I tried some of this stuff. I like Odin2 virtual synth. It gives me the sound I want. And you can do cool stuff with the delays there. It also have phaser on board which is my favorite effect. For me that's one synth that can do about everything I personally need.

I'm a little bit confused. How the heck are you even using some of those plugins and effects without crashing your computer? I was paying close attention to your CPU usage the whole time and your MAC was using 42% of its CPU's resource the vast majority of the time. Just an observation.

    • @HOLLASOUNDS

I cant see the CPU, where are you looking? Also isn't the CPU being drained by the Screen capture?

You got to learn how to "Off load" your CPU bandwidths to a USB flash drive bro. That's what I'm looking into now. By doing so you direct the MAIN system CPU usage to the USB Flash drive allowing It to carry that responsibility which in return FREE'S UP more of your CPU. Aka you shouldn't be getting CPU cramping.
It's still something I'm just finding out about. But It made sense when I came across the Video on you tube. & It wasn't even a music producer showing the technique. It was a PC PROGRAMMER who's thing, passion etc directly IS computer programing. So he's figured out how to "GET AROUND" the CPU issue to a degree of math, science, practical knowledge/logic, & rationale to say the least bkz the theory is simple enough when explained.
I have an unused 128GB USB Flash drive & am going to try it out. I just haven't had the intellectual time to spend patiently applying all I learned. But I do know there IS a way to "Offload" some of that stress on your CPU.
Mind you I only have an i5, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD, 2TB ex. HDD, & an AMD Radeon RX_580 V1 Graphics card etc that I'm running. Unfortunately I can only put in 16GBs of Ram. If I could get 32GB I wouldn't have no worries even on WINDOWS! It's the Ram, & CPU processing power that Is key.
But my Graphics card has HELPED immensely bkz now all Graphics duties run through it separately. It has Its own APP & special features to OVER CLOCK & so forth. It has RECORDING/VIDEO EDITING amongst other notable unexpected features.
So In short. You are going to HAVE TO INVEST on better FUTURE PROOFED music production structure & ecosystem (technical) tools wise in UPGRADES or you will ALWAYS have CPU issue's.
When I did my upgrades it allowed for when my CPU usage was high to STILL FUNCTION even though the CPU is krazy lol! Another TIP is to NOT USE MIDI as your main, only hot print to your sequencer.
A short term solution I can also advise is >>Turn your MIDI TRACKS INTO>>AUDIO FILES! Bkz audio doesn't take up nowhere near the amount of CPU as MIDI files do as a general concept. So when you have a melody, or a MIDI TRACK with a bunch of processing that runs the CPU high, just turn THAT particular MIDI track into an AUDIO track. Therefore by way you can REMOVE all the processing once you get the midi where you want it to be to turn into audio. So that you can get back your CPU usage from those other plugins used in processing the initial sound/midi, track etc!
^^^^That tip alone is going to save you MANY headaches. I mean ultimately you are going to turn your midi into AUDIO anyway right?? U feel me? So U might as well just do it right out the box from jump while your producing, creating. The asterisk is that you will haver to COMMIT to that Audio bkz you won't be able to do any changing in the PROCESSING after It's burned to Audio feel me. So as long as you are DECISIVE & assured of your idea is creatively & TRUST that then It would be Ideal for you to use AUDIO more so than MIDI!
In essence, >>MIDI FILES are the enemy of your CPU ahahah. & >>AUDIO is your savior fax lol.

    • @armonshakur_VMGmultimediaEnt.
      @armonshakur_VMGmultimediaEnt. 19 วันที่ผ่านมา

But yeah bro. I got a little off track. Don't know If I gave you clear, concise enough answer. But they STILL have the OLD website structure HIDDEN in the "MIRROR" structure which is akin to a graveyard for an old website. It looks exactly the same visually as It did before, so you'll notice ur their Immediately.
Steven @ Cymatics have PROMPTS that tell you they want you to use the NEW Product Portal for so called easier access. But If you don't want download yet another wasteful product portal then you can elect to download the "SLOW, OLD" way & quote verbatim smh..
Well the slow old way beats another fkn product portal installation I know that bkz I'm not downloading or using It. I'm not buying none of their plugins bkz I don't need them. So I'll use the old method for just basic downloading packs If I see a little cheap kool pack of a SPECIFIC element I'm looking to get a hold to. But aside that I don't have use or need their product portal on my SSD, & home screen lol smh. Now the sample pack makers want to do the fkn bs product portal invasiveness bs!!
Now what I will say In contest to your issue is that YOU may be better off downloading the portal bkz 50GB is a LOT of gah damn samples bro haha lol. Most are going to be wasteful, take it from a Man who DOES have that 50GB If not more of of Cymatics free, & paid packs I purchased. So between the freebies & what I've bought I have so much shyt I can't even user it bkz I have OTHER Developers sample packs to as well.
50GB may download smoother from the portal all at once. Where as you will have to download each individual download If you do It manually by the old format standard they used. But in that way you can pick & chose what you want to take from bkz not all free shyt is good, i.e what you may want, favor in taste. So don't be GREEDY & dump a bunch of bs that you'll never use like I did ahaha.
Their best shit/value imo are their stellar, free DRUM KITS, DRUM SOUNDS!! That's what I have the most of and MIDI packs. I'm also BIG on thee, their ONE-SHOT samples in which I also favor bkz they allow you to be more specific with your creativity in terms of, & regarding SAMPLES bkz they are not LOOPS! I'd rather use ONE-SHOTS than loops and make a loop out of one-shots If u know what I mean lol.
But that's the speel bro. I don't even think they TOLD anybody in a PSA that they were going to come with a NEW set up for 2024 in which MANY, most sights have redone for a more better VISUAL experience to help draw people in bkz they've realized that we producers LOVE beautiful color, artwork, graphics with our products. So I suppose Cymatics just follow suit to keep up with the times, & forward future progressions of the music industry in regards to producers. Si I understand WHY.
& I must say that the NEW Cymatics website is a lot more gorgeous to peruse than the older structure so I'm cool with that part, loving that aspect. But I ain't downloading another gah damned product portal. Especially for sample packs.
When WAVES had "COSMOS" their Sample manager up for FREE when they first dropped It as a promo to get you to buy the Sampler I was on top of it. So I have a BOMB sample, sample pack manager & I already own probably a 500k to a million Samples on my SSD literally right now. So I have more than what I need u feel me. In fact I'm rather spoiled at this point ahah!!
