I think the implications of it scratching the dragon god versus it obliterating Badidadi could say some thing especially being that Badidadi was interested in the attack that could scratch the Dragon god
I wonder. Considering how much longer rudeus has to charge, the fact rudeus was 100% health and not under stress. That makes a huge difference. Not to mention that rudeus could well have improved his skill
@@JoeVahnsfrom what I've read i think the stone cannon that rudeus used against badigadi is emperor rank in firepower and considering that it takes at least king rank technique or attack to damage orsted the rank of the stone cannon that rudeus used againts orsted must be between saint and king rank

I enjoyed the episode as is but hearing about all this cut content I feel like it would have enhanced it. Even if they showed just how scared/interested Badi was when hearing about Orsted, and maybe even including the stuff about Badi's journey leading to meeting Rudy in an OVA would be nice
Exactly my thoughts Knowing how whole country was on alert would gave waaay much importance and tension to the fight but im mainy annoyed by exchange about Orsted. It would literally add like 10s to the episode but would greatly change whole scene and finally we would get another Rudeus is OP moment as seasons 2 kinda sucks in this regard
I think showing the chaos around the duel would have added to the flavor. As it is, it felt like this was just an extra-special appearance. Seeing panicked people running around everywhere, hearing reinforcements are coming, people trying to stop Fitz to delay things, that would have added a lot.
the whole fight with badigadi felt strangely calm. a literal demon king comes, the students casually attacked him and casually stood around and watched rudeus fight him with icy uncaring eyes. it was super strange. like it should be a much bigger deal. it bothered me a lot when i first saw this episode.
Its probably because pretty much none of them understand its badigadi or they just dont understand the powerscaling of their own verse. They have no clue whats happening they just know hes pretty strong.
It's reflective of how Rudy feels. Rudy has only ever been around strong people for most of his life so his perception is skewed. Think of it, his Frames for reference are Paul, Roxy. Ghislaine, Eris, Ruijerd, Sylphy. These are all EXCEPTIONAL people. He doesn't realize he's EXTREMELY powerful, he doesn't realize BadiGadi is like fighting an end boss. When they spent two years in the demon continent he was up against some of the harshest environments and creatures possible at a really young age. This reflects in the LN where he compares things to the demon continent and wonders "are things stronger there I wonder". This scene in the LN wasn't much different, some details and BAM done, because we're in the "no self confidence" arc.
Yeah, I remember more than a few lines where he says something to the effect of "wait Paul might be like really strong?!" about Ghislaine and etc. But it's more fun when we and the world know just how insane his fight with Badigadi is, the anticipation to the fight and the anticlimax of him being blown away was a really cool moment. Honestly I was looking really hard to see Badigadi blown into little pieces but it looked to me that he was just shown being blown back and losing his arms lol@@stealthbrawler

So, these two finally meet after Kishirika's rebirth, she goes on to ramble about Rudeus and Badigadi just... sets off to find the guy immediately. I figured it given how Kishirika went "Ah, sorry, I can't do you, I just remembered! I definitely felt it was rushed, but not in a bad way. They kept the POV for the viewer and Rudy the same, and it works well with the way they've been doing the storytelling.
Yeah that’s a great point, this whole anime has taken a different approach from the novels wherein it centers on Rudi like a first person book or something. There really hasn’t been much outside of him as a focal point so it would be odd for them to do too much context that he wouldn’t be aware of.

I only half agree, I think removing interaction about orsted was a tad too far. it's maybe like 3 more seconds that would have really improved on things. also a couple of seconds to show how stressed everyone was about badigadi being there and it would have been perfect.
I was really sad to see so much left out of this latest episode, I thought they were speeding through everything to give the Badigadi fight more time to shine but it ended up being super bare bones compared to the LN. If I recall, Rudeus's stone canon shot was meant to blow Badigadi to pieces which would have been awesome. Oh, also how terrified Nations were of Badigadi crossing through their territory made the fight mean something rather than just calling himself a demon king like every other show. Missing that context made it feel really flat to me.

Sadly, even by making simple slice of life animation, it would take more than year to cram it in for an entire season. And we wouldn't want creative burnout for the animators.
This season really does feel rushed and it seems like they want to get to "that" as quick as possible. I had a feeling they would since while reading I felt like the conclusion was a long ways off but was optimistic that they'd take the long route. I'm still happy with what we're getting but I feel like this season is missing 2-3 more episodes worth of world building and content. What I am disappointed about in this episode however is that they cut the conversation Badigadi and Rudy had about Orsted. It was just 2 more sentences and the change in duel would've made more sense. It's exclusion also confused some peoples interpretation of Orsted. I've seen some people come to the conclusion that Orsted leaves no survivors which just isn't the case
I assume they just figured the situation is self-explnaitory enough. Rudeus went "I fought that Dragon God guy" and Badigadi went into the "Hit me as hard as you can"-challenge. I did understand that he was essentially testing the strength of someone who fought the Dragon God which was probably good enough for the adaptation team. I guess it does not need to be explained how much of a huge deal fighting a god would be.

The episode felt like rudeus POV, so it made sense that it felt oddly calm and slice of lifey to him Would love to see OVAs exploring all these side stories of other characters though
Isn't the whole anime very Rudeus POV focused? Like, we get bits and pieces of other characters here and there, but only when it's needed for Rudeus encounters. Season 1 had a Roxy bit, which introduced Elinalise so when she met Rudeus in S2 we already knew her. Season 2 had Fitz/Sylphie moments, but that is so we understand why she is not revealing herself to Rudeus and don't get any wrong ideas about her situation.

Honestly I wished they kept the context of Badigadi wanted the strongest spell from Rudeus after hearing he injured Ostred. Other than that I'm satisfied with it.
I have noticed a decent drop in animation quality and a more "rushed" feeling to this season. I was surprised considering the time between seasons. I hope the studio isn't losing interest in it.
No, the studio is going to adapt the full thing. The time between seasons was very little actually, season 1 took them over 4 years to make and it was still hell to work on (director's quote). But the production committee (aka the investors) decided no more than 2 years between seasons. There were many problems with production, at least half of them were not their fault.
@@Fiufsciak it is a ton of work, anime is very difficult to produce, especially when you want to keep the quality high through the whole season. Look forward to next EP, the PV and leaks look amazing and it's directed by the series director, so it should be really well done.
I'm glad your doing the cut content stuff. I think they did a decent thing with the time they have as to me that is both important and not too important as well the story works fine without it, and we also gotta remember that 9/10 anime is meant for people to buy the source material as well

gonna read the LN soon, i will say the missed stuff is set up in a way that adds mystery as opposed to being straight confusing. felt like bhadighadi was there for a reason to be revealed later on
What frustrates me the most in this chapter of the academy is the absence of teachers. There doesn't seem to be any dedicated educators or leaders present. I'm left wondering about Redus's activities during this period. There's no indication of training, mentorship, or any effort from the academy to guide him in learning something new. On the contrary, it appears he's simply idling away, not making any meaningful progress toward recovery, finding his mother, or becoming stronger. It's as if he's aimlessly passing time without any clear purpose or direction.
That perspective is the right one to have. Rudeus is not learning that much since he pretty knows everything the academy could teach. The only thing he doesn't know is the barrier and healing magic stuff, but he's soon gonna learn everything about that. Luckily, this will be covered in future episodes (unless they skip some stuuff).
i think they could have made a couple minute compilation of badigadi walking while fighting and accepting tributes and just perhaps some generals and politicians talking in the background discussing the crisis
As an anime only, I really didn't find anything too rushed or out of place. A lot of the extra content is great for backstory and definitely paints a different tone for the confrontation with Badigadi, but it's nothing I personally think was critical. However, I do wish they included that extra dialogue about Rudeus injuring Orsted -- it makes the following battle proposal make more sense and also emphasizes a lot more clearly just how big a deal Orsted really is and how insane it is Rudy injured him at all
Yeah they did mention the fight, but the 'scratch' would be a key part to it. Would have rather had 1 badigadi laugh shortened to create the time for this.
I pretty much understood the whole beastfolk crisis as an anime only, but Badigadi was just random asf to me. We saw a glimpse of him at the end of the prior episode, but that was not enough context lol. Honestly even watching their fight, I didnt even notice he got obliterated with all the smoke in the way💀, I didnt feel like that was the tone they were trying to set. That entire encounter just seemed like it was supposed to be humorous, which I did think parts of it were funny. I dont think anything felt rushed though, but Badigadis placement there felt off to me, probably because I just had so many questions about him. Who is he, why is he there, how did a literal Demon King get inside their school, where did he come from? Etc. That part was a little weird, nothing else felt out of place though

I look forward to these videos as much as I look forward to a new MT ep each week.
I really like these videos! It feels like I get a whole new episode of Mushoku Tensei. Love it @AniNews !
You should make a new video comparing and seeing just how strong he is now and if he has learned anything at least by the light novels timeline maybe something that hasn't shown or explained love the videos and keep it up
Mahn they cut so much content I was so confused on episode 9. Thanks a lot U r the best. Explained well
Been waiting bro. Thanks for pumping them out!
You’re the one that I love to watch after coming home from work. As a break and relaxation for the week, along side Mushoku Tensei.
Cant say i blame some people for being dissapointed with the battle between rudeus and badi since there was alot more in there rather than just the one spell. Rudeus being the best wingman ever though was nice and fitz being jealous of the girl is there too
Day 101 of asking for a grand assassin hassan servant review
pretty sure rudeus wanted him to be rejected, he's coping very hard and wants to bang elina but has ed.
@@HamguyBaconRudy wouldn’t have banged elinalise, he hasn’t shown much attraction to her. He was saying that because of her situation and didn’t want cliff to be suffering.
@@megaavonaco9954 BS, he tried to get hard multiple times when they were in bed and it wouldn't work, he's coping. you can tell he was shocked when they got together, he didn't actually want him to get with her.
Wow, two AniNews episodes worth of cut content from a single anime eposide, count me in XD!
About time!
I think it really took away from the duel to not have Badigadi react more to the mention of Orsted... Even just a short exchange like "Did you injure him?" "Yes, barely." and then the one hit rule.
As I'm reading the 24th volume of the LN, it's hard to realize that this happened 16 VOLUMES AGO ! It doesn't feel like THAT MUCH happened since then.
The episode felt like rudeus POV, so it made sense that it felt oddly calm and slice of lifey to him
Would love to see OVAs exploring all these side stories of other characters though
@@GameBreaker1055 thats true yeah, maybe thats the direction they were going for all along
Ars x Aisha OVA. Imagine.
@@truck_0097 a video popped up in my recommended about aishas shenanigans but i didnt watch it because spoilers and now ive looked up who ars is, im just not going to ask
@@truck_0097 LOL
The cut content was interesting, but yeah it would have been at least two episodes to cover it properly. I think the studio did a decent job with the abridged version and consequently it makes your videos quite invaluable to those of us who havn't read the LN but would like to know more about the world of Mushoku Tensei.
I love your videos so much they are just such a nice refresher of what happend and I love listening to people get deep into the lore of series that I adore
omg the new episode today was so good, I am hyped for your skipped content episode
I love your cut content videos, I'm sure you put a lot of time and effort in these videos and it shows. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for making it easier to understand the episode. They should have made specials explaining Badidadi!
YEssss, definitely was waiting for this upload, alil later than i expected it tuesday or wendsday but better late then never as they say.😊
I think the full context would have added more depth to the episode and a level of understanding to the anime viewer of what the demon tribes were like and how amazing it was for Eris and Rudy to have survived the Demon Continent
I love your videos and look forward to them every week. I'm very grateful for the content. But wish that the video came out closer to the episode airing.
Always looking forward on your videos, its like a new episode to me
Thank you for this explanation and the context.
Mooooore, I need MORE of your videos
I just loved how excited about this all ordeal Badigadi was. I just love to see it ! I just find him coming to this school so weird !!!
Thanks enjoy a lot hope 2 part is quick make up look forward to it
I was waiting soooooo much for this ep. I loved reading this in the WN, and reading it in the mangá. Badigadi just going caput was sooooo damn funny.
Consider me subscribed that was a excellent explanation for someone who only watches the anime
You are the best mate! My days are always better with your videos lifting my spirits! Longtime fan! Your voice is really soothing and blends really well with the material! Your passion always puts a smile on my face! Always look forward to more of your amazing content! I’m so proud to be a member of this community! You're Truly awesome!
Btw kudos for the decision to separate the epsiode into 2 videos! it was the right one! this one was amazing and i can't wait to hear you talk about chad cliff next!
Wow I had no idea all this content was cut its so interesting and much needed but I understand why they didnt
If you are really interested read LN.
It was alright, we have you for all that they cutted, have a goodnight and thanks
i really enjoyed it was a bit confusing but had fun watching
It’s a hard balancing act of covering all the content and reaching a satisfying stopping point at the end of the season.
As always, amazing video!
Badigadi in the student uniform sent me 😂
Love your content thanks for making it so quickly
As a LN reader, yes the context would been helpful for those who are anime only. Nice video as always hope those people get to see this video!
Episode was good but that context definitely would have helped, which is why I’m glad I have this to help me better understand 🙏
The episode felt perfectly paced, i was left wanting more information about this demon king. I just assumed I'll get more information next episode
Since your videos always help me to understand everything the anime missed out, I am fully content they didn't show it in the anime. Of course it's great to know what a huge deal Badigadis appearance was, but yeah, I rather have them skip it for other stuff, since I don't miss anything thanks to you.
I feel like they really need show how much of a treat he is showing the audience to not fuck around with him especially near the end of the story If you know you know
ahhhh yes the cut content being in the order just like was talked about in order it was on the stream 🤣
This man is my saviour. 😭 He is the only one helping me understand everything...
Thank you, I enjoyed this video
Im a simple man. When animews updates my day is made better 😊😊😊😊😊😊
I did not know all that stuff had happened. It felt on track with one episode. Basically, spring. I've not read the manga, so it's all new. Now I find a whole backdrop I've missed 😮
this could have simply been two episodes but if it means that we get more content then I'm all for it
I love these cut content
Bro I love your videos❤, I only watch it every once in a while but you always make a story; even if I already read it; interesting, maybe it’s your voice idk
I hate how they misimagined how budygudy reacted to information that Rudeus fought with dragon god and survived.
Budygudy is my new favorite way of spelling his name
@@nikm3rHoly shit. That's way more work than I'd ever imagine then
@@Fiufsciak it is a ton of work, anime is very difficult to produce, especially when you want to keep the quality high through the whole season.
Look forward to next EP, the PV and leaks look amazing and it's directed by the series director, so it should be really well done.
@@nikm3r Please cite a source i need to do my own research on this show it's very important to me.
If I'm not mistaken the studio was created for the sole purpose of adapting mushoku tensei so they literally can't loose interest
If they released a .5 version of the episode covering the cut content, I'd be really happy since it will provide a lot of behind the scenes things.
I love season 1 animation more than this season. in season 1 it was astounding and also the fight scenes were breathtaking
Another great vid!
I'm glad your doing the cut content stuff. I think they did a decent thing with the time they have as to me that is both important and not too important as well the story works fine without it, and we also gotta remember that 9/10 anime is meant for people to buy the source material as well
Thank god I had watched this to remind myself who that blue-haired girl was. And on that note, I pray that we get a episode or two on Eris’ travels. Catching up with Eris and her training was an enjoyable read, I hope we can get an OVA at least.
I just read that extra chapter. Its so good! It perfectly explains "blue girl" and why she was there in the background I was so confused when I was anime only
I cant wait fot your next vidoe!!
Badidadi was a riot but rudy helping cliff and then her scoring elinalise was the highlight for me! Cliff is made different boys! Hearth for him❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
ehhh he's kind of stuck up, I don't particularly like him
@@Hierophant_Beansame. Also the fact that he made up stories about Eris’s remarks when Rudeus asked about her. He was jealous of Rudeus despite never meeting him in-person.
@@AnoranAlpenthornjealous and thought of himself as inferior to him. I wouldn't say that makes him necessarily bad tho he isn't a plain out aßshole for the most part and pretty much kept to himself
@@keithfields1756 I mean making up false stories knowing it would hurt someone’s feelings seems pretty bad to me
@@AnoranAlpenthorn what stories did he make up(I'm not denying it I'm just curious bc I'm an anime only)
gonna read the LN soon, i will say the missed stuff is set up in a way that adds mystery as opposed to being straight confusing. felt like bhadighadi was there for a reason to be revealed later on
What frustrates me the most in this chapter of the academy is the absence of teachers.
Rudeus is a special student, so he's more like a researcher than an actual student. I assume many of his classmates are the same
That perspective is the right one to have. Rudeus is not learning that much since he pretty knows everything the academy could teach. The only thing he doesn't know is the barrier and healing magic stuff, but he's soon gonna learn everything about that.
Luckily, this will be covered in future episodes (unless they skip some stuuff).
This was very helpful
Great job mate
i think they could have made a couple minute compilation of badigadi walking while fighting and accepting tributes and just perhaps some generals and politicians talking in the background discussing the crisis
And not a word about Rudy asking about Man God and Badigadi's special connection with him? 😉
Thanks❤❤❤❤❤
The cut content wouldve made things so much better 😭 whole time I thought Bagigadi was Rudeus's teacher for that class he showed up for.
Love this content 😃
context is always nice
5:41 never new Rudy was a Drill Sergeant. that knife hand is on point
There's so much important context missed in the anime! I'm glad I can get it all here without having to spoil the story.
i might actually gonna start the manga cuz it seems it has more detail than the anime
i don't really like reading ln cuz my imagination isn't so good to visualize the scenes
Almost thought that wuthering waves released and I didnt know about it
