Hi! Great to see you creating Moonring content, was a little impatient for it. The shield stat is apparently called 'poise' and what might help with the nasty bug would be using the terrain to 'slow' it down while you are free to attack. Break a leg.

this game very much reminds me of caves of qud, I wish caves of qud had the same streamline controls and settings as this game though.
right now qud has the annoying diagonal controls, and the fact that they force you to use the num pads unless you rebind everything(like i do) and thus mess up half of your hotkeys, they should let us do more with our mouse
