Nice, i honestly thought that they where going to anounce this scorpio console as the new gen console from microsoft, not a mid gen boost like ps4pro that would have pissed off so many people was pleasntly suprised by the xbox1x if only scalebound was still a thing i would have been pickng one up

It's so weird, because a lot of the project names, "Nintendo NX," "Xbox Scorpio" are WAY better (at least cooler) than their final, proper names.

I agree with the guys about the quality of the conference itself in terms of pacing and placement. However, there was nothing to make me think I am even going to touch my Xbone in the next year let alone upgrade to the newer console. All games shown are also on PC or are multi platform. If you have a decent PC rig then the One X has nothing for you. No mention of frame rates other than Forza 7 so we can expect pretty much everything else to be 30fps on the One X. Crackdown 3 looks like ass. Its a clear downgrade on previous footage and seems like most of the building destruction has been removed. I'm also sensing another No Mans Sky situation with Sea of Thieves. Looks cool but the devs are still very vague on the exact structure of the game, story, mission structure, end game etc. The combat also looks very poor. Quantity over quality here, classic Microsoft dishing out those cheques for exclusivity deals. Such a shame no big first party announcements. Oh well.
because ms allows to play the games on your rig, so you should appreciate that. its not usual to do this.
they didn't 'do the swipe' as brandon would call it, showing how much of an upgrade onix graphics are over regular one , forza looked good but is it really a huge upgrade over xbone/ps4 graphics? i didn't see it

That was a great conference, the best so far.
Microsoft did a great job.
Where's all the love and respect? I can understand people not being convinced into buying the console because of the lack of exclusives, but they went out of their way to have the most new games shown. I'll be looking forward to playing a lot of the games they had during the conference

All they have shown were multiplats. Going to be available on PS4, PC or both. After this conference, I still see zero reasons why I should invest in a Xboxone X.
Also: Releasing Cuphead and Crackdown 3 in Oct-Nov fall season next to Big games like Asscreed Origins, Battlefront 2, CoD WWII etc is not a good idea. That is how Titanfall 2 got fucked...

You are probably right that early September would have been better but I believe that the game is distinctive enough and a good "pick up and play"-game so that it won't be buried by Triple A-titles :) Especially considering that the only Triple A titles within a week of release are 2 sports games with FIFA18 and Forza7

nothing they showed made me even consider buying an xb1x.. most games are multiplat and dont forget ps4 pro isnt that weaker than the X..
It's like 40% more powerful overall (on all aspects). Regardless of games, that's impressive for the price.
Borefest zzz can't believe they didn't even have 1 new triple A first party game ,no VR and £450 no thanks no reason to buy it maybe in a year or 2 when there's games to play and it's £299
"Console launch exclusive" is "timed exclusive", but they phrased it that way in order to not be obvious that almost all games they present will be on PS4 too...
it was a meh conference. nothing that terrible and nothing that great. They had some interesting things they showed which i want LIS2, but nothing else really jumped at me or amazed me. i already know PlayStation will amaze though.
Remember if you want true 4K you also need a 4K tv

Was Forza the only AAA exclusive game they showed? Am I forgetting another? Sea of thief, CupHead and Ori looks great, but they don't have a high cost to make. MS seems only willing to spend on Forza, Gears and Halo.

Really strange that your perception of that actually pretty lame conference was so positive..I wonder why?! There were almost no surprises, no innovation. Just a lot of multiplstform titles and few expected exclusives.

How can u look at Shadow of War and say the combat looks dull? It's similar to Batmans which is awesome, its counter based and I love it. The sole reason why I loved Shadow of Mordor was the combat.
Most of those games we can play on PC and for exclusives we have Playstation.
As for the DB game, i saw Godlen Freeza there so it should also have DBS characters.

Am I the only one who was underwhelmed with both the EA and MS conferences?
I mean sure, the 3 games that blew me away were Metro, Athem, and of course Star Wars, but I fell asleep so many times during both conferences.
Husnan Chaudhry Sony's conference was pure trash.
Overall a pretty good presser in my opinion. Sure, they didn't convince me or seemingly anyone on the panel why exactly we need an Xbox One X but they still showed a lot of games and even exclusives (even though a lot of them are timed exclusives), so they did something Bethesda and EA failed to do.. Show us new games we never heard of and some of them we got excited about (well I did).. Best press conference this year so far but I expect Sony and maybe even Ubisoft to be better

Glad the fellow behind the camera actually had his finger on the pulse of the videogames industry when scoring this conference. Microsoft didn't do what they needed to move the needle for their current position.

Exactly, really sad to see that after 3 years this generic game is all we are getting. Than again everyone treating Crackdown like it was a AAA exclusive to begin with showed the thirst was very real.
That trailer was laughable..especially in comparison to what they showed years ago. Talking about destruction but not showing anything, All that Fluoride seems to work, eh?! I really don't know if I can trust Easy Allies after this conclusion.
Late comment: It's the same game as 1/2 just with better graphics and those games were never very good to begin with. At the time, sure I admit I enjoyed them but that's because what they were doing was semi-new. Now after hundreds of similar games, it's just not fun anymore.
I went back and played through both of them earlier this year and holy shit, they were bad.

I like it , Microsoft did the right thing to call the X a member of the family .
you're not forced to upgrade if you don't afford , you can still play as everybody without spending , fair and respectful to the fans .

DXAdamJensen They spent an Hour praising the New DBZ game on their post E3 coverage stream. They spent maybe 15 mins at the most talking about Metroid. They definitely are amped for DBZ as well. And I wouldn't call that a trailer for Metroid, just an acknowledgment to fans saying "hey we are making it, quit speculating and bugging us"
Calling Backwards Comp, a good move. Have you ever checked the actual Stats on that? In time spend in % on a console almost none is spend with that. Just saying. Well at least I can say, this year the PC was okish. But still again nothing that really blew me away. Not to mention that they had almost No XBOX Exclusive.... only timed timed timed.

5/10 - Such a underwhelming presentation. They brought us "the most powerful console" and only showed multiplatform games and a few indie exclusives that could run on a 360? No new IP, no surprises, no nothing... Microsoft just gave up on Xbox consoles entirely at this point.
