- The new year brings new discoveries in the Yankee Boy Mine. We find a new shaft and a new ore pass in the 2800 level as well as some awesome artifacts!

Mines are being filled in, demolished, and/or collapsing at an alarming rate, so it is crucial to document them and save these artifacts while it is still possible.

The rocks are not too slippery...some are loose and sharp though!
I try not to worry too much or feel anxious for them, I have to keep in mind they know what they're doing. Amazing miners, they are! Amazing historians, too!

Hey Frank, something that might be nice for the museum and/or videos is a 3D model of the mine shafts. I think it would end up looking a lot like an aluminum casting of ant tunnels, but longer.
That would be a cool idea but I have no idea how we would do it!
You could possibly use a drone with liDar or similar system. Just don't know how well they'd fly underground
I've seen videos of people using their iPhones to create 3d mine models. The channel Ghost Town Living has a video or two showing this.
I have been watching your channel for like 4 years. It is so awesome. You done know how much I would love to go into your mine. But I know it won't ever happen. In 1993 I was at work I was a wrecker driver. An I went out on a call , There was lot of ice an snow. I got a pick-up out of the center of the hwy. A semi top a hill an seen my red lights he jack knife his trailer. The trailer hit the pick-up an smashed me between it an the wrecker drug me 213 feet down the hwy. I lost both my legs above the knees. Been in a wheelchair from age 29. I am 60 years old now. Your channel is great. I know I well never be able to get in it. I live in Central Missouri. Be careful.

I’ve been subscribed to your channel since2015 , the first thing I ever subscribed to , I tried to lure you down here long ago , Bhutto all we got is anthracite coal mines, one mine the Maple hill colliery extracted 29 million tons in the late 1800’s , there is a few explorers but there not in your league and they keep the name of the mine a secret , there longest video is 15 min , and the one dude always conviently forgets his rope or his flashlight , thanks for keeping it real Frank the truth and facts in your videos will keep educating people about these places for centuries, , they also never remove an artifact , they disintegrate never to be seen again, I remember your dog also enjoy your retirementFrank👍☠️

When you get your house finished you should build a bed and breakfast with 3-4 rooms for people that come from far away and need a place to stay for a night or two. I am from Texas so if I come will definitely need a room for a day or two. Happy new years to the both of you.

How did you find a land for sale with a mine on it ? I wanted to immigrate to the US to buy a patented mining claim and live there but i'm never going to meet all the criteria for immigrating, too complicated for me.
