behind him, turn and kill. The ultimate reloads your weapon automatically!
A good example of it is at 4:10
@@gghabes4643 did not know this! I think smoke should auto reload as well, maybe even with an increased cool down, because let's face it the cracker is fucking useless
The Ez8 Gundam would be a great addition to the rooster. Also, great Zaku gameplay.
Man the way you would use one magazine and then boost around the target to reload was sick your movement's are superior !

I think there's a place for both. The MS act more like giant hulking mechs in GBO2 and the current selection of MS is incredible, but sometimes you just want to say fuck it to the logic and run around as a Sazabi with the speed of a human lol.
That is an extremely satisfying reload animation.

Always love how zaku 2 were so under the radar in the gundam series but if you look closer the load out and the tactics that are open to them are a huge threat

@@alwest4472 that's a good point! The Gundam was originally built just to counteract the superiority of the Zaku
It's kind of like how Methuss is notoriously average in the anime, but in GBO2 it was god-tier for a while and is still amazing.
And its somehow in this game before the Mk-II, Hyaku Shiki, or even freaking Zeta...man someone at Bamco really has a soft spot for Fa's ride.

Ngl if they took out the AU mobile suits and focus on U.C wifh add in more grunt units like gm II, jegans, zakus III, dreissen and such with special combat modes like federation vs zeon this might grab more ppl attention.
Imagine if somehow they have a full scale Torrington base map from Gundam unicorn. A full out battle between federation suits and zeon suits on eliminate, sabotage and capture missions.

For $&@?s sake Gundam g reco story was a mess, no one really wanted lord of it but somehow that damn thing got funding to make 5 damn films to alter it due to tomino is the one doing it. Hell I want Gundam moon to get an actual anime but instead it got bs into a mobile game so hey even us U.C fans got screwed bit too.
Plus U.C got a whole bunch of variety mobile suits that even if you combine all AU suits it’s still not enough for past U.C. It is where money is and majority of the fanbase know more of from shows, games, manga, light novels that majority of AU don’t got besides seed from my knowledge. Even then seed isn’t enough.
Will add: at least be glad witch of mercury is supposedly AU. Unless knowing sunrise they pull a middle finger on that side of the fanbase abs say WoM is set in far future of UC but even u.c fans don’t want that since they want them to focus around U.C 0079 to 0095.

Can wait to play the game. With that said why is the area made made to fit mechs. It should be small buildings and mountains with giant robots but instead it's like the robots are human size.

It was made that way for better gameplay, but the enviorment could be more convincing with like some tiny trees and buildings cars etc, id guess it is too late in development that that enviormental desighn probably wouldn't be changed? But the game looks fun af what is the official release title? Id like to play it

i think the environments could use some touchups, probably some roads, tiretracks, other human-scaled details like parked/hastily abandoned trucks to help reinforce the size of the mechs.
Barbatos looks cool.
If they add the Gouf Custom I'm all in on this game.
Now we just need to turn this game into VR with a full immersive Gundam like cockpit, becoming fully mobile and maneuverable with anime style action. Capable of dual weilding a gun and a laser sword at the same time, with land, air, sea and outer space maps to battle on..

Still think it needs a small buff, reload during smoke or make the cracker granade actually stun like it says, or have a bigger aoe, ult is also mid af, make or single target high damage or stun for long enough to turn around and actually shoot anyone
