    So many choices in Dublin to go eat quality food. One Society Cafe for tasty casual dining, The Winding Stair restaurant which is pricey but worth it. Mr S or F.X Buckleys for a steak dinner and interesting starter selections and numerous other restaurants to try.

    As a Dubliner who lived in The Liberties, I really loved your video! You did really well in your choices, particularly Gallagher's Boxty House and Queen of Tarts. (Next time try Elephant and Castle for burgers/chicken and Leo Burdocks, (take away only) for fish and chips. Also great to see Fallon's Pub featured at the end, an absolutely typical 'Old School' Dublin pub frequented in the main by real Dubliners, and Much Cheaper then 'Temple Bar Area' prices. xx SF

    The little orange fruit on top of the cheesecake is called Physalis or Cape Gooseberry. Nice and tart and prepares your taste buds for the sweet treat to follow. I'm Irish and glad to hear that you enjoyed your time with us!

    Hi Guys, have come across your channel over the past few day’s. Madalyn love the natural urge to eat fish n chips straight up, as I’m sure anyone would ❤ and Adam love your food choices off the different menus. Craziest thing I’m vegan. I’ve viewed several of your videos, you both come across as very warm likeable characters who really have a passion for trying all different types of food.

If you wanna try more Indian food then you can also visit Indian Vibe restaurant in Navan, Ireland.

    You don't have to put white and black pudding in the coddle.Basically it was the dish of the poor in dublin and therefore they put in whatever they had into it and left out what they didn't.

    Ireland is not the "British isles". It's something to avoid saying in Ireland. But in any case that term is no longer accepted officially since 1998.

    • @trevaudio
      @trevaudio ปีที่แล้ว

      Ireland, geographically is part of the British Isles !

    • @williambabe3032
      @williambabe3032 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      “Officially” is meaningless, only usage counts, and not just in Ireland.

    • @mikki3562
      @mikki3562 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      As I've said before, that term used in relation to Ireland is not a geographical term, it is a colonial term that never was accepted in Ireland. The British simply pretend it is somehow compelling, which is ridiculousl.@@trevaudio

    • @mikki3562
      @mikki3562 ปีที่แล้ว

      Since when is "officially" meaningless? The only usage of the colonial, term British isles, is in the British media and educational output. This derives from the official British government position of not recognising Irish independence in their own law, ie. the Ireland Act 1949. It also derives from our unfinished revolution to remove British rule from the six-counties in the north of Ireland. Your usage is yours, it is not ours and we are the ones to call our country by the name we choose including its political and geographical references.@@williambabe3032

    • @themaskedman221
      @themaskedman221 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@mikki3562 That's nonsense -Ireland is geographically part of the British Isles and always has been since the area was mapped. What's ridiculous is thinking you're going to change how everyone uses this term by blurting on TH-cam.

  • @cl-optix
    @cl-optix ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Is it black pudding or white? Coddle is a dublin dish of ham, pork sausage, potatoe, veg or chicken stock, onion, celery, carrot and parsley. Pudding is not usually in it but I think white pudding would be better than black in coddle if you wanted to add that.

    It's not soda bread , that was wheaten bread.
    A soad bread , is actually called soda farl , it's about an inch or just over thick , white and shaped like a triangle , if you go up to Northern Ireland , you'll get soad bread and better stew .
    Stews a bit watery ., It looks more like a casserole .

    You need to tighten up your video. It all looked great but learn how to pronounce things. Explain what is a boxty? Tell us a little something about St Patrick’s Cathedral other than it’s “old.” What’s the architectural style? What is exactly is a coddle? A Victoria sponge is classic. Why? What tea would be best and why? Sauce with fruit? Seriously, when doing a food tour, one needs to actually know more about food and be able to discern what fruit is in the sauce. The “old harp.” Your lack of culture is astounding with the meh vibe regarding Trinity College. What is the Book of Kells? Anything about the Long Room. Just some old library. Do better.
