- Why do we do these stupid things!? Tara National Park is Wild and Wonderful, full of nature including bears, wolves, wildcats and even a couple of idiots in a tent. In todays video we explore this beautiful place, leaving behind the comfort of our van and opting for a night in the woods in our tent.
Tara is located in Western Serbia, at almost 200km2 of stunning forest land and waters its not hard to believe this is where Serbia homes it's densest population of bears and other wildlife. We have absolutely fallen in love with this place, and really recommend people come and check it out for themselves!
Exploring Serbia in our home on wheels has been magical, we really hope this inspires more people to come check out this beautiful country.

⤈ WHO WE ARE ⤈
We are Philly and Keely and we live full time in our tiny home on wheels Martha. After building our DIY home in a Citroen Relay camper we spent a year living on the streets of London before quitting our jobs only to be met with lockdown. So after waiting for six months for the borders to reopen in Ireland we have finally hit the road in June 2021 and spent 90 days enjoying vanlife in Spain. Then we spent the next two months enjoying vanlife in Croatia before heading onto Serbia where we currently are and loving it!!

Just for future reference if you're that worried about bears you might not want to bring chocolate bars into your tents Seeing how bears can smell things from 2 to 3 Is miles away

Bears will definitely come into a tent for chocolate . They can smell it for miles . Get the largest can of bear spray you can buy , no buy two cans . Haven’t you two ever seen Yogi Bear .

Glad you enjoyed Serbia, I'm a scouser spent Xmas skiing Zlatibor ⛷. Were based in Central Belgrade (girlfriend and I). Been together few years I was astonished by the natural beauty of such a small nation. And.....it's prices. Been to the outskirts of Tara, Mokra Gora (small ski), I've deliberately not gone as we intend camping too, this summer. Subbed and keep Serbia our secret, if my lift pass increases due to an influx of Brits taking advantage of cheap fantastic skiing I'll blame u 2 😂😇😉enjoy ! Kopaonik great too, we go in 2 weeks.

hey! just came across this video. I plan to go to Tara national park tomorrow and camp solo. After you finished your food did you tie it to a tree?
From what I recall we ate all of our food and left any dishes far away from the tent, but you are definitely meant to tie food to a tree far away from the tent and like 4m high or something, so bring rope and a bag if you are planning to have food around camp. If we were out for more than one night we would have had to be a bit more organised, we didn't even remember the lighter 🤣🤣 idiots we love Tara national park, we hope to go back again when we are in Serbia again later this year. Please let us know if you see any bears! 🥰🥰

Get a dog so he can hear the bear :D , one trick so you can warm your tent is that u light one candle inside , and it will warm up the tent alot, and yes, i demand mooore videos

No it's just gas from a camping store in Croatia I think. Now that we have experienced boars in Turkey, they were huge I reckon I should have been scared of them too haha
Cool video guys but i want to talk about something more serious ... I'm worried...You must know that not in every country is safe like here in Serbia...You cant stay in forest alone while your bf goes for the lighter...You said your going to turkey next...Be careful...It is not Europe...They are obsessed with blonde girls...Or Northern Africa if you planning that...Just remember what happened to those poor Scandinavian tourists in Morocco. Thankyou so much for that advice, I think you are correct we feel very safe in Serbia, and will probably have to readjust how relaxed we feel in other countries, so really appreciate that advice. Just makes us want to come back to Serbia after even more ❤️❤️❤️
They were just mad Islamic extremists. Like the ones in London that stabbed people to death. Mad people are everywhere. The poor girls were just in the wrong place at the wrong time. It's very unlikely (statistically) you will run in to one and cannot judge an entire country or continent on that. The media only portrays death and suffering so makes the world seem that way. A tactic to keep westerners in the west to keep making the corporate kings rich :P
Those last couple of sentences ring true so much don't they! We try our best to judge places on our own personal experiences 💓💓 and Serbia and Turkey were both amazing 🥰🥰🥰
