    Hi Sam, I appreciate all your doing to be of benefit.
    Something arose here in response to the title of this video. It seems saying "this easy shift disolves the thinker" can be a hook for those still conceptualizing non duality. Perhaps just adding something like "can" dissolve...
    Truly brought up from Love.
    I used to be so literal, had I read this and then it wasn't easy or I couldn't get it then there would be even more labeling and feelings of perhaps being stupid because what is being claimed didn't happen here. With Gratitude for your pointings.
    There is still a tendency to get hooked by words even recognizing we just made them all up. 😂

      Hi there! Thank you for your comment. I'm glad you're enjoying the videos and I understand your point. An ideal title would be "This Easy Shift Can Dissolve The Sense Of Being A Thinker", but from experience I can say that the TH-cam algorithm is punishing such titles. Nuance can easily be lost in titles, but I do try to deliver that nuance in the actual video. There's certainly a tricky balance to be had where video titles are both appealing and accurate.

    Hi Sam, thank you for sharing this video❤ In the past years I could do such practices and it really worked. However, I want to ask you something regarding my unconscious control on the body. When I sit down and keep quiet, after a while I begin to feel trouble in breathing and realise that its because my body is clenching around chest area and shoulders are going stiff. As I observe it more, it relaxes but then I feel the pelvis is clenching. I observe that, it relaxes but then I find that the chest is clenching again. I feel I developed some kind of unconscious unnecessary control on my body. What do you suggest?

      Hi Sapna, you're very welcome! I would not worry about achieving anything like "full-body relaxation". The relaxation I'm talking about here is merely an an antitote the state of fixation that can occur, in which one seems to merged into thought constructions. The point is simply to unhook that fixation by opening and relaxing. A relaxation of the body often comes along with this relxation, but it is not the main point. Once there is some amount of relxation, we drop any attempt to rearrange our experience and enjoy the uncontrived, natural openness of awareness itself. It then doesn't matter whether the body appears to be contracted or relaxed, as these are simply different kind of sensations occuring in awareness. They are welcome here, regardless of how they appear.
      I hope this was helpful. Let me know if you have any further questions :)

    Isn't going to sleep (while relaxing) the right response but at the extreme end? It's not functional but if there's so much relaxing, there is sleeping. But obviously to navigate the relative world we need to have some alertness but is this right?

    • @harjotmahal8985
      @harjotmahal8985 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Sleep when you want to sleep, relax if that's what feels like the right thing to do and be alert when alertness is required.
      Mind likes to complicate everything!
      Where is the one thinking all of this?

    • @RamSamudrala
      @RamSamudrala หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@harjotmahal8985 Thank you for your responses. I guess I was speaking from mind, more intellectually, it seems that the relaxation of awareness is what leads us to sleep everynight where our mind disappears for a while (until mind starts up with dreams). This mind is definitely interested in understanding the mystery (or taking steps to understand it better). That has been its goal in life (which is infinite job security).

    • @Sam_Gow
      @Sam_Gow  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Ram! Sure, too much relaxtion would mean falling into another extreme. The relaxation I'm pointing to here is merely an antidote to the state of fixation. Once there is some spaciousness, there is no need to relax further. This spaciousness is enjoyable in its own right, but it is more importantly an opening to awareness itself. Awareness itself is neither relaxed nor tense. It simply doesn't fall into our usual conceptual duality of relxation and fixation.
