Man I remember leading up to 2012 I was pretty nervous (also very young at the time so give me a break haha), I mean by the time it actually came around I was pretty confident the world wasn't ending, but what cracks me up is every single time the world doesn't end the theorists go into full damage control like "oh its actually 2029" or "the world actually DID end and this is the afterlife" or any other cope haha. I may be wrong, but I think the megafauna one is referring to megafaunal mass extinction. Throughout human existence we’ve seen a mass dying off of megafauna and the ones that are left, that aren’t domesticated, are mostly in decline. Their extinction is a threat not only because of their place in the food web, but also due to impact they are supposed to have on the environment.

The Noospheric Contamination seems to be something I have seen in Fallout and which is a part of other stories set after an apocalyptic event. All structures and authorities break down, so any semblance of humanity and society before the collapse is gone, with different survivor groups, some driven by drugs or madness, developing their own completely new and different values and systems, far away from the norms of the pre-apocalyptic society.

The thing that I love about Yog-Sothoth is that, conceptually speaking, no human mind can create something that’s stronger than him. Since he’s higher than existence itself. It would be hard to come up with an idea that can realistically put another entity on a higher level. You can’t just say “oh this new entity resides BEYOND what’s OUTSIDE the universe.”

A weird one I sort of half remember from way back was The Anti-Verse which was the idea if our universe is made up of matter then there could be a universe made of Antimatter.. the idea also expands into if universe was created by God then the Anti-verse would have its own Antimatter God or Anti-God... this two beings are natural against each other due to how antimatter and matter cant exist in the space etc but like I said I'm only have remembering it from sometime ago so im no doubt missing a lot of details XD

So what are the odds this is base reality?

If grey goo did convert organic to inorganic then we may accidently create it by trying to remove excess carbon from the atmosphere. Carbon is very useful because it can produce long chains unlike, say, silicone so grey goo would most likely be organic.
Supervolcano is a term that was invented by the media. Geologists don't class some volcanoes as supervolcanoes and it is a bit of a contentious term. Normally what we think of as a supervolcano - the ability to create ash etc over a certain amount with a V8 eruption - means there are not over 20 of them. I can't remember the range of possible ones but it's under 10 "supervolcanoes" and may be under half a dozen.

Heard this story somewhere where humans were able to discover the secrets of imortality and fountain of being youth.
They however wasnt satisfied as they see life as nothing more than a repetitive cycle and concluded that there is nothing special about the traditional concept of imortality.
Later they discovered a new technology where you can opt to simulate or relive your life as if you were re-experiencing them for the first time.
This too however was eventually criticized as future humans deemed it much more unethical since you are trapping yourself in an illusion of just the same repetitive cycle they faced before. Rebirth, Living your life, finding no purpose and then deciding to reboot from the start.
At this stage however there were some serious scrutiny since a large portion of the population lives in a very ideal and optimal state where they thrive as being rich in all aspects of life.
So they decided to survey the populace those who would continue on with the new technology and who would like to revert back to mortality to experience death and peace.
Another breakthrough technology was discovered. This time, one can opt to experience death but will have the option to transfer all his/her memory, experiences and knowledge for or to somebody else to relive it. This was by far the most accepted option as it gives each human both the first two options.
The end was kinda a bit existential where the humans parted ways. One side of the universe where everyone wanted to become immortal and the other side where everyone wants to remain mortal.
At some point the mortals eventually perished while the immortals thru gaslighting themselves decided to transfer all their memories experiences and such into one single being.
This being lasted for so long butvin the end decided to shut down the entire thing. It wasnt the ultimate end though, It was merely a reboot of everything where something comes out of nothing.
It was implied in the end that even with our conscious choice to end everything,
It will always find a way from scratch to repeat over and over.

Considering the time it will take for some of these to happen the probability and improbability of some of the others, my money goes on humans been responsible for the end of days. I always remember a line from T2 Judgment Day the good terminator said "humans its in your nature to destroy yourselves.
