- Margaux Resources charged me with trespass for going into this mine. I beat the charge because they didn't own the land. This is the third trespass charge I beat. It would have been nice if CEO Tyler Rice would do what he said in court and work with us. We wanted to take a tour of his operation and see what they are up to but no luck so far. It would be great to tour one of the largest historic mines in the area the Jersey Emerald. Oh well I am sure we can get some video of the Jersey Emerald one way or another!

One of the (many) things that just boggle my mind (didn't take much) is moving that massive hunk of cable up that mountain. How in God's great name did they haul those beasts around??? Donkeys can only haul so much crap, then what? And those massive timbers - hey the trees grow right there, but they're not square! Some poor sod had to run 'em thru a saw mill. Where'd THAT come from?! Un-freaking-believable, what those old-timers did with so little technology. And you are kind enough to show us, indeed, teach us, many of the happenings of those times. For that I thank you. I love to learn, it's so much fun! And your running commentary really sets your vids apart from so many others. You frequently say "I wonder where this goes?" but I've never heard you say "I wonder what this does?". Your wealth of knowledge is truly priceless. Thanks again and stay safe (and outta jail - the bastards)!
You start with a small rope...... run it up to a pulley at the top, use the light rope to pull a thick rope then a light cable and then finally the heavy cable!

Maybe you should have asked for permission to go onto this property before you entered it although it looks pretty dangerous or at least hazardous to me. The owner(s) are responsible if anything were to happen to you. They might have had you sign a waiver stating you are responsible if anything did happen.

There are at least 3 websites but they need to be checked by my Internet Security first as they are grayed out.

So it appears to me they might crush some of the waste rock in the near future.

They are a little scum bag junior mining company that isn't doing anything but fleecing investors. I have had many discussions with them to get access to their claims, it was a waste of my time.
I can see they aren't a good investment when the stock keeps dropping for sure. But you can't go where it says "No unauthorized entry permitted". I know it feels unfair but that's the law.
We got shagged off the 'grounds' of an old gold mine. The guard and another guy came down the hill with a gun.
We weren't near the opening of the mine but on one of 2 roads that goes to the mine and had no intention of trespassing (there was a sign that stated "No entry beyond this point") and we weren't anywhere near this either.

Frank mentioned in a previous video that they are not the land owners and do not likely have an exclusive land use agreement to prevent others from using the land for recreational uses.

Another excellent video, of course these mines are by design only temporary places and it's sad to see them deteriorate however here we can still enter mines from Elizabethan and even Roman times so it takes a very long time for everything to be gone.

Wow that drone footage is spectacular! That's pretty sad they have nothing better to do... Man there is so much hidden coolness in BC that is "Private Property" just sitting there. I would love to see a video on more about the legalities of the mines!
Actually it isn't private property they only have the mineral rights the mine is on public land.

I started watching you a few years ago. Let me be honest. The algorithm recommend a few other channels. So I have seen a few others and they don't have anything on you. Your knowledge of the history and terminology is superior. I can't finish most of the others videos. I find myself watching multiple videos of yours at a time. Thanks for everything you document before it's gone. I live in the heart of iron ore county on lake superior. I love exploring all the old mines and towns around here just as much as your videos.

I don’t understand how it is that I so rarely see (if ever anymore) any snakes in these explorers. Looks like the perfect place that timber rattlers would just be crawling out of every crook and cranny especially around those entrances trying to get you lol! 🐍 You’re one brave hombre!
I have been in hundreds of mines and have only seen 1 snake in a mine.
I have explored many of the mines here in N. Idaho and a few in Nevada
I'm always looking for the next adventure and I think I just found it

Great video, as usual, Frank. Glad to hear about your court outcome. I was shouting at my screen a few more times than you were mentioning to Pamela to stop touching the walls, back and wood. We lost a mine explorer in Nevada two or three years ago when he brought down a little rock on the back of an abandoned mine. Not much rock fell, but he was alone and died where he was trapped, while touching the mine back. She'll eventually learn, but in mines, hearing lessons is safer than experiencing them. Again, thanks for sharing this interesting video!
That is the first time I have heard of anyone that died exploring an abandoned mine.

At :33 I see the box full of #9 and #10 blasting caps. I've seen em in the individual cardboard tubes wire all wrapped up but never on a Walmart scale box full. Nice!!

Ya, when I was a kid I thought mining, caves, and all of it was cool. I get that it’s dangerous. But I can’t get out there to visit these places so it’s really neat to see what’s left now.

That was a nice air tugger, a lot of the ones we used offshore looked worse then that one. It may need a rebuild, but I have no doubt it could ve returned to service.

The footage from the drone was spectacular - some awesome views. Another interesting exploration, including retrieval of bat monitor. I have been in a few caves. One of which was not a publically used cave. One of which was pay but explore on your own unguided. The rest were paid public caves with a guide and quite safe. I have never been in a mine. The unguided caves were fairly dangerous with tight places and deep pitfalls and multiple levels. Some of it was extremely tight belly crawling with pack off of the back being pushed ahead. Had to use ropes at some points. Those were exciting places to explore. They had fossils and formations. Loved it and was scared at times.
Most people assume that caves are safe and mines are dangerous. I think the opposite is true. Many people are killed in caves from drowning, being stuck in tight places and from falls. The reason is that caves are random openings in the earth. Mines on the other hand were designed for men and equipment to go in and out and in most cases to drain the water,
@@exploringabandonedmines Obviously old mines and caves both have inherent dangers. One must be extremely careful and have some skills in climbing and understanding what is a danger. Too many do not go prepared with knowledge or equipment appropriate. Backup items are also needed. I usually bring food and water in addition to wearing appropriate clothes and safety gear. why would they want to hide history from the world? it only will be there for a limited amount of time and eventually be nomore and will truely be forgotten. your doing no harm, love your vids my man! they are very educational and interesting to watch
I think documenting these old mines is more important than supporting a corrupt system that calls itself a mining company never mines anything and is really just a front that mines investors.

That was so awesome mine's like that I like I don't mind going in with you guys on camera but claustrophobic you got me on the ones in Mexico I got claustrophobic watching it so I had to turn it off but when I was young I used to go in mines don't make sense

Seriously though if Margaux are so concerned about the mine that they want to take you to court for trespass, they need to start posting signs and clean the mine up of all the trip and fall hazards that look as they have been laying there for many years ! This happened to me in the Trixie mine owned by Chief Consolidated co. The guys onsite were nice, and I think felt bad in the end for pressing charges. Spent a my first night in jail too. All because they left the entire site wide open, unlocked, and had no legible signage anywhere. Glad you beat the case. I wasn’t so lucky.

In the USA you have to be warned in person for entry into a posted area to be Trespassed and it only becomes a crime if you return a second time. I guess your laws are more strict than ours are here in the USA. Glad you won! This old Lode Miner and Mine Safety Inspector really enjoys your videos and commentary, Thank You!
The point I was making is that it is public land and they have no right to keep me from going on it just because they own the mineral rights.
