For Honor creative director voice is EPIC! Some people say - why they made Watch Dogs 2? First was shitty, why create 2nd part....Well i remember one thing, before WD1 a creative director from ubi soft said - "WE ALREADY KNOW THAT WE CAN MAKE A FRANCHISE FROM A NEW GAME, EVEN BEFORE THE FIRST PART IS FINISHED." AKA- Assassins Creed, Watch Dogs,FarCry etc....

Steep stresses me out so much because it's so similar to SNOW. I really don't want to see it die due to loss of support before it even leaves early access. It deserves so much more.

STEEP is a fist in EA BIG (SSX Tricky) face! Game industry is the best industry. Because it combines music,cinematography and art!
to me the VO for wildlands wasn't meant to be players it felt like it was the people we the players will be playing, if it was meant to be players then the second that guy botched the stealth kill he would have been called so many names, but how it played out it sounded more like how a non military person expects an ops team to talk on a mission.
Apparently Mark Cerny hasn't defected, his name was in the credits for Death Stranding and he's gonna be working on that.
I agree with the scores, they had some really god ups but bad lows, the for Honor and South Park demos were done really really good, i think this is actually better than the Playstation were they didn't talk about some of their games at all but it's also way more risky and you don't have enough time for more.
Contrast the joy in this conference compared to giant bomb. No sense of humour whatsoever. They almost seemed offended by the south park bit and we're trying their hardest not laugh. Super childish and bitter.
Only reason Palmer wears sandals is that people don't let him walk around bare foot. For real.

Next year I really want Ubisoft to take a different approach to the fake voice chat between the players that they always seem to do..Instead of the stupid tactical stuff, have weird mouth noises, crying babies and people arguing about who fucked the last part up.
If you are going to have the reputation for having strange press conferences, might as well embrace it I guess? That opening was simultaneously the worst and best thing I've ever seen . . . Ubi did alright this year I thought, skeptical of GR:W and WD2, I hope they're good but they've burned me too many times in recent years, Steep has my interest, I've always wanted an open world snowboarding (and skiing, wing-suiting, etc, apparently) game, I'll keep an eye on it, my favorite part was all the terrible ways people were dying and exactly zero damns were given by the characters in the game haha. Also this goes without saying but the whole South Park segment was fantastic, I love that they are equal opportunity offenders, no one is safe from them XD
I think it stands out well from Sony's ultra-gritty "we're so serious" "cinematic blah blah blah" thing.
there's room for both, I like cinematic, I like goofy, I like things being explained: God of War, Sea of Thieves, Steep, and Zelda were all presented very differently and I enjoyed all of them, it's good to have diversity in presentation and types of games. However, I can't say I like office tours (seriously wtf EA)
darthmarth87 I absolutely understand that people like you are out there, and I think they should definitely make games for you to enjoy. But for someone like me, I really don't care for cinematic experiences. I don't think they're games. And while I think that people should definitely get to have them, I don't personally like sharing an industry with them. I feel like they crowd out the games that I want to play and want to have more exposure. I also feel like the games I like to play get criticized against the types of games I DON'T like to play.
I see it as being like Miniature Golf and Golf. They share a lot of the same terminology, equipment, techniques, and maybe even a significant overlap in audiences. But they're completely different things. People don't really want to read about miniature golf in their golfing magazines and they don't really want new golf courses criticized with editorializing on why there isn't a giant metal gorilla on the fareway.
I hear you, and trust me I don't care for every game being cinematic, for every Uncharted I play there's a Shovel Knight, or Dragon's Crown for example, and hey like the games you like and if people out there criticize them for being less grandiose or you for liking them, who cares, it's all entertainment and all a fabulous waste of time whatever the genre :)
I doubt games like Wildlands and watchdogs 2 will even look like what they presented by release

I watch all these reaction-videos about games and it's the weirdest thing, because I only played two games in my whole life, and that was more than 15 years ago (Turok and Half-Life). I don't get any of these or why someone would be so ecstatic about a new game or developer. This is some strange universe you live in. Nevertheless, keep going and I hope you enjoy all this stuff!
Rewatching this to prepare myself for E3 2017 and this presentation starts strong with the cringe... and ends in a horrible way too. So insulting to the memory of Freddie Mercury...
