Most burger places here in Ireland won't cook med-rare because it's not officially allowed accord to food standards for ground beef, but if it's a cut of beef like a ribeye or fillet you can have it raw (steak tartare) if you want. Tartare is considered difference because it's knife cut and served to order, not ground in a machine. I agree about bunsen, its really good. I prefer El Grito to Masa. Masa is owned and operated by Irish people, El Grito is Mexican owned and operated, and about half the price.

I was in Ireland a while back visiting relatives and I had a hankering for a juicy burger. When I ordered I asked for it to be cooked medium rare and I was immediately jumped on by the waiter and my cousins. VERY loudly. That I most certainly cannot have anything but well done! Their reaction was not a waiter et al simply informing me of the rules. They were true believers who were horrified that I would take my life in my hands in such a way. The burger was good, but I had to wait until I made it back to the USA for a very juicy American one!
Temple Bar is a tourist trap/pub theme park thet is designed with the sole purpose of seperating you from your money by grossly overcharging for everything. Dont go there tourists, you will miss out on absolutely nothing.
Yes you will miss out. Temple bar has easily the highest concentration of Irish music, dancing and or cultural shows in Dublin. If tourists want to pay over the odds for this let them.
You should try Ian’s Kitchen for breakfast/lunch. Cluck for Chicken Burgers or chicken tenders. Deano’s or Rascals for Pizza. Featherblade for beef burgers. Yamarmori for noodles.

Fifty years ago, when I lived in Dublin, no one had ever heard of tacos. My mom sent me a tin of tortillas, a can of diced chiles, refried beans, and salsa. I got the right spices at an Indian spice shop and made Mexican rice. I had a taco party. My Irish friends loved them. I also had to make my own pizza because none was available. Now, tacos and pizza are all over the place. You can get rare steaks or prime rib.

Temple bar, started out as the place where free thinkers, artisans and artists took residence, because the rents were cheap in a place where it was earmarked to be demolished to build a bus station. it became so popular that the developers moved in, and all those free thinkers, and artists were forced out, the last of them recently with the closure of the Icon factory and the Icon walk, to make way for yet another fast food takeaway. money speaks louder than art, especially here in Dublin where i live. Oh, by the way, Burdocks fish and chips, yeah another tourist trap, no better or worse than most take aways in Dublin. when my mother bought her fish and chips there in the 1940s/50s and 60s, its was beef fat over a coal fired fryer, now its vegetable il like anywhere else. it certainly not worth a visit, certainly not worth their inflated prices!

Northern Ireland cuisine Irish cuisine is Irish cuisine if they said Ulster slight variation. Boxty House it’s in Temple Bar is a take on Irish food. That’s a little bit more modern than Irish food but very good. Seafood Café excellent. Well, Ireland has the most excellent seafood you will ever imagine and fish and chips. You can’t go to the Leo Burdock for fish and chips. If you went up to Howth , it’s about a half an hour north of Dublin OMG, the best seafood in the world and great fish and chips The Irish aren’t as loud as thier American cousins
Locals avoid Temple Bar. Like the plague. Full of tourists and overpriced food and drink. Ah yeah, but the Palace Bar is one of the better ones in Temple Bar. But, I would have walked 5 minutes to The Gingerman instead.
Late to the party here, but your question about Beef steak and mince rarity is exactly what you thought! Steak can be ordered however you like, however, food safety standards indicate that ground mince meat should always be cooked through. Eating even a medium burger can have serious risks, but Bunsen seem to be doing it right.

Ground beef should be cooked well done. It’s not like a steak where the meat inside is protected. Ground beef is fully exposed to air and therefore can be exposed to bacteria.

I'm from Dublin, and can confirm that the Temple Bar area is utter garbage that is mostly purely overpriced tourist scam. There are a few decent places in that area, like Seafood Café , but for most things, there are much better places within a 5 minute walk. There's also a lot of places that trade on the decent brand they've built up in other locations that open a place there and serve shite. (Burdocks) Have eaten in most of the places shown, but the one that stands out that I haven't, is ? The Pickle. I need to visit it.
The food at Pickle was mouthwatering and fragrant, overall a nice experience, the only thing to warn you about though is the server keeps bugging you if you want any more dishes to up his sale. Me and my husband just ordered 2 items but he kept insisting to get one more entree etc. Anyways, please share your wisdom on any other good places! If direct flights to Dublin go on sale, I'll be more than happy to hit ur recommended spots

I live about an hour away from Dublin..i only go there if i absolutely have to doctor appointments etc..my god its a hell hole 🤦😂i felt safer in the dark back alleys of Amsterdam.. all the comments"omg i can't wait to visit Dublin" the drugs and homelessness and lack of police is like no other city in Europe..apart from that enjoy👍lol

Howth, just a 40 min train ride away from Dublin was a charming seaside town with tons of great seafood, amazing service and people! Also reasonable prices :-) Beshoffs The Market & Beshoffs Sea Grill was the place i visited (I also made a video there)! Guinness seemed to be great every where, but although the Guinness storehouse had a great view, it's crowded, no place to sit, so I didn't get to enjoy it there hehe. I'd say Guinness hits you differently after walking around and chilling by the sea in Howth ❤️

If you're in The Palace Bar - they used to sell "D'Arcy's Double Stout" a much better pint than their Giuinness

I live about an hour away from Dublin..i only go there if i absolutely have to doctor appointments etc..my god its a hell hole 🤦😂i felt safer in the dark back alleys of Amsterdam.. all the comments"omg i can't wait to visit Dublin" the drugs and homelessness and lack of police is like no other city in Europe..apart from that enjoy👍lol
interesting! I live in L.A so Dublin (central area) was immaculately clean and safe in my eyes 👁️👁️😁 I guess Dublin does have its shady neighborhoods huh? where would those areas be?

Howth, just a 40 min train ride away from Dublin was a charming seaside town with tons of great seafood, amazing service and people! Also reasonable prices :-) Beshoffs The Market & Beshoffs Sea Grill was the place i visited (I also made a video there)! Guinness seemed to be great every where, but although the Guinness storehouse had a great view, it's crowded, no place to sit, so I didn't get to enjoy it there hehe. I'd say Guinness hits you differently after walking around and chilling by the sea in Howth ❤️
