Hey there, thanks for watching. Have you used 6% hydrogen peroxide to treat Athlete's foot fungus? Did it work for you? Here's the link to the article if you prefer to read instead of watching the video: 👉 bestformyfeet.com/3-versus-6-percent-hydrogen-peroxide/ Also here is the first video I did about using 3% hydrogen peroxide to get rid of the Athlete's foot fungus: 👉 th-cam.com/video/NRYVjdpHxtI/w-d-xo.html Adrian👋
I find that plenty of stuff is good against Tinea pedis the fungus betwen the toes but that toenauil fungus is way more difficult to get rid of. Curcumer (tumeric) more or less obliterates fungus between my toes but toe nail fungus is another story. I'd rather have my toenails removed than take an oral medication which damages the liver and which doesnt always work either.- The vinegar baths etc keep the fungus at bay but stopping it altogether is another story. Keep going! Good to hear someone so honest who says "I tried it and it didnt work". TH-cam is fullof people saying "this will do it its likea miracle" etc
Thank you 🙂 That's the reason I even started a TH-cam channel. I'm so sick of editorless/faceless TH-cam channels that don't even try/test whatever they're talking about in a particular video. I agree. It's a bit harder to get rid of the toe nail fungus which is the same fungus by the way. In my case I got the toe nail fungus thanks to not taking care of the Athlete's foot fungus in the first place. But becauae it's under the nail it's hard for me (and anybody for that matter) to clean and disinfect properly. I got rid of the Athletes foot fungus with the exception of the toe nail. So I'll have to try a few things to see how I get rid of it. I'll probably make a video about it soon. Thanks for your comment.👍🏼
@@BestForMyFeet I will have to put you on notification because Im interested to know how it goes. Actaully scientists are not very scientific about the entire thing. You are right that Tinea cruris tinea pedis et al are descriptions of symptoms and not species of fungus or anything else although the name is given as though they are all different. On the other hand, there are diferent species of fungii which can cause athelete's foot and mention of the idfferent possible fungii is seldom made although they are easily identiifed in a lab.People brush aside the possibility that treatment may have to be different acording to species but I wonder what makes doctors so sure about that. I discoverd by chance that coconut oil appears to have hopefully TOTALLY cured me of jock's itch yet coconut oil is no help on my feet Why is that?
I switched to borax and it's really good. Quite similar results as peroxide but it's easier to be consistent. Within a week the itchiness has stopped. My feet are also softer, similar to peroxide in removal of dead skin. However I think this targets the bacteria/fungi that create the layers of dead skin.
My grandma said that back in the 1940's she and her cousins would soak their feet in bleach water. She said it was good for toenails, apparently she was referring to toenail fungus. But later in life they had very rough feet.
Grandmas and their secret solutions to everything :) Talking about bleach, that's one of the things I need to try in order to treat my toe nail fungus. Thanks for watching Mathilde👍🏼
Peroxide is he only thing I’ve seen the foot fungus react to and I used OTC creams prescription creams and oral medicine.using peroxide it’s burned like hell but each time it’s less and less
Interesting. I've tried a few peroxide solutions and none of them burned. The only time it did burn is when I had an open tiny cut in between my toes (caused by the fungus as well).
Try filing the whole toenail until it feels kind of rough. Filing down the top surface layer a bit then, get a cottonball with rubbing alcohol (new cotton ball for each tonail) and apply the rubbing alcohol onto the toenails. (NOT IN-BETWEEN TOES) Only your actual nails. Make sure to let them dry completely before putting on any socks or shoes but, it's best to keep them uncovered as much as possible. Repeat everyday twice a day and it makes a huge difference when dealing with toenail fungus.
I have just started using a product called "Kerasal" foot wash.. It contains natural tea tree oil. My feet don't smell bad and the itching has stopped. Its still early {3 days } Just thought to mention this, to others to try. Hope this helps
35% food grade hydrogen peroxide is what I'm familiar with that is most affective. 2 1/2 drops of 12% in a removable dish tub with hot distilled water with frankincense oil has worked for me. Only use dish tub for feet 😁
Fail! but Super big thank you for trying. This to me, is the kind of content that I like to watch because its REAL. I have the itch and I scratched mines so much until I ripped the skin to the point where I had to get stitches. was in Thailand when it happened and I had a jetski tour to do the next day.... nawp didn't happen. I had some cream called Fango B. no more itches and the toes do look better ( alot better) but I'm not certain that it is cured.. but looks 70% better. mind you this was about a week into it. will see what happens. I also soaked in Epson salt, not confirming that it works but.... they look alot better. My theory is to keep the nail thin ( i filed the nails down to almost nothing) and it looks ALOT better. ALOT. just sharing
Thanks for commenting and sharing :) That's the reason I started this channel. I was fed up with all the BS on the internet talking about all these things without any bit of testing. I understand that worked for some but I least I tried, I documented it and it didn't work for me. The important thing is to not stop the treatment just because it looks better after 1 week. I've applied the cream I've used for about 3 weeks, daily. I still apply it now once or twice per month or so just to make sure it doesn't come back hahaha! Good luck!

just using over the counter hydro. per. 4 weeks now. area is shrinking in size. i have it on the side of my heel/ankle. it's not spreading to my other foot or my partner. supposed to rotate shoes to let them dry out. sanitize them with a shoe spray solution. shove newspaper/papertowels/fabric in them to absorb moisture. wearing sandels and going bare foot as much as possible.
Thanks buddy. I'll add it to my list. I've ordered some creams so I'll probably try that first. If that doesn't work I'll test the spray you mentioned. Adrian🤙
Thanks Andrew. In my case, my feet and boots get wet or humid at least because it gets quite hot inside. Especially in summer. I wear work boots with thick leather, waterproof membrane and on top of that wool socks. But I'll definatelly look into the trench foot issue.👍🏼
Good tips Tommy. Thanks for that. I've disinfected the boots with alcohol isopropyl and now I apply talc powder daily and cream once per week just to prevent the fungus from coming back. Here's how I disinfect my boots: 👉Blog post: bestformyfeet.com/how-to-disinfect-work-boots/ 👉Or video: th-cam.com/video/OJIIZuw7YS8/w-d-xo.html It's working great!
The 3% is already quite diluted Frank, if you diluted more it will be pure water. Now the 6% looked a bit more aggressive on the skin as I showed in the video when parts of my skin turned white for a hours. But if you have to dilute the 6% hydrogen peroxide you might as well don't buy it and just go with the 3% solution. Adrian

How much borax (approx) per gallon of water do you use in your foot bath?

I’ve heard apples cider vinegar (& probably normal vinegar) does well to kill bacteria & fungus. Have you tried that?
Hey Steve, no I haven't tried that one. It was on my list of home remedies to test but didn't get to testing it.
I tried that and it worked.
@@betlisiaperez7304great to hear. 👏
Thanks, i hope one day we will cure it as well permanently.
Fingers crossed. I'm trying some creams at the moment. I'll post an update soon on how that went!

Vicks vapor rub tho whole foot and in between thy toes it works

try neem soap and sea salt soaks for your athletes foot. Also have you thought of wearing gumboots at work? they're water proof

Nice experiment though. I would like to try. Thanks for genuine video.
Thanks for watching and for the nice words!👊
Bro Silka is a cream and it works wonderfully.
Use sulfur soap or pure elemental sulfur
Ive been adding a splash of hydrogen peroxide to my salt water thinking that it might do the trick, i didnt think to use just the peroxide
blue star ointment and saturate newspaper with disinfectant and stuff in the boots
Interesting. Thanks for sharing Tiffany👍🏼

Mince garlic and olive oil over night with clear wrap is best for athlete’s foot.

I know someone who used Australian Glen 20 disinfectant spray. Worked well

When your skin stays white from peroxide it is actually known as a chemical burn
Thanks for that Tony🤜🏼🤛🏼
I didn't know that was the name for it.
That goes away after 10 to 15 minutes.
@@rtruth7002 it took a bit longer for me but yeah, it goes away, thank God for that, I did got a bit scared when I saw my hands all white hahaha
You need some tea tree oil for that fungus under your right toe nail. It worked for me!
Nice one. I'll have a look. Thanks for the recommendation👍🏼

If your boots and feet are constantly wet for long periods it may be what was known as trench foot ask your doctor

Are you treating your boots ? Spray with vinegar to killany fungus there too you could be just cross contaminating@@BestForMyFeet
Your boot carry the fungus in it. Use power in your shoes. And use creams. As well as cleaning your feet with peroxide. Cute those nails short.

It's working great!
Scrub your feet, toe nails with nails brush use soap. Dry. Use cotton ball dab toes and affected area. Dry. Everyday
Not gonna work in one application. Needs to be repeated daily for weeks.
Done exactly that for about 3 consecutive weeks...
Aren’t you supposed to dilute it?

OREGANO ORA??
Peroxide doesn't work... this is wild...
It's because you are coming back to those contaminated socks and work shoes cycles
Use gloves on both hands to not spread that fungus around to other parts of your body…..
