Nothing demonstrates the power of a studio's reputation like the look in all the Allies eyes realising they were about to see the Cyberpunk trailer
which is fucking crazy considering how the world didn't even know what CDPR was before The Witcher 3... Overhyped studio, overhyped reactions for Cyberpunk, imo. They have created one good RPG everyone's heard about, 1 good RPG that many haven't heard about before TW3 came out and one average RPG nobody outside of Poland has heard about😂 seems legit...

@@paulunga I'm not German, I'm Polish. And yes, I'm not saying they haven't improved with each game. I'm saying that many people haven't heard about Witcher 1 and 2 before Witcher 3 came out and it's a fact (and before games even existed there were already novels written by Sapkowski).

For me, its a great conference for gamers, a good conference for Xbox's future, and a bad conference for Xbox1.
Rhey Marc Albalos Nailed it. This conference isn't gonna help sell the Xbox one this year but they're setting up a great future for their next console.
Xbox one X is the King of the 3rd party console games, so pushing 3rd parties might not be so bad. They are not yet ready with first parties.
I hope next year they show an exclusive Ninja Theory game and that Playground open world game. If those hit big, we would have 3 consoles with top tier first party titles. Living the dream.

As a show it was great. As something that's supposed to get me excited about xbox particularly, it was weak, but this time with the promise to not be weak in the future because of the new investment. For the rest of this year, it's just Forza Horizon 4. However, we should really take note of how Microsoft was able to convince so many publishers/devs to show off or reveal their games on their stage even though the much bigger audience being on Playstation, especially for the Japanese ones. I certainly would've guessed something like DMC5, Sekiro and Jump Force to be shown off at Playstation's.

DMC5, Kingdom Hearts 3 and CP2077 were the most beautiful games we got to see in E3 2018, that year was the most exciting.

Can I ask something? Does it magically make a game better when only certain people can play it? Why would I give a single damn if a game was exclusive or not? For all we know Microsoft could buy out pretty much anyone and they didin't. If it was as simple as those stupid exclusives then why don't they just buy 10 first party studios? They have the cash.

Great conference 9/10. Wanted more halo tho. Really buying the whole "everything plays best on xbox" slogan. Actually going to get KH3 on the X along with everything else shown.
It's a great conference but better for Xbox brands future than the present. We now know that Xbos is taking first party seriously and they have clearly worked hard to establish a better relationship with Japanese developers as a lot of the great Japanese games skipped Xbox the last couple of years. Xbox cat fix their first party problem over night but this is a great and realistic step. Also the two big games they do have coming Gears and Forza look interesting along with Ori. When the next generation rolls around Xbox could be in a very strong position similar to where Ps4 was to start this generation. That's a very very good thing and worthy of praise even from the most critical Xbox pundits.
I'm looking forward to Horzion 4 and Session. I loved playing Tony Hawk games on Gamecube and think that this game is going to make Sony fans jealous. As a Xbox Fan this is a nice first step into the future but hey I basically play Third Party Games most of the time unless it's Nintendo.
People are too focused on the lack of AAA exclusives (other than Halo, Gears, Forza). As a Ps4 pro and Xbox One X owner, I'll be more than happy to play all the multiplats at their best on the X. It's also great that a lot of people will also get to play most of the games presented on the PS4. That's not a bad thing IMO.
I think it helps Microsoft to get more eyes on their conference to bring and support all these 3rd party and indie developers.

Xbox focusing on multiplats because they, finally, are the best console to play all 3rd party games again. I mean performance, and superior online infrastructure. That, and all those studios they acquired are years out from producing exclusive games.
Seriously great conference, was hoping for an Elite version 2.0 controller, Rocksteady, and Splinter Cell. I PRAY Rocksteady is at PS conference tonight!!! Really don’t want another year going by without knowing what they are up to.
The scripted gameplay is INCREDIBLY inauthentic. I get that you have to show us in-game chat, but good god, we know it’s not candid, so stop treating us like we believe that it is.

Yeah, all the games I'm very excited for are all multiplats... even Halo which I love is most likely coming 2020. No gameplay shown, just a game engine tech demonstration. It's great that Microsoft has acquired a few studios, hopefully they will get Xbox to a great start when the next console launches.

No it's a legitimate observation. Other than gears forza and halo what was exclusive that was interesting? Microsoft doesn't get credit for multiplats. They still have the same lack of exclusives they had before.
8/10. The quality and diversity of the games they showed was great, but I wished they did a more hands-on, gameplay kind of presentation for more of them. Also, it lacked real surprises and most of their bigger exclusives are just the umpteenth iteration of franchises they have done for years now (HALO, GEARS, FORZA) - all of which looked nice, but they really need new AAA exclusive IPs.
That being said, my sweetest moment for this conference actually was their pledge to invest more into first party devs again (which bodes well for the future).
Xbox bastards stole my fave dev, Ninja Theory. After X1 I really wasn't planning on getting another xbox. Now I have too.
wkadalie I mean this is only a good thing, now Ninja Theory will have the budget they need to make an even better game than Hellblade already was. They won’t have to cut corners anymore. Can’t wait for their next project
I just find it sad. They never really got their due. Enslaved, DMC, Heavenly Sword, Hellblade are among my favorite games of all time. I wish Sony had bought them instead. They have the potential to be the next Naughty Dog. Sony should also buy House Marque. Before MS does.
@@wkadalie Sony uses small companies to profit of them, Sony does not care about the players, they just care about cash which would explain why theirs no crossplay because if theirs no crossplay then that means you cant play with your friends unless you BUY a PS4 which is why the sales are so high

Yeah, I'm with Kyle on the score. I was with the rest of the group watching the conference but thinking it over there were no actual exclusives that got me excited and 2018 has been bare bones so far for xbox games. The biggest thing they came with imo was Ninja Theory becoming a Microsoft studio

Regarding Halo: Infinite- The RIng World (Installation 04) of the original game Halo: Combat Evolved was destroyed. I did not confirm this, but it's been posted that the Morse Code on the Walkie Talkie during the E3 teaser translates to "SOS ZETA HALO GRD". Installation 07 is described as having "deer like creatures" in the novel, Halo: Hunters in the Dark.
Installation 07 is also supposed to be home of both The Flood, and infected Forerunners when most life was transferred to The Ark. It would be my guess that The Flood will be the the threat or at least a catalyst of what Master Chief has to face.

lol I had work at 6am the morning after this conference it aired at 9pm for me UK I wanted sleep and for like weeks I was saying i'll watch after work that day but then that night I couldn't resist lay in bed in pitch black room massive screen Cinema like experience and damn it was a great night, so glad I did, best night ever, better than first time I had sex, yeah I'm such a nerd lol But in work the next day all I could think about was these games lol I was like in my head "Cyberpunk..cyberpunk....devil may cry........Gears..... This definitely was a great show, akin to the 2016 Sony Press Conference. But, with the acquisition of so many studios into Microsoft, this definitely feels like a set-up for their next-gen console, which is... weh. Like, I prefer consoles to PC so I don't have to upgrade my hardware every five years, ya know? Hopefully this gen will stick it out a few years longer.
From an entertainment perspective, this is better than anything Microsoft has done in recent memory, great conference. That's on the backs of multi-platform games though and this conference doesn't move the needle for them in terms of bringing people over to x-box, or acquiring new customers. Some stuff was announced for the core x-box gamers and that's great, but if people didn't like Halo, Forza and Gears enough to buy your consoles before, they're not going to now. So if the goal of this is to sell consoles and to bring people over to you, I don't think they did a great job. As a general gamer though its great, I got to see a bunch of great games that I'll be able to play on any platform I choose and I commend MS for that. Dragged at times but way more dense than years past.
Even if there weren't many surprises, I wanna play some of those games on One X instead of my PS4 Pro. Really happy they got 1st party studios now for some exclusive announcements next year (even though We Happy Few is comin out on PS4, this is weird...)
One of main problems with Fallout 4 was dialogues. Im not fan of this but it was genius move. If there will not be npc's there will be no dialogues. Just players. What a move, Bethesda.

Correction: Hey allies dmc5 is absolutely without a doubt AFTER dmc2 chronologically. The first shot we see is the destroyed demon tower from dmc2. Cheers and happy E3

What if Fallout 76 changes permanently in updates. The trees and flowers dies and Bethesda has metadata on where most of the player controlled nukes falls. Then they use that data to add craters and destroyed buildings at those spots.

8.5/10 from me, from an average of 7/10 for Xbox itself (not a lot of exclusives, but Xbox’s first party situation is looking up) and 10/10 for the multiplats.
Hasan Al-Taie they had 18 exclusive showings, just because they’re not third person cutscene simulators doesn’t mean they’re not worth playing or looking forward to.

I already have a Ps4... all I'm saying is that they didn't show me a reason to have an Xbox too... I bet many people who are not crazy about Halo and Gears feel the same... I do want a second console... but I'm way more interested in a Switch rn.
MadMax23 Not really. XboxX only tops PS4Pro at 4k, which is a niche market. Not everyone plays at 4k. at 108060p which is standard for gaming, both consoles perform the same. In that context, you don't really have to upgrade from PS4 to Xbox. Plus, The RPGs that this conferance showed (like the Sekiro, or Captain Spirit,, I am willing to bet it will sell much more on PS4 than Xbox, because Xbox gamers are a demographic full of shooter multiplayers. They don't have the patience to go through a slow story. It's not because they dont know how to play those games, It's more because they were never treated that way. They have always been showered with Shooters. Both AAA iconic title of Xbox is a shooter. Every xbox owner owns either a Battlefield or a Cod.
Considering that, games like Jump Force, Sekiro, etc wont sell as much as it will on PS4. Similarly, Kingdom Hearts and Nier are both amazing games and yet, they will not break the record selling of the title on PS4.
Which is also why I am really worried about Ninja Theory. The team there are master story tellers in Action RPGs, and I am afraid it wont be an Action RPG coming out in XBOX from them in the future.
Gears Tactics made me all moisty-eyed, been clamoring it for years. Shame you swiped it, but to each their own. Not really any new ip's was a low point, but damn what a conference.

There were some questionable moments on what they decided to show at their press conference, but overall it was pretty good. They showed a lot of great new games, most of which were multi-platform. I hoped Xbox would have shown a few new exclusives, this was their big moment and they didn't utilize it.
Gears 5 looks amazing, I can’t wait to play it. I also think you guys have been too hard on 4, it was a great game that successful introduced new characters and I can’t wait to see where they’re taking the story next with Kait. Also, what’s going with JD!? I need answers!
Most hyped moment for me was Shadows Die Twice though, it looks more amazing that I could have even imagined. Miyazaki is truly a genius!
Overall I give the conference a 8.5, I agree with Kyle for the most part and I think the other allies highly overrated it. I do also think it’s the best MS conference in a long while though. Lol
9\10 conference. Good presentation got me hyped for those games. 4/10 Xbox conference lack of true worthwhile exclusives don't convince me of buying an Xbox one.

As a gamer this was 9.5/10 for me but as a PC/PS4 owner this was from Microsoft perspective 6/10 at best becouse most of those amazing games were multiplats. No reason to buy Xbox for those who have PC and Sony console. Anyway this was by far the best Microsoft conference.
Doesn't matter imo. They said new first party games were coming and every thing shown will play best on xbox1 (X). 9/10 for me wanted more halo
blackflash2011 except they will play best on PC not OneX. And new first party games will come 2-3 yrs from now at best so thats next gen. So again no reason to buy current Xbox consoles.
Black Widow you PC kids are the worst. Build me a $500 PC that can compete with the X. You can't. Xbox makes more money then Sony every quarter. Xbox fans have a higher attach rate on game purchase. Console players play on consoles.

If Pirates of the Caribbean fit, Marvel and Star Wars would 100% fit. It's just that there's too much material to use. You don't want to just do summons with them, but entire worlds would be ginormous it seems.
Ayoul that's the thing. Tonally it didn't in KH2 and it probably wont in KH3. Pirates looks great but it stands completely out from the rest of the world on KH3
That's fair. I like that they are not limiting themselves to cartoons and Pixar movies though. I've always considered each world to be it's own thing and Sora, Donald and Goofy need to fit the world and not the other way around if that makes sense.
Ayoul It does but the only issue is is that all of the cartoon and Pixar worlds they have visited/are going to visit have a specific brand and type of Disney magic that flow together well and that the kingdom hearts series also vibrates. Pirates, Star Wars, and Marvel have a completely different magical feel that don't mesh well with KH and makes them stand out. Don't get me wrong I'm excited for the new Pirates world, it looks great but I'm pretty sure it's not gonna fit with the rest of the worlds or the game's tone in general
We'll see I guess, but the mechanics they added are really cool at least.
