Lost by 2 cars in my S2k vs cammed C6. He had 500whp I had 520whp and he got me. Corvettes are fast all motor.

Hey I’m super late on this but what did you set your rev limiter to with the centrifugal cam? I’m probably about to put one in mine as well but I know the stage 3 btr cam can rev out to 7000rpm and I was wondering if this would be safe to go around 6800 or so
I would assume so, mine revs to about 6700, but I could stretch it to 7000 and it would probably still be fine
My Ls2 stroker had no problem to 7400. New ls3 427ci is almost in the car, 7600 rpm CamMotion LLSR.

What mods did your friends c7 have and how much hp was it?
I believe he was intake/exhaust/header/e85/tune and was the 8 speed auto

They were auto generated from the last setup, thank you for mentioning that actually I need to fix that

Like the content! Newer c6 owner. I got a headers and tune. It’s nice rn but really want to do cam. I drive auto 09 base and max I can do on stock converters is stage 2. I’m really considering it
once you go cammed you won't go back, but an auto 6 speed c6 with a cam is fast, especially if you go with a different stall converter too and get a real big cam

This was a terrific video showing c6 content, I’m interested in selling my twin turbo bmw for a c6 and I wanted to know how the power felt/looked for daily. This video made me forsure want a c6 with 500whp for a daily driver. And I’m 18 the chicks will go crazy. I guess they dunno what cool bmws are but everyone knows what a corvette is
Thanks so much! And for daily driving it really is not too bad and I would know (daily drove my vette for over 2 years) obviously the gas mileage isn’t terrific but also may not be as bad as what most people think. On the highway the c6 with a 6 speed manual will get 28-30mpg highway but the city would be the mid teens. And yeah I love the BMW’s but agree that it doesn’t stand out as much. Get a c6 if you can man you will love it reliable and fast cars
That was the weirdest attempt at a flex I’ve ever seen, if it’s not an m series L BMW
I have both; a FBO TT bmw 135i and a c6 FBO LS3 vette (stock cam), the vette feels more like a better handling, light weight sports car to drive with better suspension articulation, feels a lot lower and wider. The limits of adhesion when turning feels greater with less body roll and less understeer, and it feels like it wants to try to prevent oversteer, basically more planted.. Both cars feel similar in wheelbase when in a oversteer drift but the 135 is just a bit easier, oddly enough my bmw feels more like a live axle when drifting compared to the vette that feels a bit more squishy independent rear suspension feel when drifting.. The 135 is a lot more touchy when the boost comes in therefore difficult to control part throttle especially around corners, but because the power comes on so much sooner and stronger than the vette, the 135 FEELS a lot FASTER even though its actually a bit slower in the 1/4 mile because the vette needs to rev out minimum 4,000 RPM + to make power, but the bmw only needs 2500+ rpm to make max torque power. Both of them have new sticky tires but the 135i hooks up a bit better from a stop on the street (maybe because its auto) but the vette is quicker on a track surface (bmw 0-60' foot is 2.1seconds and does the 1/4 mile in 12.0sec, and my vette 60' time is 1.85sec and 1/4mile in 11.8). My 135 is automatic, the vette is manual. Both cars get looks, but the vette gets more looks from everyone -not just enthusiasts. The BMW is maybe almost a bit more 'fun to drive' because of the turbo BOOST surprise factor, but the vette feels more like a delicate better handling exotic car and they feel completely different. If you are looking for straight line fast, the bmw cost less to go fast, but if you are more into handling get the vette.

I had the whole engine rebuilt, but when I originally went cam only... including headers, tuning, xpipe, and labor it was an 3kish
Including the clutch around 7k

Haha yep, minus the passenger it would have been very very tight... and he was auto lol so that made it a little tougher too

Add e85 and he would have no chance
I also had a passenger, may have been a diff store with no passengers in each car haha
