    The only reason The Switch has so much doubt is cuz of the WiiU. Which is kind of unfair, cuz it's not like Sony/Microsoft haven't had garbage systems in the past.

    • @MrBKainX
      @MrBKainX 7 ปีที่แล้ว +86

      Well "garbage" is subjective, but neither sony or Microsoft have had a console less successful than wiiu.

      The Vita is a good system, there really isn't much wrong with it besides the needless extras taped on because of mix-direction. The Vita actually shares a lot of similarities with the Switch.

      Or four. It's funny, being unsure about the touchscreen and the gyro - they haven't dominated the control scheme, but they not only make all those Wii and Wii U ports possible, little things like Gyro aiming, or touch in Mario Maker (or the way you can use touchscreen to imitate gyro handheld, or vice versa) turns out to have been the right choice.

      -$70 pro controller
      -$80 joycons
      -very, very vague about details
      -the very poor launch lineup even considering how most launch lineups tend to be poor, this is especially so.
      -the "rental" issue
      -the virtual console being a dripfeed in general
      -voice chat is done from an app on your phone
      etc

      Sandy Wich+ Kids don't complain about prices as they aren't the ones paying for it. Adults complain about prices because they actually work for their money and have to spend it on many things like bills. So yes 10 dollars extra can make a difference for some in the bigger picture.

    • @xyzqsrbo
      @xyzqsrbo 7 ปีที่แล้ว +35

      suda actually went off script and he had to translate on hand. Hence why he had to wait till the end of sentences to translate as the general placement of everything is different for japanese and english.

    • @GamezPlayerX
      @GamezPlayerX 7 ปีที่แล้ว +20

      He didn't get breaks to translate. So first of all, it's really hard to even know what's important to translate. And while translating, you don't hear what the japanese guy is saying, so you miss out on that too.

    • @xyzqsrbo
      @xyzqsrbo 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Bertram Hilhorst My reasoning is a lot more sound as all the other translators did just fine. Also they were all free hand translating as they heard it then why would all the other ones do it easily.?

    • @HaxHaunter
      @HaxHaunter 7 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      all translators have a translated copy of the script of each person they are translating, that way it will feel natural like if they were translating perfectly.
      however, Like xyzqsrbo said, Suda went off script and the translator had to improvise and translate. it could've cost him his job thanks to Suda as well.

    Well I know how you think $300 is to much but let me explain something to you. The PS4 at launch was $400. Then the Xbox one was $500. And the Nintendo Switch is $300. As of now the Xbox One and PlayStation are indeed $250 but it's because they have been out in stores for so long. I'm not trying to be rude and everyone has an opinion but I'm just saying 💯😌

    • @TharusPSN
      @TharusPSN 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      The switch really isn't $300 though.
      You don't get enough USb-c cables so you'll need to spend more unless you want to disconnect your doc from the wall every time you leave. $7-$10
      32GB is not enough memory for more than 2 games downloaded at a time... 200GB card for memory is cheap but that's still $70
      Guess what no ethernet port you need the $30 adapter for better connection/faster downloads
      If you have more than 1 tv unlike laptops you can't just plug and go with a tv you need to buy a second dock or completely disconnect the one you have every time. $90 extra dock
      want a second controller well they are $70 and $80 when the DS4 is $47
      Voice chat isn't included in the system its a separate app that isn't fully unlocked unless you buy it... that also means you can't voice chat without a smart phone so hope you aren't a kid or a person with a Windows phone/blackberry or anything not supported. Price? Who knows.
      Get ready for that monthy subscription price also that gives you a 1 game rental a month when the competition give 6 permanently free games every month.
      Hope you weren't expecting even a noticeable visual upgrade over the previous system because you don't get that either in fact its a substantial visual downgrade over the competition. And I know the PS4 launched with 26 games on day 1 well you get 5 on switch and a year full of games that released several years ago.

    • @aeonicbismuth5547
      @aeonicbismuth5547 7 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      Evan C 32GB is more than enough because the games are cartridge based, which means they do not need to be installed onto the system like disk games

    • @TharusPSN
      @TharusPSN 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Bloop iero I wouldn't consider any of those unnecessary this isn't fucking 2008 your competition has everything you don't. Easy access to emulation we've had for 15 years on PC. N64 didn't have a good launch line up but had such a incredible jump in visuals SM64 couldn't be done on the previous gen and looked like a dream... it wasn't a minor resolution bump to a game on previous gen also. N64 also sold horribly!

      +Evan C Who the hell doesn't have a spare phone charger in 2017...? You bring up some good points besides that, but the thing about the USB-C cable was kind of ridiculous... You NEED a spare charger specifically to take with you in public, because you don't want your main one to get lost if you need to charge your phone somewhere public...

    "Very few first party games this year":
    Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
    1-2 Switch
    Snipperclips
    Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
    Arms
    Splatoon 2
    Super Mario Odyssey
    Xenoblade 2
    Fire Emblem Warriors
    ... And that's just what we know right now in January! So sick of people saying this is a poor launch window! This is one of Nintendos best launch windows.

    • @oxenford539
      @oxenford539 7 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Xenoblade is made by Monolith, and Fire Emblem Warriors is made by Koei Tecmo. They're not 1st party titles.That leaves only 7, 2 of which are ports: Mario Kart and, while not released yet, Zelda - as it was developed for the WiiU.

    • @alexbianchi93
      @alexbianchi93 7 ปีที่แล้ว +18

      Even with those facts, this launch is still better than most Nintendo launches. And while it's not saying much, it's leagues better than Wii U launch.

    • @alexbianchi93
      @alexbianchi93 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not to mention, it looks like they are slowly releasing information throughout the year. At e3 we have to see new games coming fall 2017 to summer 2018. And if we don't, then we can start to worry. But it's way too early to say this is a poor launch window lineup.

    Breath of the Wild looks amazing, but when you factor in Mario Odyssey AND Xenoblade 2 now the Switch becomes a must have system. For anyone who hasn't played the original Xenoblade on Wii I highly suggest downloading it from the eshop. It's probably my favourite game ever. Monolith Soft is the Square Enix of Nintendo.

      PGSawesome VI.
      Don't you think it is a little odd that VI dipped in steam punk and questions about god hood?
      yup, that's the work of the director of the Xeno series.
      To be fair IX is my third favorite FF, it would probably be the first or second if it didn't punish you to get to the secret bosses and quests, also the last boss was absolute garbage.
      Probably the best cast and art style tough (even if Both Tactics and VI are also extremely rich in both aspects)

      @TheOverlordomar 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Xevyer Delarkins A series of games by the studio Monolith soft.
      It's first entry was Xenoblade chronicles for the Wii, it is an Action/RPG with a rich story, characters and Soundtrack, a very, very good game. If you are into Jrpgs, you should definitely play it.
      The second entry, Xenoblade Chronicles X, is not related to the first entry and has much more focus on exploration, featuring a gigantic world chock full of content. The story and Music is nowhere near a strong as the first entry but the characters, side quest and combat are top notch, not to mention that's probably the best Open world I've ever played.
      A new entry was announced for the Nintendo switch recently, we don't know much right now, but chances are this entry is actually connected to the first game. It is also note worthy that they brought the original composers back (HYPE).
      Very good games, if you are into Rpgs they are definitely worth your time.

      I think the problem was Nintendo's lack of focus on it. At the presentation it looked like a cute little demo, something you'd play for an hour and never touch again. It looked interesting to me, so I looked into it and there's definitely way more depth than it seems. The ability not to use motion controls, customisation, multiple fighters etc.
      It feels like a really nice spin on the classic Punch Out style with more content and depth and action, and honestly I'm actually excited for it.

    • @AdvancePlays
      @AdvancePlays 7 ปีที่แล้ว +25

      I totally agree. 1 2 Switch is NOT the best demonstration of the updated controller. ARMS should've had much more focus not just because it's a real game as opposed to a collection of minigames, but because it can demonstrate both the JoyCon's motion AND regular controls.

    Something you should really know.
    ALWAYS. BUY. PHYSICAL.
    The system is cartridge based, and because of it, it's faster than discs. When ever you pop in a disc for the first time, it almost always had to do an installation to speed up gameplay later on.
    The switch's cartridges don't require such a task and will boot up immediately (example, every 3Ds game), and you will save directly on the cartridge (Remember, Memory Cards came out when discs did). Because of its Cartridges, 32 GB is not that bad.

      Joycons cost 80 and the pro controller costs 70. Wii motes still cost 50 and so do Wii U pro controllers. No way the technology didn't drop in price yet. This way the standard for a controller will be 150 in the end because it's normal for it to be more expensive than the last controller and it's normal for it to never drop in price.

    WHY does everyone complain that $300 is too expensive? It's ludicrous. Wii U - $300 launch price. Xbox One - $500 launch price. PS4 - $400 launch price. The last system to be released for $250 was the Wii - over 10 years ago! Even the PS2 and Xbox were more than $250! I'm all for pointing out Nintendo's flaws but this is not one of them.

    • @Pit_Wizard
      @Pit_Wizard 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Also, I did some inflation calculations. $250 in 2006 (the year the Wii was released, and the last time a console was $250) is equal to about $300 in 2016 (not enough data for 2017 yet). If the Switch would have been released at $250, that would have been like $200 in 2006 bucks. The Switch is essentially the same price that the Wii was.

It's humorous that the same people talking bad about the Switch's specs play on PS4 and Xbox One, neither of which have impressive specs at all. And can you take them with you portably? Fuck no, in fact there's no innovation whatsoever. Nintendo Switch is clearly a better value proposition with better games, better controllers, better storage medium, better load times, better everything. This is just the beginning.

The use of a sesame street esque puppet is a really interesting way to make videos that I actually haven't seen before on TH-cam in the way it is being done on this channel (And I watch A LOT of TH-cam). It's refreshing and creative I like and just wanted to say keep at it man your doing great things and are improving the site by adding your creativity.

      Actually that has not been confirmed. That is speculation. Headsets designed for the switch specifically say connect to the system, and they come with a mic. The switch audio jack also supports mic input, according to the official Japan website. There is more proof supporting the fact that the console will support voice chat than not being able to. Besides, even if it doesn't at launch a system update can fix it pretty easy, considering it already has a mic port, Bluetooth, and USB inputs on the dock.
      Update: For anyone skeptical here is the link to the headset. Read the description.

Nintendo doesn't seem to want to put that final nail in the coffin of the 3DS quite yet so it might be a while until we see a Pokemon RPG on the Switch, but that doesn't mean we can't have other Pokemon games on it first. Just imagine how perfect a new Pokemon Snap game would be for the Switch.

    The new Mario being a real original and more story focused (kind of) and having a unique and non generic boring Mario art style gives me hope that they'll do the same for Paper Mario and bring the new games back into the mainline universe that the first three games took place in rather than the new storybook world that Sticker Star and Color Splash took place in with Paper Jam. Better more fitting non papery art style, enhanced and better RPG gameplay, partners with unique personalities and character development, original characters and friendly NPC's of typical Mario enemies, and big epic and grand stories with tones of depth and emotional complexity as well as being relatively dark for a Mario game. Games that expand the lore and characters' development and canon in the actual Mario universe like the first three games again.

    *warning, nerd rant* @6:38 you said "any micro-USB cable". I'd like to correct you. USB Type-C is not the same as micro-USB. micro-USB (also known as Micro USB-B) is used in cell phones and some other devices, and also come in various flavors, 4-pin, 5-pin, and 6-pin versions. For instance, the Playstation4 Controller uses the 5-pin USB Micro-B pinout, and the Playstation3 Controller uses the 4-pin USB Micro-B pinout. USB Type-C is a completely different animal, providing higher amperage and voltage than its predecessors, meaning the Switch is going to charge faster than your typical USB 3.0 device. Also, it's likely that's the connection point to the Switch Dock, which needs the 10Gbps speed for high-speed HDMI output.
    That said, USB Type-C, if Apple has their way, will likely become the new standard in USB connections anyway, and in the next few years, that's just going to be normal, and you will be right about "any old cable around the house" someday.

    I don't get why people hate motion controlls. just because it's been a thing for a while doesn't mean it's terrible. I'm even gonna stand up for the Wiis motion controlls because people really just exaggerate it.
    first the Wii. they were *very* responsive to me. I had Wii sports, Mario Galaxy one and two, and some random deigo game a realtive got me.
    I actually took care of my Wii motes and I still find them accurate and responsive here's some games that kinda show this.
    galaxy
    I never ever ended up yelling at the screen "but I shook the Wii mote!" when playing galaxy which doesn't use the Wii motion plus. the olny times I did mess up or die because of a spinning problem was when I spun too soon. if you actually play Galaxy there's a luma somewhere that tells you that you can't spin again untill the luma in your cap comes back. if you actually look the luma is popping out of Mario's cap after every spin. in galaxy, as well has said the special mechanics levels like rolling green and loop de loop galaxy were everywhere. and they were absolutely fine. I actually find the controlls really sensitive as I have tried to get Mario to stop while rolling on a ball and my best record for trying is around 3 minutes, at average five and a half. I recently tried this today as a form of research, if you will. it's hard to get that exact upright point to register because the motion controlls are actually pretty good back on the Wii (and I was actually concentrating on getting the controller upright. no baised carelessness or anything) and I honestly don't care about moving around when playing a game. its exercise and it's not really that much at the most. lazy people need to get off thier butts and shake a controller without crying geez.
    Wii sports resort
    this used the Wii plus but it's still hated on I mean like I didn't even see a problem with the Wii thing and just saw the plus as a waste of money. if you actually take care of the controller and don't over shake like a manic or throw them it's absolutely fine. but never less I gotta talk about this.
    -the air plane minigame
    this one was my favorite. I tried my best to find evrey I point but sadly to this day there's still one missing. the way to zoom up was to push forward and to slow down pull backwards. olny when I was frantically trying to zoom up repeatedly in the 2 player battle mode did it mess up and slow me down understandably because I was also pulling back quite fast to reset. that controller was a bad choice in my opinion but it wasn't shoehorned because 2 shot 1 gave a flare, I bet b did something but I can't remember and who care what dpad and a did because the main buttons you used were at the bottom and having you (especially a kid with small hands) slide up the Wii more then slide down would be annoying. the controlls were good. of course it operated like a plane so it did some commands slowly and sometimes not at all (flying straight up, making sharp turns, game wasn't coded to prepare you for landing on land so you had to be so careful and when you actually did it it would be a once in a blue moon thing and if you touched ANYTHING you would blow up etc) but the fact that it moved as if you were putting commands in as if you were flying a actual plane. the motion controlls made it very immersive and that's the reason why I played it so darn much.
    -swird fighting
    I played the crap. out of this game untill lvl 1000 miis started to show up. and let me tell ya, it was good. it did what I did when I did it. no lag, no exaggeration of weakness or power, just a pure response. once I had a numchuck that I got from good will plugged in for no reason and and so it wouldn't let me block but other than that, amazing controlls. the game told me once to aim at uncovered spots that are most effective (legs for pushing back people, chest because duh etc) when I aim at legs it hits legs no lag. when I decided to not really care and go crazy, it followed my moves mark my words. that sword fight duel minigame should become a online thing I swear it would be so fun. I wouldn't say the next smash bros but close
    •wii fit plus
    why Wii fit? they used motion a few times. the jogging game and the one where you tilt colored balls into buckets matching the same color. I won't speak about moving because it's easy to just take it. they didn't try muchfor decting cheaters at all. just sit and wiggle the Wii mote. but I will talk about the ball tilting one. playing video games with my body is so fun and I don't see how it can get old. not even shoe horned controlls didn't make it unfun. not feeling lazy for sitting on the couch and having full 100% controll with using your body was great. no more "but I pressed a at the edge there and it didn't register!!" the wii? just tilt it and it will no lag no lie copy your moves. I feel like I've been saying this a lot but seriously though, buy a brand spanking new Wii mote and play a Wii game. even in games when it's not the focus like Wii fit, it's still good and it's still fun. playing video games and doing exercise at the same time? as long at the games are fun and the motion decent enough to immerse you, sign me up! I usually just ignore getting tired when it's a good game. sword fighting? forget sweat I'll make you wall and get wet! galaxy? not even much of a try it's all in the wrist. ARMS? it looks like another great game like some things on Wii sports resort so I'm game! and if I get really tired like pacer test tired? I switch to normal like control and deal with that for a while.
    lazy people need to get up and lose some fat ffs. most motion games I see aren't even a chore and they aren't that terrible even hen shoe horned and it isn'tsuch a big deal such as mainstream same sh*t tubers say. for most motion complainers it's not even thier opinion and just because they did it a while doesent mean it's not still fun and cool. nintendo is at thier peak with the switch so we don't need to be hearing "oooo get sum new ideas for your consoles nintendo" for a while. motion controlls still have potential as with games with arms and shouldnt just be trashed because nobodys touched it. in my opinion you're basically saying the equivalent of "trash cake. it's been. an all time favorite desert that many people made great art out of but this been a thing for a long time so it's old and simply because of that it should be trashed." motion controlls have proved to be good and have potential many times over. if you're too picky and hate how they were on Wii then good news, they upgraded now, and are already feasting on potential with arms and 1 2 switch. I hate it when my favorite tubers pull the same stuff mainstream same sh*t tubers say just to get on the popular options good side when it's obvious you are under estimating stuff or trying to get likes. pokèmonons been out for a while, it still has potential, some people say it used to be bad, and has already/could have upgrades. trash pokèmon then? or how about 2d Mario? it can have potential as manypeople on Mario maker have shown, just because it's been out and people haven't put on the full potential before doesent mean it should be trashed now.

      candy-kat! kitty-lichious! I dislike them mostly for Nintendo's attitude towards developers and gimmicks. The Wii U failed hard (in part) because Nintendo forced its awful gimmicks on developers, insisting the pointless motion controls and second screen were part of everything (hence in most 3rd party games it's your inventory or map). They did the same with the Wii and its motion controls (which I personally thought were great once the motion plus came around, and I think Skyward Sword in particular was amazing). Here, my fear was that Nintendo would shove all these gimmicks down developers' throats again, but everything they have been saying about Nintendo this time suggests that Nintendo have given up on that approach and gone for developer friendly APIs combined with no annoying requirements (like using the touch screen or motion controls).

    • @boltstrike2787
      @boltstrike2787 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +candy-kat! kitty-lichious! Agreed, motion controls have done more to push the industry forward than the last 10 years of graphics whoring. Honestly, that's probably one of the most natural ways to evolve the industry at this point, graphics have gotten about as realistic as they can get, now it's time for controls to follow suit. Having controls that mirror real life actions would open up a lot of potential for future games and make them a lot more immersive, so the people that label them as "gimmicks" just look ignorant and closed-minded.

    • @candykatkittylichiousisthebomb
      @candykatkittylichiousisthebomb 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm glad I got some good replys here. I do get how developers do shoehorn motion controlls but I've olny seen that in a few games (a roller coaster tycoon where you tilt the wii mote to put how the track tilts, some things in that deigo game I got, the camera on the ship on Metroid blast,etc) but it's got potential and shouldnt be just trashed for being different or inventive or an attempt to impress fans while doing real work (those are all traits for things people keep calling "gimmicks". I don't see why nintendo fans still stick around when they get so triggered over motion controlls unlike me. Nintendo are the kings of "gimmicks" and that's good. And they aren't and shouldnt go to stop. Just leave the fanbase if you're gonna cry and tell nintendo not to do console gimmicks.) Like here's a problem I have; I actually enjoy minecraft on Wii u. (GASP I know. I'm not some stupid addicted fanboy kid I just like to play from time to time.) But I hate turning. The sensitivity options are crap. When I hate it high I turn fast but can't aim a bow or potion at all. But when I have it low I've basically committed suicide. On the Metroid ship the whole looking around with the game pad was weird because you also had to look directly above and directly below and the ship was fast. But if they put the ships controlls in Minecraft I would turn, and then the game would turn and it would be all at my own pace.
      Another example, maybe another spam something Mario party mini game? Shake the Wii mote hard and as much as possible.
      The way the Wii u tried to do motion was bad but I still feel I shouldn't hate on everything cuz there was a failed attempt. It's like a teacher saying
      "Ooh this kid made a mistake on the test!!!!!!! DELEQUINT STUPID KID IM NOT TEACHING YOU YOU SHOULD BE KICKED OUT OF SCHOOL CUZ YOU FORGOT SOME PARENTHESES WE AND PUT SOME PARENTHESES IN THE WORNG PLACE!!! YOU AND YOUR MISTAKE GIMMICKS" narrow minded as hell. Then there's the people with brains narrow as paper and are salty when anything new comes out. I'm not gonna yell at arlo because he was just a little worried and the fact that they haven't done anything with HD rumble other than put it in the tech demo release game (Wich supplies nothing to complain about because I believe nintendo make great tech demo games and that you can't deny how the marble mini game was cool and it's expected to put HD rumble in the tech demo game.) It's the people who screech at the HD rumble when there are over 80 games in development for switch and all of them from over 30 well educated companies on switch coding. Especially the ones who call themselves nintendo fans when it's expected for nintendo to add another "gimmick" I mean, it being both hand held and console is cool and all but it will get boring and (hopefully) just become the norm with nintendo. I think nintendo shows that they are gonna keep doing porta consoles by adding another trick to the console because it being both portable and console won't just do the trick where they're going.

    I feel like the inclusion of all the motion controls, HD rumble, and IR sensor is not to keep a foot in the past, but rather in the future. There are rumors that the Switch will incorporate VR in the future, and I believe that the inclusion of these features opens the door to many different possibilities with VR. By not including them, Nintendo would have completely edged themselves out of any future VR experiences with the Switch, so I think by including and exploring the limits of these arguably proactive features now, it will allow Nintendo to do greater things with the Switch in the future. It's always good to think ahead.

    They really hit the stuff I love, Disgaea 5, Xenoblade, big JRPG games. Almost makes me sad that I have a PS4 (which I only bought for Disgaea) because the games I'd get on ps4 look like they'll go to the switch.

      The switch has a lot of potential when it comes to the japanese market.
      Hand helds are King in japan, and they just announced Splatoon 2, 4 Dragon quest games and a new SMT.
      Those are very High profile titles in Japan by some of the most important video game companies in Japan.
      Regardless of how the switch does in general, i have a strong feeling it's gonna be a hit in japan, that will probably translate into a steady stream of japanese third parties.
      The switch is definitely interesting for any RPG fan (my self included) just look at the games, Xenoblade 2, 4 Dragon quests, a new main line SMT, a new IP by the guy that directed Bravely default and Disgaea 5.

    Thanks for another informative and fun video! I've been seeing all kinds of news on the Switch this past week, so it's great to come to a place where someone's laying it all out for me really clearly. :) I actually didn't even realize it had a touch screen until now!
    Also, to chime in on the online play, I personally don't see a problem with the system they're proposing. It makes sense to me that you'd be able to demo a game for a month before buying it, as opposed to the old Virtual Console system, where you just flat-out purchase the game--one you later may decide you don't love. Anyways, keep doing what you're doing and telling us all the good things (and the bad things, but in a positive light)!

    as a pc gamer. im not often seen in console hype videos. but today... i feel different. the switch, just like most of nintend. isnt a strong console, the graphics lack and the framerate doesnt reach higher than 60. but when we're talking about nintendo, i think: GOOD GAMES, and proving it can be done on lesser hardware. i really hope the switch stays pro consumer... please nintendo, please.

    Also, although I mostly agree with the pointless extra features on the joycons, accelerometers was absolutely great. Motion controls in Splatoon would be exclusive to handheld mode (if the tablet even had it), which would force me to never be able to play on the TV, which would be rather mean. The fact that motion controls will be in every game and a full accelerometer will be available for every play makes possibilities endless.
    Splitscreen Splatoon, man! That can finally happen!

    • @HyperLuigi37
      @HyperLuigi37 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm not nearly done with motion controls and now that I've had my motion controlled shooter I'm not sure I could play another shooter without it. Not to mention WWHD gyro aiming is something I hope stays on every Zelda game.

    • @tacowaco.

      If you watch people play Splatoon 2 in the demo, there are motion controls in the handheld tablet, the regular controller for use with the TV, and the pro controller if you want to buy one. Every way you can play Splatoon 2 has motion controls.

    I think that simple gyro controls are a must have, just because it works WONDERS for shooters and other first person games, but, yeah, as cool as the HD rumble and stuff is, they honestly could have left that out to make the system less expensive and it'd be fine.

    You are my favorite person to hear talk about this thing! Everyone else is a bit more pessimistic about it, yet, even with a light launch you still see more than meets the eye and the true potential of the system and the company, without completely ignoring the negatives. I applaud your optimism. Now I'm even more excited for the switch!

    Thanks for this video I totally agree. I'm even positive on the motion control/HD rumble stuff. I feel like Wii motion control in Sports Resort and Skyward Sword was already pretty good and it can do more; in 1st person shooters it's much more accurate than using analog sticks for instance - and thankfully it's all optional. Feels like they tried to cram in a whole bunch of ideas and options for gameplay while leaving a core system that if need be, can play normal ports of 3rd party games without any of the other optional features. But mostly excited about the games they developed - getting back to the days when they put out deep open innovative games. I'm playing Mario 3d World now and loving it but it's so basic compared to Mario 64/Sunshine.
