I downloaded this the other day. I’m shocked....., how the hell is this all free? The Studio Instruments are nice, but wow, the DAW is amazing. I was a Cakewalk user many years ago. I thought they were gone. The package is free.., and completely worth it.
From my personal point of view this string section is the best I ever had,it did a great job with my version of Conan the barbarian's ost.

Andrea, I am probably late, but after you wrote this, two AWESOME strings libraries came out (also free!) Spitfire Labs and Orchestral Tools - Layers. Check them out! You wont regret.
This seems to put the programs I have to shame but, I am still learning how to use the ones I already have. Thanks I'm gonna save these for future projects.
Those are plugins from back in the days, some of them still aren't dated. But some are very dated. Especially drum plugin, I remember it in 2008 being same. Strings are from same era, but I remember sounding very good.
On the right you should have a menu with media and plugins, select plugins. Then below that you have the buttons audio FX, midi FX and instruments. Select instruments and then there are all the instruments, drag one of em to your track and you are set.
You have to find the folder where the vst instruments are. Probably something like c://program files/cakewalk/vstplugins Set this folder into your Cubase Pro 10 plugin directories.
The drums sound great. Strings are passable but would need some work with EQ/transient shaping. The bass and piano sound really cheap and nasty though.
I was not able to download the files. Although I am a long time registered in Cakwalk, he asks again in HRS COURSES for the registration and reports that I am not registered. So it does not work. I need help Thanks.

I've used studio instruments for years on Sonar X1 and it is great. I'm trying to donwload onto Reaper but I'm having a problem. The path fro me is C/Program Data/Cakewalk/Studio Instruments but there is not a .dll file associated with them. I was able to download the TTS using the . dll file. I did download Sonar from the Bandlab Assistant, version 64 for Sonar and Reaper. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

These are nice but unfortunately, you only get them if you download Cakewalk and I'm useless with a DAW so it's just gonna be there taking up space not being used. Plus the sounds could be better, there's no round robins or even velocity layers on most of the instruments.
I do not think these vsts will work in XP, no. And you have to download the Bandlab Assistant first, then you start the assistant and you can download the vsts

I am not able to recreate your problem so I do not know how to solve this. Try to download it direct from their website. Do a search for Cakewalk by Bandlab.
Hi, and thanks for this video. I took the vst`s in my cubase 10 and can play the instruments, but when i record something and than pla back, the notes hang. i suspect here is no off-command. But it works in the cake-walk programm. Do you have an idea?
You can use them in the latest Ableton Live 10.1. Check the link on our website or search for Cakewalk by Bandlab. You do have to install the whole Cakewalk also.
You just Google bandlab Cakewalk you'll download the bandlab manager. Once that's installed go to applications and you'll see Cakewalk.. Press install and follow the onscreen directions 😊

De bas plugin werkt goed wanneer ik de bas op 'mono' zet ipv 'poly'.

The only flaw with the Drum VST is that you can't separate each sound to it's own track.
Yes but there are some other great free drum kits that have separate outputs. Like SSD5.5
You can just bounce the MIDI track to audio afterward then you'd have separate tracks.

The drums are in the Cakewalk download, so you have to download it all before you can have the drums, they are not separate.
