    You've done an amazing job of tweaking the chassis of your GTR to be better than low, you're doing a great job and I'd like to shake your hand for that.

      Thanks man, happy to hear that. 😊 I did'nt do much, Öhlins and whiteline was there when I bought the car. I've added all the adjustable arms for allignment, but the big difference was when @andre82s2k /Atomic changed springs and gave the car a proper setup. That was night and day in comparison. 🤝

      Thanks rrems, really appreciate it! 😊👍 I did do another trackday after this, where my potential best laptime dropped by allmost 3 seconds. More speed in the fast sections, and some corners I did'nt touch the brake when I have done before. That's coming up next. 😉

      Thanks a lot man, exited to hear that you know what these cars are about, and what they can do! Or should be doing, 992 GT3RS are (in the right hands) in another league. But yeah, that was very fun to (sort of) keep up with the new rich man's toy in a 11 yo GT-R... Which is 1/3 or 1/4th of the price... :D Thanks again, consider subscribing, and you will see more of this.

    • @danpettersen1
      @danpettersen1  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      No, the car is 11 years old. 2012 my. I had it since 2016. None really, until this year. Allways run like clockwork previously, but I had an oil-leak from one of the turbos this year, that meant I had to change the turbos. Other than that, is just wearing-parts such as brakes, tires, wheel-bearings, and some bushings and links here and there.

    Lord Mercy, how were u keeping up with a boat in a ship? In the beginning, the RS was opening the gap only in corners, but u were having him on the straights.. he even failed to open for u to pass him. But overtime I guess the insane engineering of that RS have him confidence on the corners, where he was opening the gap more, making it difficult to catch up on the straights. That GTR sounds good.. insane driving skills!!! (South Africa)

    • @danpettersen1
      @danpettersen1  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! I currently run PFC 410mm front rotors with PFC pads, and Alcon rotors at the rear. I had Alcon at the front before the PFC's, they were just as good. Amazing performance, lasted 5 years with hard tracktime only. So I'll recommend those. Funny you should mention those, I actually have a new set of 052's on my shelf, so I'll be trying those out next season.

      Thank you! Are you refering to some places, or all the time? Ppl has commented that I upshift too early, but the max torque comes at 3000 rpm, and max hp starts from 5000 rpm and stays flat. So I dont need to drag the rpms.

      Just saw you video from Magny Cours, great driving and that GT-R was wild! :) 265/305 is a big difference, think you would be better even with a cheaper tire, but squared. But that was your suggestion in the first place.
      I've heard that too from the Porsche guys running C2R's, you get one or maybe 2 fast laps around the Nürburging. BUT, then everything has to be right, if you encounter any traffic, that's 2500 euro's down the drain....

      I highly doubt he “couldn’t handle it”. It’s much more impressive to have a GTR specced to hold its own with a GT3 RS on a twisty track then having huge horsepower to compensate. Anyone can pay for 1400hp that says zero about the drivers skills.
