I love mine. Ive had it a few months now... With 200 rounds LE OO Buck at the first outing its a pleasure to shoot. No matter how i tried i just couldnt out run it. The front site came loose at around 50rounds but a dab of red loc tite fixed that. Dont care for the plastic barrel clamp or mag tube tho. GG&G has the remedy for that for around 100 bucks, those parts are on order. All in all...Very happy with it.
I ultimately ended up getting rid of mine. I'll eventually get a 1301 in the future. It's just not a priority as I'm not really the biggest shotgun guy
Got my patrol LE black model last Friday. Added an Olight Odin GL M Flashlight/laser. Side saddle similar to yours and a nice 2 point QD sling with a 15 round bandalero.. Love it!
Nice setup.....bet she can lay down some destructive results....the only reason you own a sidearm is to get to your shotgun....I think this set-up in a 20 gauge would be perfect

Ah another fellow lefty. The world of firearms hate us brother, but glad to see another A300 owner. Can't wait for some aftermarket stocks and front qd sling mounts (not a fan of the stock mount, came loose after few rounds and strips if you over torque a bit easily).
If i hadn't recently picked up a mossberg 940 tactical with holosun this would probably b the one I'd try to get. That being said,im extremely happy with my 940 tactical, very hard to find currently. I lucked out here locally & found one....

I picked up an a300 UP a few weeks back and have the opposite thoughts you do. If I could have found the mossy I might have purchased that gun instead lol. I think the mossberg might be fast and can go longer between cleanings x or so manual would say.

I have the black one love it. I would have looked at river stripe but all at my GS are black 🖤 the checkering is the best ever. You certainly need gloves. Any more than a full mag with Heavy loads and you will feel the sharpness of the checkering. With gloves your grip is velcro like.
This is a solid mid tier shotgun! Personally, I’m going with an LTT 1301. However, if you’re on a budget and you can score a great deal on my Black Friday for an A300 Ultima definitely go for it.
Keep in mind that you shoot a tac semi in a squared position, not the classic shotgun bladed stance. That LOP works for folks up to 6' 3" if they're shooting tactical style.

It's not a mag extension. That is a polymer cover OVER a full length one piece tube. You can use an Allen key to slightly raise the QD up from the buttstock which cures the qd issue nearly always. Yes the safety is reverseable
You picked the right red dot...The T2 is a rifle dot, MOA is too small for the purposes of this shotgun. Anyone buying the T2 is buying it for the Gucci effect. P2 is functional on this gun. Nice overall set up
Very clean setup! Wanting this because it is nice, but already have a very tricked out(plus $1,000.00 in upgrades before i even received shotgun from FFL) 1301 L. E. Tactical. I could easily buy one, but i think i may wait until the price goes down even more, since this is just a curious want. Very clean set up though!
Rear polymer sight is not very sturdy. The polymer side guard was broken on mine right from the store. It was out on display and was obviously damaged in the store. Waiting on a replacement but really hope they come out with some steel iron sights.
I want to know how these handle real cheap bird shot. I heard someone say they're geared towards heavier loads so I'm hesitant to buy one if I can't plink with bottom shelf shells.
Finally got it out to the range a couple weeks ago but only shot full power buck and slugs through it. Next time I go I'll try birdshot and report back
Heard you make the weight comparison with your 590. I have an A1 variant with the 20’ barrel. Haven’t enjoyed the weight and length in the years since purchase. How does this compare in overall length/maneuverability indoors?
My 590 is a Shockwave that I form 1''d to make it an SBS. Unfortunately, I do not have a 20" shotgun to compare it to at the moment. But I can tell you that the maneuverability difference between the A300 and 590 SBS is immense, but that should definitely be expected since there's a 5" barrel difference between the two
You said that you are a left hand shooter do you have any problems shooting the A 300 ??? do you get any powder blowback in your face ?? or shell hulls hitting you ?? the reason i ask is i am also left handed
For me, I really like shotguns to be more simple. It's good the way that it is. I ended up getting rid of the A300, but have a 1301 in plans for the future

Everything is better with a red dot. It just is. Lining up two objects, versus three, and then focusing on the front sight instead of the target, is just way more efficient and natural

I am, as well. Years ago I had a Mossberg 930 SPX. I'd say the A300 compares more so with the 930 than the 940 Pro. The 930 has metal sights where the A300 has plastic. The A300 has the MLOK and QD mount provisions, where the 930 and 940 do not. While those could be considered just nice to haves, and where functioning of the gun is more important, I haven't seen anyone having issues with the A300. The 930 had been known to have some temperamental issues depending on ammo. The 940 is allegedly more reliable than the 930, but it's also about $100 more than the A300. Looks like the 930 SPX can still be had for about $825. I paid $635 for mine at Dick's back in 2017.

The A300 action has been used in Beretta sporting shotguns since 1968. My buddy has a mid-seventies gun he inherited from his grandfather. It has been used hard, but taken care of, for decades in duck blinds. I would expect this A300 to perform the same. I really wanted a Beretta 1301T but the price deterred me. This seems like 95% of a $1,500+ shotgun for 30% less money.

I can't really speak to the comparison, because I never even shot my 930 SPX before I sold it. I think it's a really decent shotgun that has some great features, but also some drawbacks that some people don't like. Like I see people changing out the rear sight for the LPA sight because they either don't like that it's plastic, or they've broken theirs. I also see people changing out the mag tube cover and barrel clamp, or wanting to upgrade the stock. But then you're spending more money. My thoughts are if you want to change some of that stuff out when you get it, just spend a little more and get the 1301
100 % agree with you on if your gonna spend the money to upgrade it just get the 1301. From my experience people hate on certain guns for really dumb reasons they also change things don’t need to be changed for 90% of shooters. I have the 930 spx now I do like it a lot price ranges are close to same just trying to see if it’s worth it when the 930 does the same thing.

I just can't bring myself to spend M4 money on one. Or hell even 1301 money. Lol
Kinda in the same boat already have a pump & semi auto 12, trying to jusfiy another. I could always trade up to the beretta but I do really like the spx a lot.
Problem with that is then the tailcap is way far too out of comfortable reach to activate. Additionally, in my opinion, barrel shadow isn't really that much of an issue. As long as it doesn't protrude into the hotspot, you're still good to go 🤙🏼
@@Gallasek1 I'd try reaching out to Beretta customer service and see if they'd send you one. You can always buy patches of Velcro and stick it to the side, but the one that comes with it is really nice because it's perfectly trimmed for the receiver and even has holes for the trigger pins
So I ran into a problem with my Patrol: I was going to remove the stock Picatinny rail and install the Farrowtech mount for the Holosun 509T, so I set it up on a 1/2" cardboard box so I can take before and after pics, as per usual. I walked away to grab something when the Patrol rolled onto the ground, on the left side. Thinking nothing of it, as I was removing the rail, I noticed the left ear protecting the ghost ring was bent. Upon further inspection, the stock plastic ear had broken from that little roll. I knew it was plastic, but damn, I thought it would have held up better than that. That gave me a reason to buy a more sturdy sight, so I went looking and I settled on an LPA rear sight that is steel and fully adjustable for windage and elevation. Yes, I have emailed Beretta about it.
Man that's sucks! But also not the first person I've heard of that happening to. But, my A300 didn't come with a choke. Or even threaded to accept a choke

Fellow lefty here. I reversed the safety now I can switch to fire with my index finder. So glad that 1301 and A300 offer this option.

Both Midwest Industries and Blue Force Gear swivels will work on the A300 without modification to anything.

The T-2 is probably definitely more rugged, but the P-2 is still a great choice

Lefty here. Never had any issue my 1301. Bull pups may cause issues but not the shotgun

It looks like your mounted sight is obscured by your rear iron sight. Can you see unobstructed through your mounted aim point sight?
The optic mount gives the irons a lower third co-witness to the primary red dot

There’s a video of running 500 rds of Buck shot, slugs , bird shot as fast as it can be loaded and it never skipped a beat !
I've ran approx 250 rounds through mine without a hiccup. I did take it apart and clean and oil it before shooting

Why can I only get 6 rounds in the tube???
If you're using foreign made shells, they're actually a little longer than 2-3/4". Whereas US made shells are a little under 2-3/4"

I put my light on the right side and then put the pressure pad/strip on the left side where my thumb can easily reach it.

Just some cheapo Sellier & Bellot. Does not pattern well at all, but good for the range and getting some reps in

@@Gallasek1 I'd try reaching out to Beretta customer service and see if they'd send you one. You can always buy patches of Velcro and stick it to the side, but the one that comes with it is really nice because it's perfectly trimmed for the receiver and even has holes for the trigger pins

So I ran into a problem with my Patrol: I was going to remove the stock Picatinny rail and install the Farrowtech mount for the Holosun 509T, so I set it up on a 1/2" cardboard box so I can take before and after pics, as per usual. I walked away to grab something when the Patrol rolled onto the ground, on the left side. Thinking nothing of it, as I was removing the rail, I noticed the left ear protecting the ghost ring was bent. Upon further inspection, the stock plastic ear had broken from that little roll. I knew it was plastic, but damn, I thought it would have held up better than that. That gave me a reason to buy a more sturdy sight, so I went looking and I settled on an LPA rear sight that is steel and fully adjustable for windage and elevation. Yes, I have emailed Beretta about it.
