Like @isaura-22 stated, their friends and family are able to detect subtle toxic traits in a person that the woman may not notice since she is blinded by the whole honeymoon phase. At the same time, there are those friends of hers who don’t have her best interests at heart, like you are saying, OR they genuinely do care but have terrible judge of character due to various reasons. The most common I’ve seen in recent years is they have had so many horrible dating and relationship experiences and are so jaded that they have serious trust issues in men.

I got rid of my "friends" because the only thing they wanted to do is drinking and eat BBQs. I choose to quit those behaviors and now, I am alone but it doesn't mean I'm a red flag. I'm just fit now, with no hangovers.

Nothing wrong with moving on and growing as a person. For me, it wasn't just the drinking, it was the constant search for women, and the competition among us. I was always the weakest link in that department, and couldn't stand the backstabbing and BS anymore. Ideally, we could have helped each other, but instead, my friends wanted to be bigshots.

You can talk yourself down, you just have to do it in a comedic way. As it shows a confidence in your self-awareness. You have to make her laugh while you do it, and then you have to move on from it. Making a joke about yourself is funny. Making non-stop jokes about yourself turns into a red flag. You can't intensely be self-deprecating because then it turns into, "this guy has some serious issues".

Important things: 0:26 First Thing ÷ Other Guys Don't Like You; 1:26 Second Thing ÷ Your Friends; 2:36 Third Thing ÷ Thinking That Self-Care Is For Women; 5:57 Fourth Thing ÷ Constantly Overreacting; 7:34 Fifth Thing ÷ Speaking Poorly About Yourself; 9:34 Sixth Thing ÷ Being Bad With Money; 11:01 Seventh Thing ÷ Following / Interacting With Instagram Models; 12:29 Bonus Thing ÷ Purchasing Haw Tua Merch and 13:38 to summarize all the told here.
What you have told Courtney for men (the red flags I mean), some of these red flags men judge for women as well. And this can be for either male or female friends. Sometimes men, and women do overreact, and they have to work on that not to react on it constantly, like you said Courtney. There are some occasions that even women are being bad with money (honor exceptions to those who are not behaving that way). The third thing that self-care is only for women, this can be only seen in younger ages. And when I say that, I mean that some boys have unintentional ways of thinking (honor exceptions to those who are not behaving that way). Cause in younger ages some of them they want to be hotshot (proving in the society that they can do this, that, etc.). In some younger ages it is good that, but as you get older, and you develop yourself, you realize that's the bad things you have done. The only thing you should done is to be good to yourself. Not in a selfish way, but in a self-care, to do not hang out with toxic people, to see the you are taking care of your health (physically and psychologically).
As for second thing, In Balkan peninsula we say this thing: "With whom you are, that who you will be." Reading between the lines means that with people who you hangout they can encourage you how to behave (either in good, or bad way). Sometimes we just have to see who are right and who are wrong people that we hangout, and to see who will stay in our life, and who will leave in our life.
Sometimes there is one conclusion that is generally here in the real life. And that is: "Two things that can turn into notorious rudeness are jealousy and primitivism." Sad, but true. Unfortunately some people are behaving like that (honor exceptions to those who are not behaving that way).
But let's say some positive thing as well. I always carry hand sanitizer wet wipes, wherever I go out from home. And I use them as needed.
Keep up the work Courtney ❤💙🤍.

As a guy who follows 0 instagram “models” I can tell you that the women offput by you following women who are often better looking then them are insecure, and them being turned off by it is rooted in their insecurity about them not being able to live up to what they perceive you will expect (by following these models). But it’s merely a perception. Women are competitive and hate when you think someone better looking then she thinks she is, is attractive because it makes them feel not enough. Understand though this is an unhealthy issue she has with being insecure with herself, being competitive with other women and reacting to external locus of control stimuli, and allowing her worth of herself to be affected by it. And then drawing assumptions and acting on them as fact. This all has nothing to do with you- the man. Just her issues. And I still don’t follow any of these “models”. I’d still argue it’s a problem if it seems like that’s all they are following on ig and or is building an obsession over one or two of these models. The algorithms of ig and other social media sites favor these models for men in 18-35 demographic anyway so dating if they are on socials comes with the territory. The occasional girl that shows up on the feed and catches his eye is nothing to be worried about. If she flips out over noticing one “like” then yeh that’s on her. However, no man who’s actually ready to make a commitment to a relationship is going to spend time following and or obsessing over ig models! They are the low hanging fruit on social media for a reason. As men we shouldn’t apologize for liking what we like but we all need to keep our expectations in check.

Plus I prefer a very small groups of loyal friends who have my back and so many people are fake and superficial these days and I don't want that just to make it appear that I have more "friends" than I actually do so a woman will be impressed.

I spent 10 years+ in the military, which for better and for worse is still a man's world, and guess what? you learn to take care of yourself. You learn to cook. To iron your shirts. It's not gay or feminine, it's showing that if you can take of yourself, there just might be a chance that you can take care of someone else too.

Courtney, you nailed it! Not having friends is a big red flag, I've been thinking about it for a long time and maybe that's why I'll never have a girlfriend. I really try but unfortunately I can't. At this time of year there are parties every weekend in every village around here and I force myself to go (it's hard being an introvert with social phobia), just yesterday I went with my parents and cousins to one. I saw groups of friends and tried to socialize and ended up with a panic attack and anxiety, for no reason. Even on the internet I feel the same, that's why I started forcing myself to write comments on videos I like on youtube to try to overcome this phobia. Maybe one day I will succeed but it will probably be too late.
I've improved a lot in recent years, thanks to a psychologist, at least I don't talk badly about myself anymore and I have a self-care routine.

I disagree. This isn't a rule of thumb, but as you get older, your circle gets smaller. Heck, even some people don't have friends anymore. I mean, when I was 18-26, I thought I had people who I thought were friends and family. But slowly, people either changed or showed their true colors, and people became more involved in family life, carer, etc.
I feel like many people in my age group/class year had a child or children a few years after we graduated. from my interactions with many high school folks, Most of them don't or have lost connection with former friends. We, because I’m putting myself as well, don't have many friends or choose to associate with a few people.
I have a good number of friends and co-workers who mostly focus on their job and family. It's crazy because some of them Dont even spend a lot of time with their families or friends because they’e working a lot.

@@letsgetit90 I agree with what you said, we “lose” friends with age. It's normal because we change as the years go by and it's normal for our interests to change too. Life is a journey and for a while you're in someone's company and then they go their own way. Having a few friends or even just one friend is much better than many or none at all. All those experiences and people who have passed through your life have made you grow up and realize what kind of people you want around you.
But that's not the case for me, I'm in my 30s and I've never had friends and probably never will because I have social phobia. I try to overcome it, but it's very difficult. I go somewhere and suddenly I feel like my neck is being squeezed, I can't breathe and the earth is spinning too fast. About 5 years ago, I couldn't even write this message, but I managed to overcome this problem. I'm very happy with myself, but I still have a long way to go. I've tried online dating and when I tell a girl I don't have any friends, they disappear. This is my experience, like everything else, it doesn't apply to everyone. Do women ever over react ? So it's social status. Looks and money. No speak of inner virtue or morals. She spoke like it's more about the cover of the book. What you look like socially what you look like physically and what you look like financially. If you chose a book solely by the cover you might be surprised once you start looking more deeply into the contents of the book. That's how you can tell weather it's a good book or not. You can have a really nice fancy well put together cover. But when you start reading it's poorly written no intellect. Women say if it has a nice cover it must be a really good book.

Spot on with first point! When I met my wife I really only had one good female friend and 3 male friends. After meeting them my wife told me she was surprised how good hearted all my friends are. My response is that's why I guess I only have 4 friends, as the people I chose to spend time or keep in touch with are really good nature, unassuming people. The worst girlfriend I had in college, I found out later that she didn't have a single friend from high school. I found out the reason she wasn't a good girlfriend, nor friend and that was a big part of why people didn't keep in touch with her. (not the other way around) Thanks for the video. I found it funny that quite a few times female acquaintances would comment on how 'clean' I was. I always thought this was a weird comment, and didn't understand what they meant, even after being told this several times over the years. I still really don't understand it. So does it mean most guys they dated or known before had bad hygiene? Is it that they had tattoos? Into drugs? Drank alcohol? Still seems weird to me that they would mention it. Did any of the women reading comments ever tell a guy he is clean?

OK gotta comment here. Most men I meet like me but most women do not want to date me; I don’t care about female friends because I really have nothing in common with 99.9% of them and I always used to get stuck in the friendzone. Would women like my friends? Of course not because, as I’ve said, women have nothing in common with me but my friends do! I take care of myself but always dress casually; if the choice is comfort or looking good, I choose comfort! And the flag about talking badly about yourself is tricky. As I’ve had mostly bad luck with women my whole life, I really do have self-image issues. I’ve learned how to avoid revealing most of my self-doubts but I believe my body language and mannerisms give me away. I think that’s why most women reject me before I open my mouth. It’s funny because I’ve read that it’s good to be in touch with yourself. Really? I believe that if you know all your weaknesses and flaws then it’s extremely difficult to maintain a positive self-image.

Being "sigma" is not masculine at all, even though many people who find it appealing think it is. It is not a virtue by mimicking stoicism (which in itself is not a virtue but a vice of pride) or anything of the sort. Rather, it is a resignation signal. Deciding to go "sigma" means that you gave up on ambition and responsibility, which is not masculine. The fact is that becoming happy and successful, which radiates power and confidence, is achieved by living completely the opposite from how a "sigma" wolf is supposed to live. You need to interact with others in various transactions of life, and learn to give and receive credits and gratifications to/from others. Being stubborn with DIY attitude makes you inefficient and does not produce results as it consumes a lot you time and effort. Sigma wolf is also not a leader of the pack. He does not have a pack. And that is not good nor attractive. He is just a lonely wolf, irrelevant.

Eh, I keep it very simple, and my ease in interacting with women is kinda effortless. My personal trick is to ALWAYS stay physically fit. Yep, that’s right! My number one priority is always to stay physically fit. The irony is that so many people find it difficult to get fit, then struggle with so many other issues (depression, health issues, negativity, and so much more). In contrast, I don’t struggle with any of that stuff because it simply does not find its way to me. So maybe… just maybe… do yourself a favor and do your best to stay physically fit. Staying fit inspires others around you. People get inspired and start jogging the next day after they see my abs, razor-sharp nipples, and how the sunlight and shadows magically make me look like an abstract work of art. Very comical but true.

I knew one woman who always had a red flag test. If her dog (golden retriever) didn't like you right away, that was a HUGE red flag for her. The dog liked nearly everyone, but every once in a while it came across someone who for whatever reason, the dog just didn't like. She trusted the dog's judgement...sometimes as much as her own.
To the point about negative talk....I do this a lot. Simply put, I don't feel I've accomplished a lot. I'd rather be extremely humble and don't like talking about our accomplishments. A good example, when my Mom was sick in the hospital, she was forever telling the nurses that I had run the Boston Marathon twice, and had run 20 marathons. I would always tell them "She's overstating my credentials....I'm really not that spectacular." One of the nurses put me in my place one day when she said "It's a mother's right to brag on her kids. You shouldn't try to take that right away from her by downplaying what you did." I've also turned down promotions at work before, because even though the bosses believed I was the best person for the promotion, I felt I had not done enough to warrant that promotion. Simply put, some of us believe we need to be spectacular in order to not talk negative. Good enough isn't good enough. And if that's a red flag, so be it.

    • @mihaelstancirevic4178

Being truly humble (which means down to earth) is a virtue. Yet, in modern dating scene you will not find many people who value it. In fact, vices get picked out again and again over virtues in general. Even worse, a lot of people is so indulged in pursuing pleasure for themselves that they can't even recognize virtues at themselves and others.
Btw. has this woman who trusted her dog's intuition remained single or got divorced? I wouldn't be surprised at all with either of these.

Some uncommon red flags I'd put out there:
#1: Doesn't follow your advice in something that you have very clear expertise in. This isn't about how women should be submissive or just "shut up and listen", but instead it's about how she doesn't lean on your expertise when you have a heavy background in something like advanced computer technical knowledge or mechanical expertise. Instead she decides to listen to a random friend or only goes to a father figure who doesn't have the same level of knowledge you might have. Again, as always, context and nuance applies.
#2: Her "feelings" are always right, regardless of the facts. When anyone bases their decision-making skills on intuition and feelings and don't take time to understand the facts or do research, this is a large sign that they may likely have Borderline Personality Disorder or some other cognitive issue that pushes them to ignore fact-based outcomes. Again, as always, context and nuance applies.
#3: Declares themselves a "people-pleaser". From my experience, this tends to be someone who doesn't understand how to be in a mutually respectful relationship. Depending on their other personality traits, this could be someone who has a lot of unresolved past trauma that they are playing out in ways where they feel like just constantly giving to someone else will be the answer to their problems. Again, as always, context and nuance applies.

There is a complete difference in the energy even though you might be talking about the same growth area (or perceived weakness/limitation). A good example for myself -- I don't think I'm a good looking guy (though many women have expressed otherwise). But by speaking honestly about my self-perceptions and how it's a growth area, I've noticed that women find me MORE attractive because I can be transparent/honest and I'm more emotionally connected (to myself). And of course, it also relates to feminine struggles on perception/beauty/etc as well, further making a circle of empathy/connection.

To a man, "clothes that fit you" are simply clothes that you physically fit inside comfortably. As in not so tight that they're uncomfortable or restrict your movement, and not so loose that they interfere with your movement (sleeves over your hands, pants that scrape the ground, baggy items that snag on obstacles, etc).
If you mean anything in addition to that you'll need to say it plainly.
