So when char accelerates, he's thrown back by g-forces and jerks his controls so his zaku starts spinning. When he manages to fight back the g-forces, you can see him adjust his controls to straighten out his flight and stop the spin. I don't know why they made it that way, but it was totally worth seeing the light dance across the zaku's cockpit.
It's because Char is going triple the average speed and his mobile suit is screaming that he's crazy. Imagine going triple the speed limit. I bet your car would yell at you that it doesn't want to die.
modern aircraft are fly by wire, they automatically balance themselves and impose limiters to avoid damage and dangerous movement. the reason he when into a spin is because he disable the normal law of the unit to have manual control. else the computer will automatically limit the G and rotation within the unit flight envelope.

As classical hubris, in the ancient Greek definition, he feels in that moment like he possesses power to surpass the gods, only the Gundam, and Amuro's rapidly growing skills and Newtype abilities give him the humble pie that makes him the character he is in the original series. But what would happen to someone who wasn't given that lesson so soon? who continued on with their Hubris to the very end. He started out superior so very little could improve until he saw the inner depth of Lalah and it's corresponding to his father's postualtion about those who can open a world of understanding without misconception. Char also saw it reflecting in the rapidly maturing nature of Amuro and then in himself as he gained his first Newtype flash. A flash of suden insight during the Jaburo clash where it saved his life from Amuro who had grown too powerful for him at that point. It can be argued that this retcon ova series shows Char having his first Newtype flash of intuition as he saved Lala from the little indian assassins. That was not his power, it was Lalah forcing her psyche into his, granting him extra awareness of what he just let slip past his attention as it almost cost him his life.

Gundam Origin is such a perfect prequel. Not just that it is a great show/ova on its own rights, but also it fits so perfectly in the original story, gives the world more political/ideological depth and contributes to the details and worldbuilding all while still being a true 'prequel' and nothing more than that. I have never seen any other prequel does it's job as perfectly as Gungdam origins. Fate Zero is a fantastic story that comes to mind, but as a prequel it's not comparable to what Gundam Origins does for the UC. Plus Fate Zero kinda overwhelm the main series

How fast is he going? 350+ meters per second? Dude is redlining the fuck out of his machine and his own body, it's crazy. You see the battle and it's clearly hundreds or even thousands of miles away, and within seconds he's there, in the midst of the fed fleet.
His dive reminds me of a near cliché WW2 bomber formation run in a movie. Seen on arcade top down scrolling games like The intro of Strikers 1945 and the strafing shots on the Raiden Fighters 2 Operation Hell Dive intro.
This series shows the Zaku II in testing ohase, where the max G was displayed at 13(the test pilot didn't pull it). The limiters Char disengages in this scene allow im to go from 80% to the full 100% of that 13 G limit. I believe only one Russian guy was ablento pull similar lebels for moments at a time. Most harnesses allow more or less ordinary people to handle 5G but Char is 3X better so I am honna say his 13G was actually 15G because he might have modified the Zaku further after the initial installation of the limiter bypass system. I am suspecting he can handle something like 24 G burns for moments at a time but the Zaku II of this series can't pull that off and the wikipedia will tell you lies when you observe the original series with how he magically blurs in and out of sight like he was a DBZ character.

@@reyhanpradhan5760 I consider the Hyaku Shiki a Gundam because most of the specs are comparable to Gundams of its time, and it was also a sister development of the Zeta Gundam. A lot of the EU and games also consider it a “gundam-type”. With this in mind it appears the MS is a Gundam is most regards except for its name.

Gundam Origin is such a perfect prequel. Not just that it is a great show/ova on its own rights, but also it fits so perfectly in the original story, gives the world more political/ideological depth and contributes to the details and worldbuilding all while still being a true 'prequel' and nothing more than that. I have never seen any other prequel does it's job as perfectly as Gungdam origins.
Fate Zero is a fantastic story that comes to mind, but as a prequel it's not comparable to what Gundam Origins does for the UC. Plus Fate Zero kinda overwhelm the main series
Fate zero is a shameful "what if" fanfic that was basically relegated to it's own timeline by Nasu and urobutchi, it's not a prequel to FSN

lmao, both Origin and F/Z are bad fanfics written by author's friends/collaborator. Anyone actually picked up Gundam Origin would know how bad of a writer/storyteller YAS is compared to Tomino with his wanking of Char or centered all the OYW around him instead of letting him simply be an actor within this grand conflict. A pale portrayal of a mutilfaceted Char into this almost parody of character, a stark contrast to Tomino's portrayal where Char's complexity and failing having the chance to shine. Similarly, Urobuchi's edgelord tendencies and habit of reducing characters to mouthpieces of ideologies and flat characters for dramabait/tragedybait plot just proved how much worse of a writer he is compared to Nasu. No wonder, he stucked writing edgy chuuni wuxia fanfic for some literal who Taiwanese puppets show now.

Given the cockpit is inside the suit, it (and the suit) probably has something around it to absorb kinetic energy to prevent it from transferring into the pilot, especially given how much the suits get thrown around into buildings and stuff. Think about how much you see pilots shrugging off and then look at how much Char is struggling.

How fast is he going? 350+ meters per second? Dude is redlining the fuck out of his machine and his own body, it's crazy. You see the battle and it's clearly hundreds or even thousands of miles away, and within seconds he's there, in the midst of the fed fleet.
So this whole series is not only the origins but its low key a "count of monte cristo" story for Char. I mean the dude gets the best revenge story.

This series shows the Zaku II in testing ohase, where the max G was displayed at 13(the test pilot didn't pull it). The limiters Char disengages in this scene allow im to go from 80% to the full 100% of that 13 G limit.
I believe only one Russian guy was ablento pull similar lebels for moments at a time. Most harnesses allow more or less ordinary people to handle 5G but Char is 3X better so I am honna say his 13G was actually 15G because he might have modified the Zaku further after the initial installation of the limiter bypass system.
I am suspecting he can handle something like 24 G burns for moments at a time but the Zaku II of this series can't pull that off and the wikipedia will tell you lies when you observe the original series with how he magically blurs in and out of sight like he was a DBZ character.

And his story makes one wants to root for him because of what the Zabis did to his family.
