Julie was the GOAT this episode. The way she just waddles off screen when Rudy starts to get unhinged was adorable Reading the LNs I was actually pretty surprised with how much of a bro Zanoba turns out to be.
I was gonna say this. Voice actor/actress nailed the child like voice acting. When Rudeus got mad and Zanoba was crying, Julie's crying was on point. You can feel that she doesnt know what will happen next and all she can do is cry. That little tip toe to hide behind Zanoba because she is scared was also perfect. This was the best episode so far for me.

As someone who normally hates all spoilers but didn’t really care about getting spoiled on that small scene, I still really appreciate you coming out at the beginning with an apology and explaining it. It goes a long way!
His emotional scars are deep, and they don't just go away, especially when something like this strikes close to them. It's important to see that darkness within him and realize how much he could perpetuate the abuse he received himself if he chose to, with how powerful he is now. At the same time, the crucial moment is when he suddenly realizes he's taken this too far, recognizes the path he's started to step onto, and understands that he needs to change course before it's too late.
And you can notice how hitogami telling him he'd be able to find a cure inside ranoa is what pushes him to do stuff like this. I'm pretty sure he's just not that kind of person anymore.
@@Brianworldwide_7 That might have played a role, but I'm skeptical that anything Hitogami said was the main reason for what he did in this ep. Side note, though: imagine if Rudeus *had* gotten a "reaction" from that groping. That's a truly terrifying alternate path if he'd concluded that doing stuff like *that* is the only way he could be aroused anymore. 😱

Most likely what happened was that they figured that the parts about fitz would be better at the beginning of this episode instead of the other for a more natural flow of story telling (plenty of animes may do this for this specific reason), but the idea of them doing it out of watching the last cut content video would be funny.
I think the showrunners decided to put the Sylphie chapter in episode 7 instead of episode 6 to serve as a bookend with the very last scene. The scenes of Sylphie in her room thinking about Rudeus parallel with the scene at the end where she and Rudeus are actually alone in his room. Having now gotten that earlier scene, we understand some of the thoughts that must be swirling through Sylphie's head in the final scene, and see how tempted she is in that moment to take off the glasses and reveal everything.
Learning a small spoiler doesn’t take away from my experience watching the next episode. Just major stuff like characters dying or whatever. Love this series!
It actually made me chuckle a bit thinking " o boy AniNews you have some explaining to do". Like when someone steals your umbrella from the umbrella rack so you had no choice but run in the rain. And when you go meet up with your friends you see one of them with your umbrella and everyone just has a good laugh.
0:17 My favourite part was cut... when Julie joins in, wholeheartedly, with the 'Roxy' chant. Unexpected but a great character moment. Don't worry about the previous 'spoiler'. I enjoy the insights into the missing content and I only had a mild case of déjà vu at the start of this episode. Sadly, I've already had major spoilers from TH-cam thumbnails that I'm doing my best to scrub from my brain.
It felt like a blunder of the anime to leave out Linia and Pursena's tyranny of their peers. It's no wonder the punishment Rudy gave the girls felt unjustified, it wasn't shown that they deserved it. I also think they should have pressured Zanoba into his bet and/or changed the punishment on him. The anime makes it seem like Zanoba made a cocky bet, fairly lost but bitterly took the L. In the anime we barely see any of actions that are deserving of the punishment they got from Rudy!
I mean to be fair, his punishment was mostly unintentional. The only actual punishment he meant to deal out was the face paint, the psychological torture was just something of a happy accident.

I absolutely adore how this anime has handled the OP protagonist - Rudy is insanely strong, but his past traumas, desire to not get conceited or overconfident, and experiences with other much stronger individuals has led him to underestimate himself and/or overestimate opponents. It's a very cool dynamic that is explored very well, and I can't wait to see where it goes from here. And don't worry about the spoiler, I think it should be a given that the anime is likely to move some content around so if you are going over things missed from the source material, there is bound to be some stuff that is touched on later in the anime. As long as you don't reveal major plot points it's all good imo.
There will still be one other reason related to how op he is later down the line. It will probably be covered in the next two episodes, unless it gets cut.

if you're curious as to why the cat and dogs are the leaders of the beast tribes i have a minor spoiler that wont actually appear in the anime. in the prequel, "old dragons tale" the first Beast God, for which the language is named after had two heads, one was a cat, the other was a dog. the two clans are more than likely his direct bloodline.

I rewatched the fight between the 2 on 2 at least 10 times. It's so dynamic and thoughtful at every detail. At the same time with fan service not purposefully.

You have a way of telling events that is very interesting and makes you think of what the author is setting up to/showcasing. So I noticed the little details I would've otherwise missed if I had not watched your video.

I can't believe they actually animated the scene where they wet themselves. Studio bind really is just built different and I have never been more proud to be a mushoku tensei fan then now.
Honestly having your take on it before I saw the scenes with Sylphie in the morning didn't hurt the experience one bit. It just added a bit of context to what I was watching which was actually nice in it's own way.

No problem. I was surprised they showed that little slice of life of Slyphie's and it was enjoyable to see what you described animated. I didn't feel spoiled at all.
I prefer how the LN handled the "meow, meow, meow" taunt. The anime said "dumb beastpeople can't speak human-tounge properly" but that douest fit Rudy, the LN her just accused them of baby talk. After "Aunt Ghiselaine" can speak human-tounge without random nyans.
@@noahbutler7057 Ghislaine isn't even that good of an example because of that. A better one would be someone like Gyes and all of the other adults in the Doldia village from s1. That's the example what Rudeus uses when he taunts Linia in the novels.
No need to apologize regarding some things you might cover in your vids that might be a spoiler. I personally watch, listen to your vids just to get a better context on the anime. If people really like to know everything, then they should just go straight ahead to the LN or manga. Your videos are awesome
